No Boundaries What would happen if a prince helplessly fell in love with a famous idol? What would happen if the idol seemed to hate the prince so much? Could they be together and live happily ever after like in many sweet tales?
1: Homecoming Unwelcoming “I’m going home today. Please don’t exaggerate with the guards, I’m fine with the public transports to go there.” A pause. “She left me this email last night. Judging by the time she should be landed in 3 hours, Your Majesty.” “Have you checked which airline she boarded?” “Yes, Your Majesty.” “Have you secured the airport?” “Yes, I’ve released the usual protocol for her.” A sigh. “Stay close to her movement, I don’t want something happen to your sister.” “Yes, Your Highness.” A bow then the tall woman left the big hall. As soon as she outside, she took out her cell phone. “Don’t let the press got a sniff about this and please take my sister home safely.” She commanded. In exact three hours later, the airport announced that a flight from London had just landed. All men in black suit were exchanging message to get ready for the arrival. “We still do not have her position, Your Highness.” A man spoke. “Her phone is still turned off.” “How about the field guards? Have they got a view of my sister?” “Negative, Your Highness.” “I need you to widely open your eyes to see your surroundings and get a simple view of my sister. Keep trying tracing her phone and location.” “Yes, Your Highness.”
45 minutes later, there still no progress on the hunt. The woman massaged her temple, getting impatient with all of that. “Where in the world this kid is?” She kept massaging her temple and monitored the CCTV videos on screen at the same time. “Secure the perimeter and get the chopper ready. I give you 15 minutes to search the entire terminal before I personally go there.” “But Your Highness…” “15 minutes from now. You don’t want my mother plus my wife scold the squad just because I’ll be there, do you?” “Y-yes, Your Highness.” The woman excited the room with crumpled face. She was worried, pressured, and yet happy because her sister would be home soon enough. She missed her so much. “This kid…” She mumbled. “Who is this kid?” A voice sounded behind her. The woman turned her body to find her sister standing in front of the door. “Y-you’re here?” “Good morning, Your Highness Prince Yuri.” The sister gave a bow acknowledging the other woman. “YAH!” Instead of a hug, Prince Yuri knocked on her sister’s forehead. “Don’t you know the entire palace went crazy because of you?! Don’t ever pull that kind of stunt again!” “I know I know I’m sorry. Where’s Umma and my sister in law?” “The Queen is resting and your sister in law is attending a charity event. Anyway, I’m glad that you’re here, Taeyeon-ah.” Yuri hugged her sister. “Taeyeon-Unnie.” The sister intentionally emphasized the last word. “Tsk. Don’t ruin the moment.”
Taeyeon chuckled. “Fine. See, I told you I’d be fine exposed in the public. They won’t recognize me.” “Still, a protocol is still a protocol that you should follow, Taeyeon-Unnie.” Yuri exhaled. “Now excuse me, I need to dismiss the guards. I’ll see you at the Queen’s hall.” Kim Taeyeon, 25 years old, had just finished her studies in London. She once held the Crown Prince title before she happily gave it up to her half sister Kwon Yuri. She preferred to have a life as a normal citizen and not bound to numbers of regulations. However, she was still a Prince to South Korea, although the people seemed forgotten about her existence because she spent most of her life abroad to pursue her dream to be a chef. But one day, she heard that her dear Mother was sick, so she decided to come back home. Kwon Yuri, 24 years old, the famous handsome Crown Prince of South Korea. Even though she had the same mother who gave birth to her, she had a different father from Taeyeon, which was why they had a different family name. She was not supposed to be the Crown Prince and she was very aware of it, but her half sister offered the title, because she wanted to live freely without the ground rules and be herself. Yuri almost rejected the suggestion, but she realized if she didn’t take it, then their country would come to an end. “The Crown Prince and Prince Taeyeon have arrived.” A guard outside the Queen’s palace shouted. Taeyeon and Yuri went inside the building. They quickly bowed. “Your Majesty.” Yuri greeted as she gave big bow to the Queen, followed by her half-sister. “Umma!” Taeyeon said once she rose from bowing. “I missed you.” She hugged the Queen. “I heard that you’re not well, so I decided to come home.” “I’m fine.” The Queen smiled and held her daughter by the cheeks, observing the changes. “You become more beautiful, my dear. How is London? I’m sorry I rarely go there to see you.” “It’s okay Umma. What important now is you have to get well soon and me and Yuri will take care of you. Right, Yuri-ah?”
The Crown Prince agreed with the statement. “Don’t worry about me, Taeyeon-ah. You should get some rest first, I know the jetlag will be hard to handle. Go to your place, I’ll be here all day, resting.” “But I sti—“ The Queen quickly interjected. “No. Go to your place and get adjusted with our time first, then we’ll talk about anything else.” “Yes, Umma.” “And Crown Prince Yuri…?” “Yes, Your Majesty?” “Do we still need to go to the charity event?” “No Your Majesty, Princess Sooyeon had got it covered.” The Queen smiled. “I’m so thankful you chose her to be your wife.” Yuri grinned. --Taeyeon was left alone in Yuri’s palace since her own was still not ready to move in. Her sister was gone to attend some meetings related to the nation’s issues. Since she didn’t have much thing to do plus she couldn’t fall asleep, the short prince decided to turn the TV on. The petite young lady settled to a music program. She sometimes moved her head or feet to the beat, enjoying the song. Idols after idols appeared then her eyes stuck to one singer. The singer sang a ballad song with her soft voice, flowing the story so smoothly through the melodies. She often smiled to the camera or the audiences, showing two beautiful crescent moons that could strike any heart that saw it, including a certain prince in front of the TV.
“Close your mouth before you stain my carpet.” Taeyeon quickly did so and stood up from her seat. “Taengoo!” “Princess Sooyeon! What a pleasure meeting you in my room!” Taeyeon bowed. “It’s Crown Princess Sooyeon and as far as I remember this is my house.” The princess quickly hugged the latter. “Wow, you’re still short.” Princess Jung Sooyeon, 25 years old, married to the Crown Prince. She used to abuse Yuri and bullied her when they were kids, but then slowly she fell in love with the tanned woman as they grew up. Taeyeon, Yuri, and herself were three best friends since babies. Jessica’s family was also part of the royal family although they were not directly the descended. Sooyeon or Jessica, she chose the English name because she didn’t really like her name, was known for her icy attitude. She loved to order people around, but thanks to the handsome prince, the bossy manner was toned down a couple notches. Taeyeon sulked, instantly released herself from the hug. “Still love to tease me, I see. You’re not tall either, Sica.” “At least I’m taller than you.” “Stop with the height insult please. I just came back from London not to hear any of your affront, Your Highness.” Jessica laughed. “Sorry. How are you? Finally be a chef?” Taeyeon smiled. “I’m fine, thanks. Degree wise I am a chef, but job experience wise… not yet. I was about to open a small café in London when I heard Umma is sick. So… yeah… Here I am.” Jessica seemed to understand her situation. Didn’t want the mood turned to be somber, she asked another question, “So I’ve been told that you might stay here until your palace is finished?”
