•TOWN HOUSES GENERALLY OF TWO TO THREE STOREY HOUSES WHERE WE SEE COMMON WALL SHARED BY NEIGHBOURING HOUSES. •FIRST & LAST HOUSES IN A ROW ARE SAID TO HAVE END TERRACES. •MIDDLE HOUSES SAID TO HAVE MID TERRACES .

•THEY HAVE 3 TYPES OF HOUSES. •EACH ONE HAS A DIFFERENT GATE . •12’X15’ IS THE MINIMUM COMMON PARKING AREA. •45 CM IS THE COMMON PLINTH HEIGHT. •ENTRANCE DOOR WIDTH IS 1.2M

•THEY HAVE A INCLINED WALL BESIDE ENTRANCE WALL WITH A SQUARE WINDOW USED BY OWNERS FOR PEEPING TPWARS ENTRANCE. •THEY HAD A COURTYARD NOW USED AS A COMMON SHAFT PLACED B/W BOTH HOUSES. •CROSS VENTILATIONN IS SEEN.

•WC & BATH AREAS ARE SEPARETED . •THEY HAVE BEDROOM ON EACH LANDING. •SKY LIGHT WAS USED BUT IN INDOIRECT WAY HENCE I.E MAIN SOURCE OF VENTILATION. •USAGE OF WINDOWS IS LESS.

LESS IS MORE •EVERY BEDROOM IS SPACIOUS. •HEIGHT OF COMMON COMPOUND WALL IS 1M. CONCEPT OF HAVING LESS HEIGHT COMPOUND WALL ENCOURAGES MORE INTERACTION B/W NEIGHBOURS.

•TERRACES ARE CONNECTED.

THE DINNING AND KITCHEN SPACE IS 2 STEPS BELOW .
