Pros: None Cons: None On a day at work, you need to prioratise your work, ensure accurate and efficient delivery. Have close relation ship with all subordinates, superiors, ensure no ambiguity prevails among the team members. Delegate work as much as possible maintaining the level of confidentiality and based on authority level. When the work load increase, ensure to distribute the work in a balanced manner also ensure all customers requirements are completed in time and efficiently. During my tenure, I have learned to have listening capacity, how to solve employees problems, also learned how to provide necessary advises to all superiors, conduct meetings, etc. Most enjoyable part of the job was many suggestions and recommendations in the policies and procedures has been accepted and implemented in the company. The daily activities for all 7 air quality station with 18 instruments per station will keep you fully occupied for the day except when you need to perform trouble shooting due to instrument failure was

notice. Things are learned on the actual maintenance of the instrument being work with like how to removed the components the easy way and to install it. how to easy determine and put the instrument back to operation the most in no time to avoid long down time. The management is well organizer thru the ISO system. All co-workers are very cooperative and easy to approach with. I find the most hardest part of the job is when you need the spare parts and they can not produce on time. Pros: Balanced work time Cons: management contact Nothing learned specifically from the company .Background and experience not really valuated in the work. Initiative not encouraged . No management contact. No possibility to attend seminars or conferences to keep breast with oil and gas development. Environment with co workers excellent. The hardest part of the job is that you are responsible for everything you do with no specific guidance advise. At the end you might be misjudged in five minutes by your management while appreciated by all other co partners and co workers.. A typical day at work: Review urgent e-mails and follow up.

Perform assigned task on time with the required quality. Attend project meetings, seminars and presentations. Attend scheduled assigned Training courses, and apply at work. Help colleagues to solve their problems. Cooperate with project team to achieve the targets on time. What I learned: How to solve problems for major project development. Asset Management. How to develop major projects and feasibility studies systematically and conform to the Directorate procedures. Management: How to manage my time to perform all the assigned works and manage all the contractors timely. How to optimize the works and delegate amongst team colleagues. My co-workers: Management (through my supervisor - an assistant manager). Other senior engineers and engineers, technical assistants and secretaries. Colleagues in other departments within the Directorate and other Corporate Directorate colleagues. The hardest part of the job: To perform multi-tasks on time with the required quality. To communicate with all the co-workers efficiently, and share ideas and information optimally, and more importantly - to convince others when their concepts or ideas are incorrect or sub-optimal. Pros: Reasonable Salary and Perks Cons: Inconsistency in implementing promotions. Daily routine included meeting various personnel, mainly engineers from QP, Consultant and Contractors related to their requests for technical drawings and documents for various projects. Also other documentation works. Guidance and support from the management were satisfactory in most cases. Support from co-workers were very helpful in some occasions. Not very hardest part. In some occasions, they were the additional delegated works from more than one staff due to their absence due to leave. Most enjoyable works were searching and finding the required drawings / data from thousands of completed projects/ core drawings / documents for the new / ongoing projects. Was this review helpful? wait until the employee comes since no one likes to wait and their car parked wrongly (it is very difficult to find car parking in the building where I'm working).With no lunch break and 8 continues working hours gives me some real headache sometimes but I guess this is the situation at all the big companies after all I have gained 8 yeas of well experionce in the place where I'm working now. Secure and pretty environment with good leisure facilities, subsidised restaurant, accommodation provided and good health insurance and health-care. Quiet and rather dull, however.