Taeyeon nodded. “Hope you don’t mind. Since your dear Hwangtaeja* already approved the notion.” Jessica shrugged. “As long as you help cleaning and cooking, I’m fine.” “And here I thought I would be treated as a prince.” Jessica chuckled again. “Well, I need to hit the shower before the dinner. I’ll leave you with the idols. Have fun.” “Alright.” Taeyeon went back to the TV but the singer already replaced with other performer. She let out a disappointed sigh. --“Have you gotten any sleep, Taeyeon-ah?” The Queen asked in the middle of supper. It was only the four of them having the dinner. “Not really, Umma. I couldn’t sleep, but I rested well enough. I’ll try to get some sleep later.” “Good. Because you’ll need a lot of energy tomorrow.” “For…?” Yuri cleared her throat. “Umma wants to announce your present and throw the homecoming celebration, right Your Majesty?” “Correct.” Taeyeon quickly wiped her mouth. “But I don’t want to be announced. Can you cancel everything?” Yuri spoke again. “Well tough. I can’t. Please don’t act like a kid, we need to do this, Taeyeon. You are the country’s prince, they need to know that they have you.”
“If I may add, just count this as our expression of joy and love for having you here with us. And it would be a perfect example for the society. Us as one happy family.” Jessica added. “But they have you already, I don’t think the people need another royal family member to be publicly displayed.” The Queen cleared her throat. “What Yuri and Sooyeon said were right, Taeyeon. I don’t want any more discussion on this because this is fixed. You understand?” “Yes, Umma.” --“The Palace announced the come back of Prince Kim Taeyeon…” A woman increased her TV’s volume to get the news. “Good Morning people of South Korea, my name is Kim Taeyeon, maybe many of you had already forgotten about me and questioned where did I go for the past years. I was finishing my studies in The United Kingdom. But, I went back here, in South Korea, because I wanted to serve my Queen and especially my country and my people. I hope we can all work together in harmony. Thank you.” The prince bowed and the crowd cheered and chanted her name. “Whoaaaaa, Prince Taeyeon has gotten much more handsome than before.” A scoff. “What’s with the scoff?” “I met her yesterday. She knocked me down at the airport without even apologize and walk away with her arrogance and then we met again and she took away my cab without a word. No wonder, just another spoiled rich kid.” “She’s not a spoiled rich kid, she’s the prince. Maybe she didn’t notice you yesterday? Or she was in a hurry? Or maybe the press went after her?”
“Whatever. Prince or not, in a rush or not, she was rude to me plus she made my elbow bruised. It was extra impolite of her. I hope she gets a karma.” “Stop hating her, Fany-ah!” “I was just saying, Soonkyu-yah. Now please get my hair done, I need to go to my schedule early.” There was Tiffany Hwang, a Korean-American singer that was currently very famous in the country not just because of her stunning voice, but also because of her gorgeousness. She was also known as the eye smiling princess of the nation, her eyes will formed two beautiful crescent moons if she was smiling. She was still in her twenties, 24 years old to be exact, still single although there were a lot of equally handsome candidates to her exquisiteness who was chasing and begging for love. But surprisingly she turned down every one of them with the reason of not feeling the chemistry after the third date. Although she was kind almost to everyone, she has a tiny issue with condescending individuals. An easy example would be her point of view of the long lost Prince that just came back. --*황태자 (hwangtaeja) : Crown Prince
2 : Wrong Hand “That wasn’t so bad, was it?” Yuri asked. “What? Being exhibited in front of the entire nation or getting flashed by a million cameras in a day? I’m still seeing spots.” Taeyeon rubbed her eyes. Yuri laughed. “Both?” “Yah! Don’t do that!” Jessica slapped Taeyeon’s hands, which were rubbing the eyes. “That would make it worse. Go find some eye drop or wash your face.” She scolded. “Yes, Your Highness.” “And while you’re at it, please tell someone to get our dinner ready.” Yuri looked at her wife, surprised. “Baby… She’s still the Prince, you shouldn’t order her like that.” The princess shrugged before fitting her back close to her husband’s arms. “But I’m married to the Crown Prince, I have the ability to do that.” Jessica grinned and pecked the latter’s lips. Five minutes later, a fresh Prince Taeyeon re-appeared at the living room of Kwon’s Palace with a basket of fruits in her hold. “Already told the cooks to fix us the dinner, but it might take a while, so I stole this from the kitchen, Your Highness Princess Sooyeon.” She bowed and served the fruits on the table. “Seobang?” Jessica called. “Hmm?” “If I’m not mistaken we do need another helper. Don’t you think Taeyeon will match the profile?”
“Be thankful that you are my sister’s wife, Sica.” The three then enjoying the fruits and engrossed with whatever played on TV, until the short prince loudly gasped. “This singer! Do you guys know her name?” She pointed the TV. “The name is Tiffany Hwang. She came from California to be a singer here. She’s 24, still single, and she’s a very nice person.” Jessica stated, she left the two princes’ jaw dropped. “Baby? How did you know all of that?” “Y-yeah. How did you…?” “I met her a few times for several events plus there’s an amazing thing called Google. Why? You like her, Taengoo?” Jessica squinted her eyes and smiled in playful manner. Taeyeon’s cheeks were flushed. “I… Uhh… I saw her yesterday and I was just curious.” “I see. I can arrange a meeting for you two if you want.” Taeyeon was actually temped with the offer because she liked the singer from the moment she saw her on TV yesterday, but she was too shy to meet her in person for real. “Ah… no… I’m good.” “Okay.” Jessica said. “Anywaaaayy…” This time The Crown Prince who was spoken. “You have a schedule tomorrow. First charity event to attend, it’s not formal, I think you can wear jeans. Wow I feel like an artist’s manager.” Taeyeon slumped on her seat, showing her disinterest. “What is it about?” “Blood donation. You’ll be there to encourage people, specifically young people, to actively participate the red-cross.” Taeyeon grimaced. “Blood.”
