ASHRAY STHAL (ORPHANAGE VILLAGE) Introduction

 The concept work on providing the environment in which orphaned children can enjoy living conditions that are as close as possible to those of normal family life.  Architecture is at it’s highest form of accomplishment when it can shelter humans in a way that is sensitive to their culture, their community and their surroundings.  Here the design fosters the integration of the children with an exceptional environment, and the village feels as if it is owned and run by them.  This gives them security and happiness, which is in turn reected in the large measure of civility, discipline and good manners. 







 !n addition to the education given by the state schools, in the village itself the children get a training in various crafts" wood work, metal work, mechanics, sewing, or arts, such as photography, or in farming and cattle rearing # which called for the building of the farm. !t is uni$ue in core for orphnas replacing traditional impersonal institutional orphanages, by a personalised domestic family life. •

 The design of Ashray involves the responsibility of an architect to melange architecture with sophisticated elements of technical know how and to make the space follow certain order to satisfying purpose go in marking of an ideally designers village which caters to the needs of orphanages.

OBJECTIVES  %roviding a friendly, intimate environment ful&lling functional re$uirements. 'eviving traditional architecture of the site proposed through a distinctly modern interpretation. Achieving all above in the most economical and environmentally conscious way. !t is to be emphasi(ed for low cost housing.  The village is aimed to provide care and education for orphans in a family atmosphere, in their religion and culture, and in a spirit of tolerance and respect for the religious beliefs and culture of others.  The objective of the project is to re)create the conditions of family life for orphans or for children deprived of parental care.  
