PARÁMETROS GEOMORFOLÓGICOS DE LA CUENCA SUCSE INTRODUCCIÓN

La determinación de los parámetros geomorfológicos de una cuenca es una es hoy en día una de las prioridades en el manejo de recursos hídricos, ya que permite entender a una cuenca y sus subdivisiones como un geosistema que presenta como principal entrada la lluvia, y como salidas el caudal, la evapotranspiración, el flujo subsuperficial y la percolación. Las tres últimas son salidas que tienen poco valor en el marco de una creciente súbita, pero son importantes en relación al flujo base y en la consideración de modelos de simulación continua, así como en la condición antecedente del suelo en lluvias prolongadas, especialmente de regiones húmedas. Pero sin embargo en llanuras de muy bajas pendientes las cuencas no están definidas por límites topográficos y no son significativos los movimientos del flujo superficial. Por lo que, resultan trascendentes los movimientos verticales de infiltración, percolación y evapotranspiración. En el presente trabajo realizaremos la caracterización geomorfológica de la cuenca Sucse con el objeto de conocer la importancia de los parámetros geomorfológicos y la interrelación entre ellos.

OBJETIVO GENERAL Determinar los parámetros geomorfológicos de la cuenca Sucse. OBJETIVOS ESPECÍFICOS     

Delimitar la cuenca Sucse Determinar los parámetros de forma. Hallar el orden de la red de drenaje y determinar los parámetros de la red hídrica de la cuenca. Determinar los parámetros de relieve de la cuenca. Interpretar los resultados calculados y su influencia en la cuenca.

UBICACIÓN La cuenca Sucse se ubica en la región de Cajamarca, entre las provincias de Chota y Cutervo.

Cuenca Sucse

DESCRIPCIÓN Es una cuenca Rectangular con un extremo Sur alargado, presenta un drenaje dendrítico. El cauce principal lo forma el Río Sucse, efluente del Río Llaucano.

METODOLOGÍA Para la realización de este trabajo se utilizó el Software ArcGis, como Software de modelamiento en el cual se realizó la digitalización de la cuenca y de sus principales componentes. Los datos obtenidos en el Software ArcGis fueron procesados en una hoja Exel para la obtención de cálculos requeridos.

Para la obtención de este parámetro se utilizó dos métodos, en primo consiste en utilizar la siguiente fórmula: ∑ Dónde: : Pendiente de la Cuenca C: Equidistancia entre curvas de nivel A: Área de la cuenca : Longitud de cada curva de nivel Para lo cual se utilizó curvas de nivel con equidistancia de 100 metros. El índice de compacidad obtenido permite clasificar a la cuenca Sucse como una cuenca de Clase II, val-oblonga a rectangular-oblonga, como se muestra en el siguiente cuadro, esto nos indica que el tiempo de concentración de escorrentía será largo con recesiones prolongadas y gastos picos atenuados.

El factor forma es relativamente bajo, lo que nos permite decir que la tendencia de la cuenca hacia las crecidas es lenta y sostenida. En los parámetros de relieve se puede apreciar que el rango de altitudes es relativamente amplio va desde 900 a 3780 msnm, con una altitud media de 2531.90 msnm que difiere de la altitud del centroide que es de 2648.97 msnm, dado la irregularidad geométrica de la cuenca. El polígono de frecuencia de áreas nos muestra que la altitud más frecuente está alrededor de 2550 msnm. La pendiente media de la cuenca permite clasificarlo como una cuenca de relieve tipo fuerte (P5) lo que indica que el tiempo de concentración en las máximas crecidas y en el potencial de degradación de la cuenca, serán de moderados a altos.

PARÁMETROS GEOMORFOLÓGICOS DE LA CUENCA SUCSE

La curva hipsográfica nos muestra que el punto de intersección entre las curvas por encima y por debajo es a una altitud de 2375 msnm a partir del cual la cuenca varía por encima de este valor predomina la acción erosiva y por debajo la acción de sedimentación. Esto está relacionado con la pendiente del cauce principal.
