The campus for the O.P. Jindal Global University is planned in an entirely flat agricultural land, 10 km away from the city of Sonepat
ABOUT THE PROJECT •
•
As a Greenfield project with no built context, the design started on a very rigorous geometrical framework of traces regulaters of squares and golden rectangles, dear to European architecture as well as Indian architecture The project is designed like a vast classical garden where the nature has been tamed by the rule of geometry.

These houses showcase exposed brick architecture in the exterior. Compiles together 3 bedrooms duplex with double height dining hall,2 bedroom duplex and single bedroom flat. Apartments get 50% to 100% of their areas as garden or terrace garden.

FACULTY HOUSING DESIGN ELEMENTS •

The whole exterior façade of faculty housing blocks are done with exposed brick work. It is adding a visual interest as well as an appealing texture to the wall. The green lawn along with the brick texture is visually appealing. The balconies were opening directly towards the greenscape is providing a flexible transition between indoor and outdoor, public and private

Oblique approach towards the entrance enhancing the perspective of the entrance and front facade. Sunshades were present to avoid the direct sunlight to enter inside the room Brick jali were used.

Personal balcony were given to individual flats. hese exposed brick buildings compile together the experiments of typologies of 3 bedrooms duplex with double height loggia, 2 bedrooms duplex and single bedroom flats. Apartments get 50% to 100% of their areas as garden or terrace

The University Hall of Residence for students consists of several blocks of building designed by a French architect. There are corridors, open spaces and common rooms within each block. There are separate blocks for male and female students. The accommodation for students in these blocks follows international norms and the rooms are well furnished as per the requirements.

The blocks of student hostel both boys and girl were precast designed structures.
Exposed concrete façade. Optimum spaces were provided inside the room of students In boys hostel each room has accommodation of 3 student with one shower and one toilet

Generally they have bunk beds below which their study table and wardrobe was attached Long spacious corridors. Green lawns outside each building Microclimate around the structure was good.
COMMON ROOMS •
The student’s common rooms are
located in both boys as well as girls hostels. •
There are indoor sports facilities such as Snooker table, Pool table, Table Tennis and many other board games.

The common rooms are equipped with large state-ofthe-art projection screens for playing movies, television shows, presentations, music, etc.

BADMINTON COURTS-Two indoor badminton courts supported. TABLE TENNIS BASKETBALL COURTS -Two attractive synthetic basketball courts CRICKET GROUND AND PRACTICE PITCHES TENNIS COURTS FOOTBALL VOLLEYBALL COURTS (Location: Near Helipad and Boys Hostel). GYMNASIUM, YOGA & AEROBICS (Location: Behind Academic Block) RECREATION AND FITNESS CENTRE (Location: Men's Hostel, 2nd Floor) -A unique and dynamic recreation and fitness centre at SH-1 block comprising of American Pool Table, German T.T. Table and modern fitness machines.

The mess was inside the main academic building. Besides that Juice Tuck Shop and Nestle Tuck Shop was there Food Village
The Food Village is situated near the SH-3 block of University Halls of Residence. F&B such as Amul Ice cream Parlour, Bru Café, Gulab restaurant.
INFERENCES •
•
The housing were well designed both exteriorly and interiorly. Exposed brick and concrete work were giving a rough as well as visually appealing texture to the structures.

Sunshades were provided to avoid direct sunlight.
•
Pargolas were used as a design element.
•
Visual connectivity was there between the structures.
•
•
Student housing was not very spacious only optimum space was provided
Housing were mainly seemed to be for HIG.
