Thomas – Solomon Prior Authorization - NASCO Description: Prior Authorization is primarily for the claims process based on the procedure codes and to verify whether the authorization is bypassed or removed for the corresponding claim. On an unscheduled annual basis the operational list of services and supplies requiring prior authorization is pulled and modified for removal of authorization. The List is for managed
groups of PPO, POS and DA products are considered such as Fully insured, ASO, SHBP and Small groups.
