The function of operations are similar in most systems used today, these systems are designed and controlled by different regulations and law legislation. Systems can be categorised based on fire extinguishe mediums, or principle of fire suspension. Advantage of fixed systems are immediate actions without human intervention or used in cases where human action is difficult or impossible. Safe and stabile systems are integrated from the project design which is calculated in accordance with law and safety regulations guidelines, build with high quality equipment with all required certificates, solid implementation and regular service and maintenance as prescribed by producer.

Stabilni sustavi zauzimaju danas sve veći udio u aktivnoj zaštiti od požara, a posebno sustavi koji pored dojave požara automatski uključuju i gašenje. Ugrađuju se u javne i industrijske objekte, plovne objekte i vozila. Princip rada se zasniva na dojavi požara, koja aktivira sredstvo za gašenje, koje se cjevovodima i mlaznicama dovodi do štićenih prostora ili objekata. Iako svi stabilni automatski sustavi rade na ovom jednostavnom principu, danas postoji čitav niz različitih sustava, kao posebno područje tehnike pokriveno strogim propisima i zahtjevima kvalitete. Osnovna podjela slijedi prema vrstama sredstva za gašenje, te prema načinu rada. The Central control unit INTAL communicates with all types of Apollo XP95 fire detectors and compatible line equipment. Each signal differing from the normal condition initiates an adequate action - the activation of sirens, relay outputs, extinguishing subsystems. Each event in the system is displayed, memorized, and can also be printed.

In wet systems, water under pressure is constantly present in the pipes, which is suitable for heated or warm areas. Dry systems, used in cold areas, have compressed air in the pipes. After the nozzle starts the system, pressure in the pipes reduces and activates the pressure switch, which then opens the sprinkler valve (dry or wet) and releases water. The bladder tank with the proportioner is the same as a tank for foam and a proportioner where a separate foam pump is not needed. Inside the tank, there is a bladder filled with the foam concentrate. Through the bladder, a pipe with holes is fitted, and the pipe is on the top of the tank, connected to the pipeline which leads to the proportioner. After activation, water flows into the proportioner and into the tank, filling the space between the tank wall and the bladder. Water applies pressure on the bladder and squeezes foam through the pipe with holes to the proportioner. Working pressure is 12 bar and, for USA standards, 12.7 bar. From the proportioner, the mixture (of water and foam) flows through the pipeline to the nozzles. At the same time, the tank functions as a proportioner. Starting of the system is manual or by a drencher valve, i.e. by the fire protection central unit.

The system is started pneumatically by two pilot cylinders that are placed in cabinets. The first one is the start cylinder or the cylinder bank, and the second one opens the valve of the protection zone. On land installations, the activation can be done automatically, by the fire protection alarm system with two-zone activation. The first detector starts the prealarm and second detector starts the main control unit for extinguishing. In case of automatic activation, zone valves are electrically or pneumatically driven. The system can be started manually, by the pull station, or mechanically, by opening of the zone valve and activation of the CO2 battery.

The low pressure CO2 systems can be executed in land or marine installations. The main characteristic of the low pressure system is the big storage capacity for carbon dioxide, which allows total protection of high volume spaces. It can protect several zones of protection, and it is started automatically, semi-automatically or manually. The container is heat protected and a part of the system is the cooler system which maintains pressure and temperature at the same level. Pastor Inženjering designs and builds systems according to specific requirements of each protected space or object. So far, we have built systems of up to 40,000 kg of carbon dioxide in one container; options are to join more containers into a single system. In land installations, the system can be installed as self standing. It can be delivered in a container or fitted in a mounting house. Ugrađuju se u javne i industrijske objekte, plovne objekte i vozila. Princip rada se zasniva na dojavi požara, koja aktivira sredstvo za gašenje, koje se cjevovodima i mlaznicama dovodi do štićenih prostora ili objekata. Iako svi stabilni automatski sustavi rade na ovom jednostavnom principu, danas postoji čitav niz različitih sustava, kao posebno područje tehnike pokriveno strogim propisima i zahtjevima kvalitete. Osnovna podjela slijedi prema vrstama sredstva za gašenje, te prema načinu rada. Osnovna vrijednost i prednost ovakovih sustava je što djeluju odmah, bez ljudskog faktora, te također i na mjestima gdje bi ljudska intervencija bila otežana ili čak nemoguća. Vatrodojavna centrala za gašenje upravlja radom sustava. U zoni gašenja su po dvije automatske zone do-jave sa optičko dimnim javljačima požara, posebno u prostoru, a posebno u duplom podu/stropu. Signalizacija u štićenom prostoru omogu-ćava prisutnim ljudima da se evakuiraju, a s vanjske strane ukazuje da će doći do gašenja. Sustav se može aktivirati i pomoću ručnog tipkala za aktiviranje gašenja, montiranog ispred ulaznih vrata u štićeni prostor. Programirano kašnjenje iznosi 20 sekundi. Nakon potvrde drugog alarma isključuje se ventilacija, a prije ispu-cavanja FM200 sustava. Stanje sa sustava za gašenje prosljeđuje se na glavni vatrodojavni sustav objekta.

The fire extinguisher panel manages system operation. When both zones of detection are under alarm, the valve on the cylinders is activated (after the programmable time delay expires). The complete gas quantity is discharged in ten seconds.
