Vapor and liquid volumetric flowrates are adjusted to their actual volume occupied in HP Separator including 10% of piping inventory.

Total heat input (Q) from fire will be transfered to fluid, heat accumulated by vessel metal is not considered. Input heat (Q) is used mainly to increase the fluid temperature (Sensible Heat Q s) and partly to vaporise the liquid (Latent Heat of Vaporization H)

Relief liquid is flashed fractionally at 1%, 2%, 5% to determine its respective latent heat. Repetition is interupted once the latent heat tends increasing and the flashing vapour will be relieving flowrate as required.
