QUALITY CONTROL DEPARTMENT QUALITY ASSURANCE SYSTEM Quality is always a vital parameter for customer’s satisfaction. Quality is of prime importance in any aspect of business. Scope of Quality Control The scope of quality control, quality assurance and testing are good. It has very Well:  Testing Laboratory.  Machine auditing system.  A good training system.  Excellent analytical backup.  Technical expertise. Responsibility of Quality Assurance Manager:  Responsible for all quality matter of fabric.  Yarn selection.  Monitoring product development.  Organize Laboratory.  Inspection under 4- point system.  Documentation after shade check of every lot. Responsibility of In-charge of Quality Control:  Making report.  Supervise the Quality control process.  Check machine is running according to program or not.  Check program can meet the requirement. Which is mentioned in the order sheet or not.  Check yarn is approved by Quality control or not. Quality assurance system can be divided into following steps: 1. On line Quality assurance system and 2. Off line Quality assurance system.

Online Tests:  Dyed fabric.  Shade check.  Wash fastness.  Water fastness.  Crocking fastness. Responsibility of ON-Line Quality Control: To check the following things:  Machine control  Buyer  Design  Grey fabric GSN & Stitch Length  Yarn count & Lot no  Yarn whether approved or not by Q.C. Department  Finished control process. Off-Line Tests: Off-Line tests for finished fabrics are divided into two groups. These are as Follows:  Physical tests  Chemical tests Responsibility of OFF-Line Quality Control: To check the following things:  Inspection of fabric under 4-point system.  Yarn count and lot no.  Buyer.  Design.  Stitch length of fabric.  Shade of fabric within one order. Physical Tests: o GSM of Fabric. o Abrasion resistance / Pilling. o Dimensional stability test. o Spirality test.

o Color fastness to rubbing test (Dry / wet). o Bursting strength test (For Knitted fabric). o Tensile Strength test (For Woven fabric). Chemical Tests:  Fastness to washing.  Fastness to light.  Fastness to heat.  Fastness to actual laundering  Fastness to Chlorinated water.  Color Fastness to perspiration.  PH test.  Spray test (water repellency).  Shrinkage test. Again on line Quality assurance system can be divided into the following steps: (a) Raw material control. (b) Process control. Tests are done at those stages here1) After Scouring-Bleaching: -PH test -Absorbency test. -Size test. -Whiteness test -Yellowness test -Pick- up % 2)Finishing :

-Shade checking. -Peach finish quality. -Finish type. -Hand feel. Online Quality control: Raw material control: Kavitha Dyeings is always very concern about the quality of the product. So, they get fabric from the best quality yarn & utilizes technical evaluation in every stage of the production, as we know the quality product depends on the raw material quality. Process control : Process control means the selection of right process and controlling of some parameters. Such as PH, Water hardness, water volume, Temperature etc.
