Windows XP and Windows 7 are both supported starting with this version. SiteManager 3.11a is a 32-bit application. Therefore Windows 7 (64-bit) requires the 32-bit version of Oracle Client and configuration with the 32-bit version of the ODBC Data Source Administrator. TDOT does not manage non-TDOT computers and does not have sufficient security rights to administer shared software like Oracle on non-TDOT computers. However, because Oracle 9i or 10g is required to run SiteManager, we have provided a convenient link to download the Oracle 10g install program and this guide for configuring Oracle to work with SiteManager. Note: Oracle 10g and Oracle 10.2.0.1.0 are two names for the same software and are used interchangeably. SiteManager setup guides are located on the TDOT Construction SiteManager website: http://www.tdot.state.tn.us/construction/SiteManager.htm

1. Follow the Oracle 10g Client Install directions on page 2. 2. Setup Oracle for SiteManager using the directions on page 19 3. Configure ODBC using the instructions that match your operating system on page 20 or page 23 4. If you will use VPN to connect to TDOT, test your connection using the instructions on page 28

ODBC Configuration for Windows 7 (64-bit) SiteManager Client 3.11a requires that a 32-bit version of Oracle Client (10g is recommended) must be installed on the Windows 7 (64-bit). Windows 7 (64-bit) comes with both the 32-bit and 64-bit ODBC Administrator. The ODBC connection for the SiteManager Client must be configured in the 32-bit ODBC Administrator. This section of the installation guide will walk you through how to setup the ODBC connection in the 32-bit ODBC Administrator for New SiteManager Client installs. 1.
