“IMPORTANCE OF KEEPING GOD’S WORDS” The KJV is based on the true manuscripts. The Masoretic text of the Hebrew s, for the Old Testament and the Greek text used by the Christians at Anti och for the New Testament. The fathers of the NIV, Westcott and Hort (of t he Ghostly Guild), created a Greek text, that has been the basis for numer ous modern alternatives to the Bible. The NET Bible is one of such, used i n some Christian seminaries, as well as the New World Translation used by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (Jehovah’s Witnesses). The list con tinues. Many of the same omissions contained in the NIV, are also containe d in these versions. The ESV has omissions too, but not quite as numerous as the NIV. Roman Catholic Bibles tend to contain the apocrypha. Many bibl e-believing Christians did not find them to be authoritative, as their con tents would contradict the words of God. God will never contradict His wor ds. The early church was having trouble with some Gnostic groups and other unbiblical errors from people who were attempting to bring in counterfeit gospels, in order to distort the message of God. The cults of Christianity have one thing in agreement, they do not take all the words of God in the Bible as the final authority. God has told us, even in the Old Testament, that we are not to add or subtract from His words. His words will endure forever and God will never contradict His own words. God holds us accountable for following the Truth. Our souls and the souls of oth ers do depend on the Truth of the gospel message. If we find out we are atte nding a church which is distorting the Truth of God‘s words, then it is our responsibility to leave that church. We need to read the Bible for ourselves , so that we will be able to recognize when something is a deception of that Truth. If we compromise on the life-saving words of God, then we are compromisin g on the souls of men. There are many false protestant churches as well w ith ecumenical movements which would compromise on God’s truth. Today in numerous churches and in seminaries, people have been using false Bibles. The NKJV, upon further investigation, changes more than the “thous” and “shalls.” What is supposed to be accomplished by the NKJV, is actually ac complished by the American King James Version. This may not be important information to some people, however, Zondervan publishers are owned by Ha rper Collins, who also publishes the Satanic Bible and the Joy of Gay Sex . If you have a TNIV Bible, you may already know about the issue of gende r-neutrality. Unfortunately, this has been going on for many years now, and will more than likely continue to go on as long as people don't inves tigate the Scriptures for themselves.
If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? - Psalm 11:3 http://www.libertybaptistchurch.org.au/bookstore/NIVOmissions.pdf ____________________________________________________________ “IMPORTANCE OF GOD’S WORDS, ACCORDING TO GOD’S WORDS ” [A] You shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall you diminish [ought] from it, that you may keep the commandments of t he LORD your God which I command you. (Deuteronomy 4:2) [B] Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105) [C] Every word of God [is] pure: He [is] a shield unto them that put their t rust in Him. Add you not to His words, lest He reprove you, and you be found a liar. (Proverbs 30:5-6) [D] The words of the LORD [are] pure words: [as] silver tried in a furnace o f earth, purified seven times. (Psalms 12:6) [E] What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it. (Deuteronomy 12:32) [F] But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1: 8) [G] But He answered and said, It is written, man shall not live by bread al one, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4) [H] Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, If you continue i n My word, then are you My disciples indeed; And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:31-32) [I] The man that wanders out of the way of understanding shall remain in th e congregation of the dead. (Proverbs 21:16) [J] And these things, brothers, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that you might learn in us not to think of men abo ve that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against ano ther. (1 Corinthians 4:6) [K] Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: bu t holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:20 -21) [L] He is in the way of life that keeps instruction: but he that refuses reproo f errs. (Proverbs 10:17) [M] He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him:
the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge Him in the last day. (Jo hn 12:48) [N] Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father a nd the Son. (2 John 1:9) [O] If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of go od doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. (1 Timothy 4:6) [P] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctr ine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good works. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) [Q] Sanctify them through your truth: your word is truth. (John 17:17) [R] Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ . For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. (Colossians 2:89) [S] Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away. ( Matthew 24:35) ______________________________________________________ For Christians, the authority is the Word of God. The Roman Catholic Church (RCC) does not accept the Word of God as the final authority over their ch urch. Tradition, along with the pronouncements of popes and councils is con sidered more authoritative. There are many points in which the tradition of the Catholic church is not in agreement with the Bible. Here is what God h as to say on the subject: The words of God are the final authority above all God‘s creation (Psalm 1 38:2, Psalms 12:6-7, 1 Peter 1:23&25, Psalms 119:89, Isaiah 40:8, Matthew 24:35, Matthew 5:18, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:33, Psalm 119:160). This is not a denominational statement, it is a doctrinal statement for all those who c laim to be true Christians (2 Timothy 3:16-17). God is Sovereign and His words are always True (John 17:17, Psalms 12:6, 2 Samuel 22:31). The Bible tells us that God is not a liar (Titus 1:2, Hebrew s 6:18, Romans 3:4). We know this is true, because God is the Source of Tru th (John 14:17), and He cannot be contrary to His own nature (Psalms 31:5, Isaiah 65:16). The Bible tells us that God is unchanging (Zephaniah 3:5, 1 Peter 1:23, Daniel 6:26). Man does not live by bread alone but by every word which proceeds out of
the mouth of God (Deuteronomy 8:3, Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:4). God will nev er contradict His words and He has told us in the Old and the New Testam ent, not to add or take away from His words (Deuteronomy 12:32, Deuteron omy 4:2, Proverbs 30:5-6, Revelation 22:18-19, Jeremiah 26:2). The Bible says, the Truth will set us free (John 17:17, John 8:31-32, Ephes ians 1:13). Lies and deception keep us under spiritual bondage (Proverbs 21 :16, Proverbs 10:17). The Bible tells us to warn each other about error, an d God has given us the Truth to keep us on the right path (Psalms 119:105, Proverbs 6:23, Mark 12:24, Matthew 22:29, 1 Timothy 4:16, Titus 1:9, Titus 2:1). God holds us accountable for following the Truth (John 12:48, Acts 17 :30, 2 Timothy 2:15). God tells us not to follow those who do not teach the Truth and follow to His words (2 John 1:9-10, Jude 1:17, Luke 6:39, Colossians 2:8-9, Galatian s 1:8, 1 Timothy 1:3, 1 Timothy 6:3-5). God was displeased with the religi ous elite in the Old and the New Testament, for these leaders chose to put their teachings above the Words of God; they chose to cancel out God’s wo rds in favor of their own teachings (Matthew 15:1-9; Mark 7:6-13, Colossia ns 2:8, Jeremiah 13:10, Jeremiah 23:36, Psalm 107:11). God says His people perish for a lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). God is pleased with those who love His words (Jeremiah 15:16, Psalm 119:16). If we find that our thinking does not line up with Scripture, then we must change our thinking. If we are attending any church which does not follow t he teachings of Scripture, then we should consider attending one that is tr uly submitting to the Lord and pleasing Him with their obedience to His ins tructions. (1 Samuel 12:24, Joshua 24:14, John 4:24). Those who love the tr uth, love God. Those who deny the Truth, deny God. For God is the Truth.