“You’ll survive.” “Why don’t you and Sica attend that?” Yuri shook her head. “We can’t because we have an appointment with a doctor tomorrow.” “Why? Is one of you sick? Oh my God, did you two infect me with something? Should I go to the doctor too tomorrow? My blood won’t be good to be donated if I’m sick.” Princess Sooyeon rolled her eyes on the exaggeration. “We’ll be seeing a gynecologist to get me pregnant. You want to get pregnant too, Taengoo?” Jessica waited for Taeyeon’s answer that never came. “Thought so.” Yuri only laughed at the scene. “Just eat healthy food and get enough sleep tonight, Taeyeon-ah. Speaking of food, I think we should go to the dining hall, my tummy’s begging for meal.” --A white van passed Seoul’s main roads in the middle of the night with two women as the passengers. “Where is my schedule for tomorrow, Sunny-ah?” One with the jet-black hair asked. “Here.” A shorter woman handed her a piece of paper. Tiffany skimmed the columns and rows that are filled with the to-do list, the place, and the time, but two were outlined with different color. “What’s with these two?” Her manager slash assistant, Lee Sunny, who was also her best friend, cleared throat to explain. “So you see, the time of those two off-air events is the same. Here we have the power to choose one over the two since you can’t split into half and attend both. The choice is yours.” “Red Cross and orphanage. Hmm…” Tiffany started to think. “I assume the Red Cross is about blood donation and the orphanage…” She paused her brain just realized something. “Do I have to deal with babies and kids?” “Well, it’s an orphanage.”
“Then no. We’ll go to the red cross.” Tiffany didn’t like babies, toddlers, kids, you named it. She didn’t use to have kids around her, she would go awkward around them. Sunny suddenly smiled bright, knowing that her best friend would choose the blood donation rather than stuck with bunch of wailing babies. She clapped her hands in excitement. “Good. Then I’ll have the chance to see Prince Taeyeon in person!” Tiffany’s eyes widened. “That snotty Prince would be there?” Sunny nodded, smiling so widely. “Can I just stay at home after the music show?” “What? Why?” “I don’t feel like going.” “Because of Prince Taeyeon?” Tiffany slowly nodded. Sunny clicked her tongue and put on her serious face. “This is work, Fany-ah. You have to be professional. Since you don’t want to meet the Prince then I suggest we should play and have fun with babies.” “No no no no. No babies. Please. I’ll go to the Red Cross, but I don’t want to be near that snobbish Prince. Please Sunny-ah.” Sunny shrugged. “We’ll see.” --There were Yuri, Jessica, and The Queen, enjoying the tea near the Palace’s fishpond. Taeyeon already turned in for the night, her eyes were still blinded by the flash. “I heard that you made an appointment with dr. Han tomorrow, is that right?”
“Yes, Umma. We are trying to get you a grandchild.” Yuri said as she held her wife’s hand. “Both of you are still young, don’t be too rush, I’m not in a rush to have a grandchild. Your health is more important to me.” The Queen caringly stated. “But it’s your family, your decision. How long have you been married again? Pardon my old brain.” Jessica softly chuckled. “It’s fine, Omoni. We are going to have our first anniversary next month, right Seobang?” Yuri nodded. “I see. It seemed the right time for your plan.” The Queen sipped her tea. “Anyway, how was your sister doing today?” “She was great, handling the press so well. And she agreed to go to the blood donation tomorrow.” Yuri’s mother showed her satisfaction from the news. “Good, I hope she could help you later on, Yuri-ah.” “Yes, Umma.” “Well I think I should go to my room, it’s getting cold. Good night you two. Good luck tomorrow. Keep me posted, okay?” The couple agreed to the request and sent the mother back in her room before heading back to their room. “Seobang…” Jessica called, swinging their connected hands, walking to their place. “Yes baby?” “How many kids do you want?” “Hmm… two. How about you?” She glanced her wife. Hearing the same answer, Jessica excitedly said, “I want two too!”
“Hopefully we can get two beautiful babies.” Yuri tightened her hold. Jessica nodded. “Should we do it tonight?” Yuri stopped her track and tilted her head. “Do it? What’s it?” “Make babies, Seobang.” The Crown Prince’s cheeks were reddened. “Oh… that… Err… uptoyou.” Jessica giggled seeing her hubby getting shy. “You’re cute.” She tiptoed and kissed Yuri deeply. “I’ll see you in the bedroom.” She winked and left the Crown Prince dumbfounded. “Yah! Crown Princess Sooyeon, wait for me!” --Jessica was tidying Yuri shirt’s collar in the living room when Taeyeon appeared. “Oh my God, would you stop kissing in front of me?!” She covered her eyes when she saw the couple. “We are not kissing, my wife is fixing my collar.” Yuri said. “Now, I’m going to kiss her.” She pulled Sica’s chin up and gently kissed the lips. “Thank you baby.” “Ew. Too much cheese in the morning.” Taeyeon grimaced while the pair only laughed it off. “Are you going too?” Jessica checked her watch. “In a bit. I thought there’s something you want to say to her, Seobang.” “Oh, yeah.” Yuri went outside and went back with a taller woman wearing a full black suit, hair tied up, complete with telecommunication device dangling on her ear. “This is Choi Sooyoung, she will be working with you as your practically everything, your personal assistant, stylist, guard, driver, even chef, so be good to her.” The woman named Choi Sooyoung bowed. “It’s an honor to serve you, Prince Taeyeon.”
Taeyeon quickly helped her new assistant to stand up straight and shook her hand. “Don’t be too formal with me since we’re going to work together.” She smiled. “I think we’re in the same age, you can call me Taeyeon if you want.” “If there are just two of you. Remember that she still need to follow the protocol, Taeyeon-ah.” Yuri reminded. “Ah… I almost forgot.” “I will wait for you in the car, Your Highness.” Choi Sooyoung bowed to the three and left the room. “So, that was the first. The second thing I wanted to tell you is your palace is ready for you to move in.” Taeyeon nodded. “Thank goodness, then I don’t have to hear you two get it on like last night.” That instantly made Crown Prince Yuri and Crown Princess Jessica lowered her head in embarrassment. “I was just kidding, you two.” Taeyeon dorkily grinned. “Well, I should go now. Good luck with the pregnant thingy!” She turned her heels towards outside, but then stopped. “Oh, Yuri, you missed a hickey on your neck.” She laughed. Yuri quickly turned to her wife and confirmed about Taeyeon’s statement. Jessica only showed her reddened cheeks and hastily looked for her concealer. --“I can call you without honorifics, right?” Taeyeon asked the woman who drove the car. “Yes, Your Highness.” “It’s just the two of us, Sooyoung-ah. Relax.” The prince smiled. “How old are you?”
