Will big jewellery be popular? What sort of shoes will teenagers wear? A good way to predict future fashion is to watch fashion shows from around the world or to buy popular fashion magazines. But another way to find out is to visit Shoreditch in the East End of London. In the past, Shoreditch used to be a very dangerous place, but today it is one of the trendiest areas in London. The area fills 13 streets and has got over 6,000 designers and artists. Japanese designer Yohju Yamamoto visited Shoreditch for a week, fell in love with the place and has now got his own fashion house there. He is one of many designers with similar stories. Although consumers can’t say for sure what the next fashion trend will be, it is likely to be close to what you see in Shoreditch.
