Scope

The present document describes the installing procedure of different software used in RP for designing, planning and for interacting with different interfaces. S.M. Mashihure Romman

Audience

Target group of this documents are entire RP, emphasizing the newly recruited System Engineers. This document will ease the preparation stage to cope pace with the on going work and contribute to the department as quickly as possible.

Objective – Foster the Process of Accumulation in the System

What to do, and how to do are the basic questions, that remain unclear and unanswered to the newly recruits. Installing the software needed in day to day activities and being acquainted with then in faster pace will help the new recruit contribute to the departmental work ever faster.

Different software used in Radio Planning department

These are the main Software Used in Radio Planning: 1. Fallos 3.0 (SQL Version) 2. Planet EV 4.2 3. Google Earth 4. RPET (Radio Planning Expansion Tool) 5. RDT (Radio Dimensioning Tool) 6. ROC (Roll Out Controller) 7. TEMS (For Drive Test Group)

4. 1) Installing Fallos I. II. III. IV. V.

Run \\GP-PC-13000465\Tools_Software\Fallos_Setup\setup.exe In the installation time, some file need to click in yes when setup is ongoing. When installation finished the go to \\GP-PC13000465\Tools_Software\MapXsetup\setup.exe When finished then copy “kart and map” folder from \\GP-PC13000465\Tools_Software\MapXsetup\ to your local machine “C:\Program Files\MapXsetup” in that location. After complete this step go to \\GP-PC-13000465\Tools_Software\Fallos DataBase link File\ Copy the “MSRDO20.DLL” file and paste to following location “C:\WINDOWS\system32” and double click on the dll file and open with then select from the programs then click on the browse

Then click on the regsvr32.exe. to register the dll file into your machine.

4.2) Installing Planet V5.3 1. Please Ensure your local machine has Admin Privilege. 2. Please go to \\GP-PC-13000465\Tools_Software\Mentum Planet\Mentum Planet 5.3\ 3. Then Check first from your local machine – start>> control panel>> Add or remove programs>> has installed already dotNet Framework 3.5 Sp1, If not then select from the location “dotnetfx35.exe “and install it in your local machine. 4. After install .NET 3.5 SP1, reboot the machine. 5. Then click on “Mentum_Planet_Setup.exe” to install :

6. Click on Browse and locate your installation folder in the local Machine. Then click on the Install Button. Input PID: 68621-2791684293 during setup. 7. After Finished the installation procedure then go to folder “planetv531_patch3” from the shared location and run the patch “Mentum Planet 5.3.1 Patch.exe”. 8. Once Planet installation completed, put “Settings.xml” files under C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Mentum\Planet 5 If you can’t find hidden path Application Data, you need to open Windows Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> View Tab -> Advanced settings: Hidden files and folders -> select radio button to Show hidden files and folders. Then, Apply and OK.

Copy “Settings.xml” from the share location in the above location (under C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Mentum\Planet 5). 9. After finished this step, 'regedit' from RUN

10.Find for registry key " isregistered". Set all of their values as TURE (for four time)

11. In the Last “isregistered” make it true and click on edition change the value from 3 to 1.

12.Then create an environment variable named lsforcehost with value 172.25.15.10, if you have already previous version in your local machine (V 4.5) then ignore this step.

For creating EV, right click to “My Computer” - Advanced  Environment Variables  System Variables  New

Variable Name: lsforcehost Variable value: 172.25.15.10 13.Start mP5.3.1 again. Edit -> Setting -> Data manager to setup his/her own connection Profile – same as 4.5.1 to set your own profile to logon DM. and click to \\planetev1\DataManagerFiles \

14.Connect Data Manager 5.3.1 – Data -> Data Manager and do a fresh get the 5.3.1 Data manager projects and save it to your own local project.

4.3) Installing Google Earth With Google Earth , Engineers can get site location information in terms of surrounding regions and important sites. 1. Install Google Earth Run GoogleEarthWin.exe from the Installation Source Path Folder. Installation Source Path: \\GP-PC-13000465\Tools_Software\Google Stuff\Google Earth\ 2. Load GP Sites’ Coordinates file from \\GP-PC-13000465\Tools_Software\Google Stuff\Google Earth\GP Site Loader\Google_Earth_Site_Loader.kml 3. Read Help Files for Google Earth Help Documentation path: http://earth.google.com/userguide/v4/index.html 4. Master Key Board Shortcuts Key Board Shortcuts http://earth.google.com/userguide/v4/ug_keyboard.html

4.5) Installing RDT 1. Install RDT Run \\GP-PC-13000465\Tools_Software\RDT Setup\setup.exe Ignore Any Interruption while installation time, If it says, particular DLL file is busy or any system valid is more recent than the software is trying to replace. Then copy \\GP-PC-13000465\RDT_Update\ rdt.exe and paste into your local machine C:\Program Files\Radio Dimension Tool\.

4.6) Installing ROC (Roll Out Controller) 1. Call ROC HELPLINE 01714-412803 to get access to \\bstation. When you have got access to \\bstation then you will be able to map drive.

2. Run \\bstation\ROC\ROC_NEW

3. Select Map Network Drive 4. Select any unmapped drive such as M:/N:/ etc and write \\bstation\ROC\ROC_NEW in the Folder field.

5. Upon executing the above window, it will open a new explorer with M:\ in the Address field as bellow.

Now run setup.exe from M:\. Rest of the part of ROC Installation is simply Clicking the Next button.

4.7) Installing TEMS 1. Install TEMS From \\GP-PC-13000465\Drivetest_Tools_Software\TEMS 7.1.1\TEMS_Investigation_7.1.1.exe 2. Chose GSM Only. 2. Read documents from \\GP-PC-13000465\Drivetest_Tools_Software\TEMS 7.1.1\Documents 3. Ericsson’s TEMS after sell service URL http://www.ericsson.com/solutions/tems/ Expert TEMS users are prescribed to visit the above site on a frequent basis. 4. \\gp-pc-13000465\Tools_Software\TEMS 9.1\TEMS Investigation 9.1.1 Full Install\ TEMS_Investigation_9.1.1.exe 5. \\gp-pc-13000465\Tools_Software\TEMS 9.1\TEMS Investigation 9.1.4 patch\

4.8) Installing ALEX (Active Library Explorer) 1. Copy whole directory ALEX from \\GP-PC-13000465\Tools_Software\ folder and paste it to your local drive. 2. Click C:\ALEX\Alex_All\alexwin\Install.exe provided that you have pasted ALEX folder in C drive. 3. Complete the setup. 4. Click C:\Program Files\ALEX\alex.exe to Run ALEX for the first time. 5. You will see an icon in the Status bar. Double click it to open this window. Use the following Settings in different tabs of ALEX. Browser Tab Settings:

6) M2000 and PRS Installation files and installation procedure Please go through the below procedure to install the M2000 V2R11 Client at your PC and be sure that it works properly. Make sure that you have admin privilege at your PC and you have at least 2 GB free space in your PC.