“I’m 24 years old, Prince Taeyeon.” “Ah… That makes me to be your ‘Unnie’. I am a year older from you, but Yuri is as old as you are.” “I’ve noticed, Your Highness.” Taeyeon frowned. “Call me Taeyeon, or Taeyeon Unnie, or Unnie. I don’t really like with the ‘Your Highness’ name calling.” “But like what Hwangtaeja had told us earlier, I still need to follow the protocol.” “But she also added the flexibility. So, relax, Sooyoung-ah.” Taeyeon grinned again. “What am I supposed to do in the event later?” “Ehm…” Sooyoung tapped her fingers on the steering wheel, thinking. “Blood donation is a must, then I think you should do the usual Prince stuff, wave and smile to the cameras, shaking hands, sign things, Y-yo-“ “Taeyeon.” “Y-yes. T-taeyeon U-unnie.” Taeyeon smiled. “Much better.” “But you need to wait until the field guards cleared the hall before going in and then wait again before you going out. I will give you the sign and please keep yourself close to me.” Taeyeon nodded. “Arasso. There will be a lot of famous figures other than me, right?” “From what I heard, several idols would be there, Y-your—Taeyeon Unnie.” Taeyeon’s ears perked up. “Idols? Will Tiffany Hwang be there?” “I think so.”
Taeyeon clapped her hands in excitement. --The Prince finally could sit back and relax after donating her blood and endlessly being flashed by the paparazzi. It was now the time to enjoy the buffet. Although the host already prepared a special table for Taeyeon, the prince chose to blend with other crowd. The petite girl was happily taking food onto her plate with her apparently shikshin assistant. She was about to drag Sooyoung to the patbingsoo vendor when a hand that she almost grabbed, slapped away her own hand. “Ow Ya—“ She stopped her words right after she saw who was standing beside her. She immediately bowed. “I’m sorry. I thought you are my assistant.” Her heart skipped a beat when she realized who the woman was. “It’s okay. Please be careful next time.” Taeyeon nodded. “I’m Taeyeon, by the way.” The prince offered her hand. The other person only smiled briefly. “Tiffany.” Then she walked away. Taeyeon jaw dropped ad her eyes followed the movement of the other woman. She felt intrigued by her treatment.
3: Stalker Duo “Do you want me to go in there with you or…?” Yuri asked her wife as she was continuously soothing her wife’s back. Jessica was nervous to see the gynecologist, scared of what the doctor would say according her reproductive system. “Up to you…” The Crown Prince kissed the Crown Princess’s forehead. “I’m coming then. I will always be with you every step of the way.” She smiled. The wife was also beamed her smile, feeling a little bit relaxed. Then the nurse told them that they were ready to examine the Crown Princess Sooyeon. “Good day Crown Prince and Crown Princess.” The doctor bowed before warmly smiled to the couple. “I have been informed that our Princess was going to see me. It’s an honor to have you both.” “For us too, doctor. Thank you for your time.” Yuri said. “You are very welcome, Your Highness. Now shall we start the check up?” The couple nodded. Jessica was being led to the changing room and then to the examination chair. The doctor sat in front of her. “Pardon me, Your Highness.” “Y-yes.” “This is my hand and this is the speculum, Crown Princess or should I say Mrs. Kwon?” The doctor then started observing Jessica. The Princess smiled. ‘Mrs. Kwon’ was actually lovely to be heard.
Jessica winced every time she felt the cold metal came in contact with her skin and immediately signaled her hubby to stand beside her. Being the attentive husband she was, Yuri held her wife’s hand and rubbed it softly through the check up. After 10 minutes or so, “Please have a seat, Crown Prince and Crown Princess.” The doctor gestured the respective seats for the pair. “So, how’s my wife, doctor?” Yuri asked once she seated, holding Jessica’s cold and trembling hand. The doctor smiled. “Everything looks good so far. But I will do more observation on the Crown Princess.” The physician turned to look at the Princess. “I recommend Your Highness to take supplements and get more rest.” Jessica only nod to the suggestion the doctor had given her. “Is there anything else she should do?” Yuri asked. “Yes, Your Highness. We may need to take samples for the lab, so we can make sure that Princess Jessica is alright.” --The Queen was having a family dinner with her family members. She didn’t get the chance to spend the morning with the Princes and Princess. Hence, she missed them and decided to gather them around with a simple warm supper. “How was the check up, Hwangtaeja? Is Princess Sooyeon pregnant by now?” The Queen asked. Yuri chuckled and Jessica blushed. “Not yet, My Queen. We were just being observed today, dr. Han will give us the result of Princess’s health condition in a couple of days. Let’s just hope for the best, Umma.” “I believe everything will go as you have planned.” The Queen showed her motherly smiled as she turned to her older daughter. “How was your day, Prince Taeyeon?”
