 Supervisor to ensure approved PTW from Emal operation is available prior to enter any Emal facilities.  Obtain isolation permit and confined space permit.  Only competent and authorized personnel to be deployed, supervisor to control.  Supervisor to give tool box talk prior to start the task and must be documented. This shall cover the method statement and risk assessment.  Proper coordination with Emal shift supervisor prior to commencement of the activity.  Activity shall be carried out the personnel supervision of receiving activity.  Ensure all workers received the Big 5 training from EMAL training

 Work check list has to be completed.  Barricade the area with sign board and provide appropriate electrical insulation material.  Inspect all hand tools to be used for the task, do not use homemade hand tools, use appropriate hand protection.  In case of emergency, immediately contact EMAL Emergency Response Team, EMERGENCY NO:02-509 2111  Extra care to be taken while pulling the cable on cable tray/ladders, use hard hand gloves.  Extra care to be taken while pulling cable to the existing cable tray/ladders, if necessary protects the existing cable with polyethylene sheet.  Maintain housekeeping around the working area.

space.  Provide fresh air inlet fan as required.  A competent person will be positioned outside the confined space is such a manner that he will be able to monitor the activity and status of the personnel working inside. He will be the immediate source of contact of those personnel in confined space.  Ensure that one competent person reserve on site while 1st person on break (toilet).  In case of emergency, immediately contact EMAL Emergency Response Team.  Confined space watchman to be posted at entrance of confined space at all times and to sign workers into and out of confined space  All personnel involved in activities must wear P.P.E.’s at all times (hard hat, safety glass, safety shoes, hand gloves, dust mask 3M-8210, cover all. GLANDING, JOINTING AND TERMINATION: → Opening of insulation and cut the cable for jointing/termina tion. → Crimp the lugs/ferrules to the cable. → Remove the bolt from the breaker and tight the cable lugs with bolts to the breaker
