Prestigious Textiles Ltd Founded in 1988 Prestigious Textiles quickly carved out a niche as a specialist textile wholesaler and distributor supplying retailers in the UK and Ireland. Today, the company reaches out to a customer base stretching around the world, with a portfolio embracing wallpapers and curtain poles in addition to fabrics for draperies, upholstery and accessories. Headquarters is a custom-built facility in the textile heritage heartland of West Yorkshire. This 60,000 ft2 complex houses bulk stock piece-goods, cut-lengths, computerised sampling and cutting distribution departments plus wallpaper and curtain pole warehousing, supported by off-site stockholding warehouses and a sample manufacturing unit. With partner businesses in Ireland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, South Africa and China plus trading alliances in over 100 countries, goods are sent daily to destinations worldwide. Yet perhaps Prestigious Textiles’ greatest strength lies closer to home. A firm commitment to its own legacy and ongoing investment in corporate resources have secured both a high profile and a fine reputation – attributes which continue to foster loyalty and respect from Prestigious Textiles’ employees, agents, stockists, designers, media and consumers alike.
Cut Length Department Set within a computerised warehouse and using sophisticated barcode-based technology, the Prestigious Textiles cut length department processes all cut orders received by the group around the world. With the team working multi-shifts to ensure and maintain exceptional service levels, orders are picked, cut and inspected before being despatched by courier on a daily basis.
Stock Warehouse This enormous stockholding warehouse is a high volume digitised facility which has been custom designed to hold and manage vast amounts of stock. Full rolls, large orders and packed goods are received, assigned and shipped every day to meet the demands of a truly global client base: the warehouse is also the stockholding resource to support the cut length department.
Sample Department The sampling team is responsible for the continual despatch of pattern books and waterfalls. Here, the familiar Prestigious Textiles branding is never far away, with the sample department also taking care of all point-of-sale support and merchandising materials in addition to providing the cuttings service for both fabrics and wall coverings.
Wallcovering and curtain pole division The most recent addition to the suite of departments at Prestigious headquarters houses the expanding wall coverings and curtain poles division. Exclusive Prestigious wall coverings in consignments ranging from single rolls to full cartons, together with the stylish new range of metal curtain poles, are despatched daily to retailers both across the UK and around the world.
Administration This bustling suite of offices is the administrative nerve-centre of the global Prestigious Textiles network. In addition to the accounts department, the offices are home to specialist teams dedicated to dealing with customer and consumer enquiries, marketing and promotional strategy, sales orders and fabric buying.
External Factories The external sites hold and facilitate the vast array of pt products, from textiles to wall coverings and curtain pole stocks.