“Bloody.” The answer made the whole table laughed. “Well, was there anything else than bloody in your day?” “It was kind of fun actually.” Taeyeon said. “I got to see famous idols today.” She grinned. A second after, the short Prince smiled like a fool. That caught the Crown Princess’s attention. “Idols?” Jessica questioned. Taeyeon nodded, munching on her steak. “Yeah.” “Was Tiffany Hwang there?” The Princess kept digging. The Prince stopped cutting the meat when she heard the name. “So she was there. Have you confessed? Did she say yes?” Jessica teased. Taeyeon choked on her food and Yuri was laughing on the reaction. But the Queen was lost from the conversation. “Who is Tiffany Hwang, Sooyeon-ah?” Jessica gently held the Queen’s hand. “She is your soon-to-be daughter-in-law, Omoni.” “Omo…” The Queen was surprised. “Your girlfriend, Taeyeon-ah?” Taeyeon was coughing now. She took a sip before answering. “No, Umma. She’s a singer and I just adore her.” Then she sent glares to Jessica, which was not giving any effect on the Ice Princess. “Our Taeyeon has a girlfriend.” The Queen teased. “Ummaaaaaaaaa~” Taeyeon whined. ---
Taeyeon put down her big suitcases on the floor of her bedroom in her own palace. She was about to rest her body on the bed when three knocks on the door distracted her from doing so. She walked to the door and opened it, just to find her assistant. “I’m sorry to bother you, Your Highness.” Sooyoung bowed. “I thought we agree on not calling me ‘Your Highness’. Anyway, what can I do for you, Sooyoung-ah?” Taeyeon flashed her kind and warm smile. Sooyoung looked for the guards and waited for a couple of seconds before saying, “I just wanted to tell you that I’ll be just down the hall if you need anything, Taeyeon Unnie.” “Alright.” Taeyeon nodded and grinned. “Do you need help with your luggage?” “Uhmm…” Taeyeon looked at the messy scene in her room. “I could use some help.” The Prince opened the door bigger and let the taller girl went inside. The tall girl and the not-so-tall girl started to arrange and fill in the closet with the clothes from the Prince’s bags. They were exchanging information as they did so. “So you are going to live here with me until I felt that I don’t need your help anymore?” Taeyeon reassured. “Yes, Taeyeon Unnie.” Sooyoung answered. “That’s boring.” The Prince commented. “How will you meet your family then?” “Then I’ll ask your permission.” “Don’t worry, Sooyoung-ah. I will always say yes.” Taeyeon grinned. “Don’t you have any question to ask me?” “Hmm…” Sooyoung thought for a second. “I heard that you studied to be a chef. Do you mind if you cooked something for me someday, Unnie?”
Taeyeon chuckled. “Sure. How about after we finished this?” Sooyoung beamed with happiness. “Yay!” --“Here it is… samgyetang a la Chef Taeyeon.” The Chef, or as known as the Prince, served a freshly cooked Korean ginseng chicken soup. Sooyoung already drooled over the food on the table. “Wuaaahhh… Thank you for the food, Unnie!” She immediately dug in. “Yah, slow down.” Taeyeon warned after she saw the shikshin eating without chewing the content of her bowl. “It’s just too good, Unnie.” Taeyeon smiled. “Glad that you liked it. Anyway, what’s my schedule for tomorrow?” “Uhh… One second.” Sooyoung fished out her phone to check the Prince’s to-do list for tomorrow. “You have nothing so far. Prince Yuri hasn’t told me about anything.” “She didn’t tell me either. So that means I’m free, right?” Sooyoung shrugged. “I suppose so. What do you want to do tomorrow, Unnie?” “Hmm…” Taeyeon scratched her head. But then a brilliant idea came up in her mind. “Let’s stalk someone.” “H-h-uh? Who…?” “Tiffany Hwang.” “And why do we have to do that?” Taeyeon shrugged, trying to appear casual. “Just curious.”
--The next morning Prince Taeyeon was accidentally met her half sister at the parking lot. “What are you doing here early in the morning?” The Crown Prince asked. “I… I wanted to go outside and travel around the city since I have absolutely nothing to do today.” She lied. As what the short Prince had planned the night before, she was going to stalk the eye-smiling singer for the whole day. Why? Because she felt intrigued, attracted, and yet enthralled by the girl. But she didn’t want her half sister to know what she was about to commit… yet. “What are you doing here so early in the morning?” Yuri pressed a button on her key and unlocked one of the sport cars. “I missed driving on my own. So I’m gonna spin some laps around the palace before the morning meeting with the ministers.” “Meeting with ministers. Super boring.” Taeyeon commented. “Oh well, I’ll be going now.” She paused to take a breathe before shouting, “CHOI SOOYOUNG LET’S GO!” “Wait.” Yuri halted Taeyeon from entering the car. “You are going to travel around the city only with Sooyoung?” “Uhm… Yeah. Why?” “It’s not safe, Taeyeon-ah. I’ll call another cars to protect you all the way.” The tanned woman was about to dial a number on her phone when a hand swatted her way. “Please don’t. I don’t want to make a big scene through the entire city. That’s why I’m taking Sooyoung only.” Taeyeon begged. She didn’t want her stalking planned went fail just because she would be easily found. Yuri showed her worried face. “I’m not really sure about that.” “Please… Just one time. I promise I’ll take the entire army when I go out next time.”
The Crown Prince did still not like the idea, but she gave up anyway. “Alright. One last time. If anything happens call me or Sica, okay?” “Yes Appa.” “Good girl. Don’t make me plus your Umma worry about you today. Have fun!” Yuri was referring to Jessica. Little that Taeyeon knows, Yuri sent a back up car to follow the Prince car for the whole day. --Sooyoung and Taeyeon got into a black sedan, not the one the Princes or Princesses usually take, but the modest one, so they wouldn’t be easily discovered by the victim of their tailing scheme. “Do you happen to know where do we should start today?” Taeyeon asked the woman beside her, pulling the front cap of her hat lower. “It will be too late if we go to her house, let’s try her agency building. How about it, Unnie?” “Sounds good to me.” Sooyoung quickly drove the car to the destination. Taeyeon on the other hand, was too excited she failed to hide her enthusiasm in front of her assistant slash new found best friend and roommate. “Can I ask something, Unnie?” “Sure, shoot away.” “Why are you so happy?” “I… uhh… Can’t I just be happy today?” “O-of course you can, Unnie.”
The conversation went down as they rode their car to Tiffany’s agency building. Once they got there, Sooyoung parked the car across the street with the best view directly showed the lobby’s door. Hence, they would notice when the singer would go out from there. Five minutes went by. Then it turned to twenty. The short Prince finally sighed after 30 minutes she waited and paid her full attention to the door. “Damn. Where is she? What took her so long?” She massaged her temples. “There she is, Your Highness!” Sooyoung yelled, pointing at the walking Tiffany. Taeyeon’s eyes immediately followed the movement of the singer. Her lips pursed into a creepy smiled as she stared the eye-smiling lady. “She got into a coffee shop! Should I go to?” She asked Sooyoung. “Won’t it be too fast?” Taeyeon agreed. “Ah yes yes. You’re right.” She held back her desire to go inside the same store where Tiffany was located and waited for some more. Sometime later that day, the stalker duo called for a time out. They had been following the famous singer’s schedules most of the time and they were hungry and yet, exhausted from all the waiting. Sooyoung suggested Taeyeon to dine in a secluded restaurant near the broadcast station Tiffany was currently at. She knew the place was pretty secured for famous icons. Yuri once had simple dinner with Jessica there successfully without anyone noticed, not even the press. Taeyeon stretched her back once she sat down on the chair. “Gosh, my back. I didn’t know being a stalker would be that hard. Anyway, go order anything you want, it’s on me, considering your payment for today’s… job.” She grinned. Sooyoung gladly took the permission and ordered bunch of foods to fill her empty shikshin stomach.
