"VSSA" Vivekananda Social Service Association and as the name suggests in every academic session various social activities like literacy drives, awareness campaigns, NGO visits, blood donation camps, parinda hanging and a lot more, have been performed by the club members. Trees are considered as lifeline for the human life and the depletion of trees raise the global concern thus tree plantation is one of the activities which is performed on a large scale every year by the VSSA club.We at VSSA organize this cognizant event annually on 8th August in Jaipur city, we further promote the event calling it as VSSA Day.
KEY OBJECTIVES TO INDUCT A TREE PLANTATION DRIVE
To protect and enhance trees in the campus vicinity To develop a dedicated and diverse volunteer corps To inspire, mobilize and train volunteers from schools and various organisations To increase public awareness of the value, benefits and needs of trees. To increase citizen involvement in tree planting and tree care. To plant and steward trees using the highest professional standards. To achieve high tree survival rates through citizen involvement. To build a sense of community by facilitating grassroots environmental action efforts.
Being the part of the curriculum of VSSA club and needy situation of society it was very necessary to conduct this drive, other than that, the main motto of the club is to plant more and more trees in order to increase density of the same during rainfall.

POSTER :-'Poster' being one of the basic source of advertisement and spreading information was designed by the group students by organizing a logo competition and finally the event got its identity in the form of logo.

This year VSSA focused keenly on schools of Jaipur for plantation having a vision to generate awareness in school students towards greenery. More than 78 schools were requested for the same out of which 43 participated in the event wholeheartedly. For the plantation drive complete responsibility was given to students and faculties of VIT Campus, several routes were prepared according to schools and students and faculty members were designated on these routes.
Auditorium Function A function was organized on VSSA Day (8th August) in auditorium to give overview of the whole occasion.The function hosted………………………… and a documentary depicting sincere works of VSSA was presented, dignitaries and student delivered the speeches for the same.

VIT University Flag Off After the auditorium function all the students and dignitaries reached VIT Campus premises for tree plantation. Around 400 plants have been planted there by students, faculty members and respected dignitaries. After the plantation in VIT University premises students left for their assigned routes for tree plantation. 10 buses left for the routes at different locations and around 150-200 students took part in the tree plantation.
