1.1

Abstract

This project study and development of Online Bus Ticket Reservation System web portal to enable both bus operator and customer to make online bus ticket sale, purchase and act as an operation tool for bus operators to operate their organization effectively. This is a prepaid system where agents are authorized to sale ticket of any bus. Allows agent to purchase bulk ticket well in advance and then sale them to customer. Administrator here is divided into two parts one is super administrator and second is administrator. Super administrator will be tracking over the work of administrator and will handle query which are not authorized to administrator. Administrator will be handling all the work related to portal and chat with users, agents and travel agencies.

Objective

The objective of this project work is • To manage the user information, travels information, agent information and buses information. • To provide a single workplace for all the agents. • To generate reports like income report, expenses report, bus report etc. for strategic decision. • To provide information of bad users to administrator. Introduction

In bus ticketing system there has been a collection of buses, agent who are booking tickets for customer’s journey which give bus number and departure time of the bus. According to its name system manages the details of all agent, tickets, rental details, and timing details and so on. It also manages the updating of the objects. In this travel agency will be able to handle all information of their own buses and customer. Agencies will be able to track the buses, their fuel and their current arrival and departure time from the station Agent is able to login and can view all present availability of the ticket for buses. Ticket will be purchased in bulk by the agent. he can increase the price of ticket to a authorized limit. Increased price will be shown in his own portal will not affect the others price. Agent will be able to solve his query by chat or by call. Administrator is divided into two category super administrator and administrator. Super administrator will keep eye on working of administrator and their queries. Administrator will be able to perform all the operation on user data, travels data, agent data and bus data. Administrator can solve the problem faced by the travels, agent and user by chat or by call. An administrator provides and handles all security issue related to portal.

Technical Details

The basic idea about this project is providing way to user’s, agent’s and travel agencies to book and provide ticket. Agent purchase ticket in bulk by paying to administrator. Administrator distributes the money among the administrator, travel agencies and agent who involved in that booking. There can be users who rates low to their competitors always, so administrator has to find such users and block their feedbacks.

Modules: • Web based interface for agent: This interface will show all information about the agent and provides the search option for the buses. Agent can view his own profile in this interface. • Web based interface for the Super Administrator: This interface will provide way to Super Administrator for performing any operation on required data. Also will be able to see administrators information. • Web Based interface for administrator: This interface will provide way to administrator to see all the information about the buses, agents, travel agencies and user. using this interface administrator will be able to perform all the operation over the authorized data. • Providing Chat panel for agent and administrator: This panel will enable the agent and administrator to have chat to each other and solve their queries.