But then a loud commotion could be heard from the restaurant’s entrance. Taeyeon craned her neck to get the view. Her eyes widened. “Yah! Choi Sooyoung!” She hissed while secretly giving a hint to her assistant. “Oh my God. It’s our victim!” Sooyoung whispered after she saw who was entered the diner. “Who’s the cute girl beside her?” Her voice trailed off. Then two pair of eyes set straight to their direction. Sooyoung quickly turned her head, while Taeyeon was hiding her face behind the menu as fast as she could. “Shoot!” --“Isn’t that Prince Taeyeon?” “Where?” Sunny pointed at the mysterious woman with a hat at the way back of the restaurant with her chin. Being a huge fan of the Prince, she would easily recognize the figure. Tiffany looked at the same direction and furrowed her brows. “She is looked like her. But it doesn’t mean that that woman is her, don’t be silly, Lee Soonkyu. Why would be a Prince with gazillion money like her have a dinner here with a date?” The shorter girl found herself nodding away on Tiffany’s statement, although she was still sure though that the woman was Taeyeon. “True.”
4: Busted “Sunny, stop looking at them.” Tiffany warned. Lee Sunny diverted her eyes back on the menu. She was somehow still convinced that the person, who was sitting behind her, was the Prince. “Sorry, I just… Never mind.” The short manager secretly glanced at Taeyeon’s direction again. Unfortunately, the singer caught her best friend staring back at whom the shorter girl thought the Prince of Korea. “Lee Soonkyu!” Tiffany hissed. Sunny shook her head before once again, read the menu on her hand. “Right. Sorry. I was just so sure that she is Prince Taeyeon.” “I told you, she is not. Well, if she really was your Prince, then what would you do?” “Err… nothing.” Tiffany snapped her finger. “Exactly.” She raised her hand up to signal the waiter to come. “Now let’s just eat. I still have radio interview after this.” “Right.” --“I think we should get out from here. That girl in front of her started to get really suspicious on us, Sooyoung-ah.” Taeyeon said, her eyes secretly stole glances at Tiffany’s table. Sooyoung immediately finished her plate after she heard what Taeyeon had said to her. “Awight.” She said with a mouth full of food. For Sooyoung, no matter the urgent thing was going to happen, full stomach was still number one. Taeyeon fixed her disguise before standing up, heading to the cashier and paid for the meal. Once they were in the car, the Prince huffed.
“Tired, Unnie?” “Yeah, kind of.” “Do you want to head back now or still want to follow Miss Tiffany?” Sooyoung asked as she started the car. “Let’s just go home. I know you’re tired too.” --Choi Sooyoung parked the car then went outside to open Taeyeon’s door just before the short Prince protested and did it by herself. The two were not aware of another people presented in the garage. Not until one of the two individuals cleared the throat. Sooyoung turned her head and suddenly bowed deeply. “G-good evening Prince Yuri and Princess Jessica…” “Hi Sooyoung.” “Yuri? Sica? What are you guys doing here?” Taeyeon asked after she got out from the car. “Waiting for you.” Yuri said. “How was the city tour?” “It must have been fun, Seobang.” Jessica commented, smirking all the way. “Which places have you been visiting?” Taeyeon scratched her head. “Err… Gyeongbuk Palace. You know the usual tourist spots.” “Did you escort Prince Taeyeon there, Sooyoung?” Sooyoung didn’t dare to raise her head nor confirming Crown Prince’s question.
“Yeah, she drove me there.” Taeyeon took over. “Oh really? Because from what I’ve been told…” Jessica unfolded a piece of paper. “… You went to… let’s see… S.M. Enterainment’s office, then a recording studio, a photoshoot studio, a TV broadcasting studio, and Seobang! Look at this!” The princess pointed a name on the list. “We had our dinner once there! Wait, there’s a footnote from our guy.” “It would appear that Prince Taeyeon was following Miss Tiffany Hwang throughout the day.” Yuri read the footnote. “Stalking a singer, really Taeyeon?” “And you were stalking me too?” Taeyeon retorted, blushing furiously, but still trying to conserve her dignity. “There’s a different between stalking and keeping you safe. I sent another car to follow you around just to make sure that you would be safe.” Yuri said. “But we happened to gain a thing to tease you.” Jessica added, backing up her hubby. “Taeyeon and Tiffany sitting on a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G!” She laughed. Yuri was laughing too. The short Prince could only took the humiliation and accepted that she had been caught in a worst state. “Can we talk about this somewhere else? I prefer to end it though.” Taeyeon sulked. Yuri and Jessica stopped laughing. “Okay, sorry. I guess that’s enough teasing for today.” The Crown Prince stated. “We should go back and rest, we’ll have a long day tomorrow. Get her ready early tomorrow, Sooyoung-ah.” “Y-yes, Your Highness.” “Goodnight, lovebird.” Jessica snickered as she locked her arms onto her husband’s. “Don’t dream about Tiffany. Pity the girl after you stalked her all day, don’t stalk her in your dream too.” Yuri chuckled.
“Shut up!” --Taeyeon rubbed her eyes, trying to get rid of the sleepiness. She knew she couldn’t fall asleep now. Not in front of board of ministers that were scrutinizing her every action. But the boredom slowly killed her, her eyes especially. The short Prince looked up from her seat, watching her half sister calmly giving her speech with her grace and charisma. I made the right choice by offering my title to her. Taeyeon thought. She would never be able to do what Yuri had done. “Does Prince Taeyeon want to add a thing or two?” The petite girl snapped from her thought and looked at her surrounding. People were waiting for her answer. She gulped and thought of an answer for a second, but what she could think of if she didn’t even know the question. “Ehm… I could not agree more to what Crown Prince Yuri had said.” “So it’s settled then, Prince Taeyeon would be our representative in promoting South Korea not only inward but also outward.” Taeyeon’s eyes widened after she heard one of the ministers spoke. She shot a shock glance at Yuri, baffled with the statement. Instead of explaining, the Crown Prince only signaled her sister to nod away. Taeyeon closed her eyes for a second before replying, “Yes, I understand. I will give my best on my duty.” Yuri then gestured Taeyeon to stand up and to get ready to leave the room. “I would like to thank for the ministers presence for this meeting.” The people in the room bowed deeply on the two Princes until they got out from the room. “What was that?” The short Prince asked her sister once they were out.
“You’re the new face of our palace and you happened to agree to it.” The petite girl was trying to catch the tanned woman’s steps. “But I wasn’t even k—“ “Know?” Yuri stopped and looked at her sister. “I know you weren’t even listening. That’s why next time it’s important for you to pay attention to a meeting like wise.” The Crown Prince paused to type a message on her phone. “Anyway, it’s a good chance for you to work with famous people in promoting our country. For example, Tiffany Hwang.” The Crown Prince grinned. Prince Taeyeon’s mind suddenly clouded with the images of her stalking victim. Seeing this, Yuri took a chance to say, “Now you got the implied benefit, I can go with peace.” “But—yah! Where are you going?” “Meeting Jessica’s doctor!” --“Good Afternoon, Hwangtaeja.” The doctor bowed. Yuri briefly nodded and smiled. “Afternoon, doctor. I suppose my wife already went here earlier.” “Yes, Your Highness.” “You wouldn’t mind to repeat the result for me then, would you?” The doctor smiled. “Not at all, Your Highness.” Then the doctor took a paper from the drawer. “Instead, it would be my pleasure to deliver such a good news for you.” The doctor smiled then gestured Yuri to take a seat. The Crown Prince suddenly felt good since the doctor had mention about delivering good news to her. She calmly sat down, crossing her legs, clasping her palms, and waited for the words.
“Princess Jessica is wonderfully healthy, but other than that, we also found that she’s currently pregnant for two weeks, Hwangtaeja. Congratulations.” “W-what? M-my wife’s pregnant?” The doctor confirmed it again. “Yes, Your Highness.” --“Hi Umma.” Yuri spoke through the phone. “Umma? Seobang, check your phone.” “I didn’t call the wrong person. I just got out from dr. Han’s office. Congratulations, baby.” The handsome tanned woman said, her lips formed a wide grin on her face. She was beyond happy. Jessica giggled on the line. “And congratulations to you too, Appa.” She said. “Two weeks, huh?” “Yeah…” “That means… that night…” Yuri blushed. “The one that you were so drunk. Beast Yul night.” Jessica giggled. “Yaaaaahhh~” “Sorry. Let’s tell them tonight, Seobang.” “Alrighty. I’ll see you later. I love you, Sica Umma.” “I love you too, Yul Appa.” ---
“Sooyoung-ah, I’m bored!” Taeyeon yelled while slouching on the couch in her palace’s living room. After finished the morning meeting with ministers, she got absolutely nothing to do. Her sister left her to see her sister-in-law’s doctor. Her mother was also left to see her doctor. So the only person she could bug all day was her assistant. And unfortunately, the short Prince already bored teasing and playing with Sooyoung for the past two hours. “What do you want to do then, Unnie?” Sooyoung asked. “I can set up another Wii game, if you want.” “Nah, I’m tired playing Wii.” Taeyeon exhaled. “I don’t know what to do actually, but I’m bored staying in this place whole day.” But then a bright idea came upon the tall assistant’s mind. “How about stalking Miss Tiffany again? It’s kind of fun, Unnie.” “No. Yuri and Jessica will tease me to death if they knew about this.” “But Crown Prince and Crown Princess were not in Palace right now. They wouldn’t possibly know and send another car to follow us if we sneaked out first.” Taeyeon turned her head to Sooyoung. Temptation to see the girl she admired was already filling her brain. She smirked, followed along by her assistant. “Good job, Sooyoungie. Put on your disguise. We’re going to stalk some more.” She evilly chortled. --“Yah. I think your info is not valid, Sooyoung-ah. She wasn’t even here.” Taeyeon stated while looking at Tiffany’s agency office door through her binocular for the past forty minutes. The shikshin checked on her iPad again while munching chocolate bread. “Their website said that she would have an interview right there and should be finished by ten minutes ago, Unnie. Maybe she hasn’t come out yet.”
Taeyeon puffed her cheeks. “Let’s take a break and get coffee.” The short Prince put on her mask and hoodie before getting out of the car. She walked to the coffee shop just beside the singer’s agency office followed closely by her tall assistant. “Let me get the order, Unnie.” Sooyoung was a bit worried that people inside the café would find out about Taeyeon, so she offered to take charge in ordering the drink. “I’m fine.” Taeyeon patted her shoulder and went on ordering with no problem. --“… yeah, he was a bit annoying, but I’m fine Sunny.” Tiffany smiled sweetly as she opened the café’s door and went inside, letting her manager went inside too. “I didn’t know it would be like that. But oh well, you did great, it should be perfect to be aired.” Sunny said. The two were keep conversing until they got in front of the cashier to order. “I want ice Vanilla Latte. What do you want Fany?” “I… uhh…” Tiffany tapped her chin while reading the beverage lists on the wall. “I’ll just have ice lemon tea for today.” She made her order. “I’ll find us seats, could you…?” “Yeah yeah. I’ll take care the drinks, go find a nice spot!” Tiffany beamed. “Thanks Sunny-ah!” She then walked to a secluded part of the café. She usually chose that place because she would have a very comfy ambience, far from the noisy crowd. But today, her usual spot were taken and only left another seat just beside it. Tiffany shrugged and went to sit on the couch. Taeyeon, on the other hand, was almost made a very loud gasp and went on crazy fangirling mode when the singer set her beautiful rear, for Taeyeon’s liking, on the seat next to her. Fortunately, the girl could stop herself and act as normal as she could, although she had to kick Sooyoung’s legs under the table to channel her excitement.
Sooyoung could only maintain her poker face while stuffing the food onto her mouth to stop flinching from the pain the Prince had caused, and not to make their stalking victim startled from her suffering. “Guess what…” Sunny came, holding a tray on her hands. “The barista that has been checking me out gave us these cakes for free.” The short manager put down the tray on the table. “Whuaaaa…” Tiffany eyes twinkled when she saw the cake. “I wish the unagi chef near our place was this kind to give us free unagi don.” She took a bite. “Yummy!” But then, Sunny threw her glance towards the next seat beside her. She found that the two people seating right next to her were oddly familiar. “Prince Taeyeon?” Taeyeon and Sooyoung chocked on their drinks.
5: Meeting Sunny threw her glance towards the next seat beside her. She found that the two people seating right next to her were oddly familiar. “Prince Taeyeon?” Taeyeon and Sooyoung chocked on their drinks. The short Prince was panicked that this… short… creature… sitting in front of her favorite singer was able to blow up her cover. She cursed inside when she realized that she had no way out but to reveal herself. She gulped and was about to open her mouth when a voice butted in. “They are just another customers, Sunny-ah.” Tiffany then turned to a pale Sooyoung and terrified Taeyeon, slightly bowing. “I’m sorry for my friend, are you guys okay?” The two only nodded in respond to the question. “Yah! I told you to stop obsessing on that snotty Prince.” The singer scolded the manager. “Would you stop calling her snotty?” Sunny retorted. Snotty? Taeyeon thought to herself. So I was only a snotty Prince to her…? Is that what people thought about me? She shook her head. She gestured Sooyoung to get out from there, not forgetting to bow to Tiffany and Sunny briefly before heading to the door. The Prince went on silent mode as far as they drove back from the café to the palace. She felt kind of down when she heard what her favorite singer thought about her. Then she huffed. “Are you okay, Unnie?” Sooyoung broke the silence. Actually she was worried about her boss for being not talkative as she used to be. Taeyeon snapped from her trance. “What was it, Sooyoung-ah?” “Are you okay?” The tall assistant repeated her question.
“Sort of… why?” “I don’t know. You seemed kind of down after we left the café.” The shorter girl sighed. “Am I snotty, Sooyoung-ah? I mean I know you just knew me just for a couple of weeks, but am I?” “No, Unnie. You are not snotty. Not at all in fact. My former boss is.” “Your former boss?” Taeyeon looked at the latter. “Yeah, minister of finance’s daughter. She’s kind of… spoiled. But this is our secret Unnie.” “I understand.” “Actually I was a bit surprised with your gestures and how you treat people. I couldn’t believe that you actually went to the Palace alone from the airport with public transportation. Never in my life I see or hear about someone who has a high rank in society still do what you did, you know.” Sooyoung confessed. “I’m pretty impressed by your action, Unnie. You are awesome.” She grinned. “Well thank you.” “Don’t hear about what people say about you, Unnie. It’s better for you to show them who you really are rather than drown yourself in sadness and stress just because of their words or judgment.” Taeyeon stared at her assistant. “Good words. Thank you, Choi Sooyoung.” “The pleasure is mine, Prince Taeyeon.” --Jessica just went inside the Queen’s Palace when she saw Taeyeon walking to the same direction with her while straightening her jacket. “Taeyeon?”
Taeyeon halted her steps and looked at the one who called her. “Sica?” “Just got home?” “Yeah. You too I guess?” The Crown Princess nodded. “Just finished my schedule. Is Yuri with you?” She craned her neck to check whether her husband was behind the girl or not. “Err… No… Didn’t she suppose to be with you?” Jessica hooked an arm with Taeyeon while continuing her step, dragging Taeyeon. “I thought she spent the whole day with you. So you didn’t know about the news yet, right?” “News? What news?” --“We are pregnant!” Yuri and Jessica announced the good news to the Queen and the Prince. They widely smiled and held hands when they did that. The Queen was beamed upon hearing that. “Omo! Congratulations Yuri-ah, Sooyeon-ah. How long is it?” “Two weeks.” Yuri said, rubbing her wife’s still flat stomach. “I’m going to be a grandma!” “And I’m going to be your new babysitter! Yay! Congratulations, sissy!” Taeyeon hugged her sister and then her sister’s wife. “Glad that you already knew your role to our baby’s life.” Jessica snickered. “I’ll send your uniform later.” She joked. “How do you feel, Sooyeon-ah? Nauseous in the morning?”
Jessica shook her head. “Not that I’m aware of, Omoni. Maybe the symptoms haven’t started yet.” “You should take care of her better, Yuri-ah. Let Taeyeon help you with some of your tasks.” The Queen advised. The Crown Prince nodded as she helped her wife to get the food. “Yes, Umma. I already did it today, actually.” “Really?” “Yes. Taeyeon will help handling the ministry of culture, sport and tourism, as well as with the ministry of foreign affairs, Umma.” “Is that true, Taeyeon?” Taeyeon was agreeing to her sister’s statement with defeated look. “It appeared so, Umma.” “Isn’t it great to see my daughters working together? I’m proud of you two.” The Queen showed her motherly smile. “And I think, we should announce about your pregnancy.” “We will do it in a couple of weeks, Umma, when we celebrate our anniversary.” --Taeyeon was spending her time at her palace’s balcony after the dinner with her family. Somehow she was still thinking about Tiffany’s words back at the café and about Sooyoung’s words back in the car. So I should show people that I’m not snotty? But how…? The petite girl threw her glance at the sky. Why do I even bothered with her words, it’s not like that I wanted to steal her heart. Or do I want to steal her heart?
Are you out of your mind, Kim Taeyeon? But she’s beautiful, and nice, not to mention that butt to die for. Wait, why do I concentrate only to her again? Well, she’s part of the society. And… Butt. “Eish…” Taeyeon ruffled her own hair. “—nie… Your Highness…?” Taeyeon startled and turned around to see her assistant. “Yes?” “Hwangtaeja just told me that you are free for tomorrow. And she also told me that if you wanted to go somewhere you should give her head ups.” “Okay. Anything else?” “That’s all, Unnie. I’ll be in my room if you need anything.” “Thanks Sooyoung-ah. Good night.” “Good night, Unnie.” --“Seobang?” Jessica called. Yuri was brushing her hair before went to her wife’s side on the bed. “Yes, my Princess?” “I saw Taeyeon earlier before the dinner.”
The tanned woman put her head on the fair skinned woman’s lap. “And then?” Jessica automatically stroked her Seobang’s hair. “I think she went to stalk that singer again.” “And why would you say that?” “Because she was wearing those clothes, baggy hoodie, simple shirt and jeans like when we caught her red-handed.” “Then why if she stalked that singer again?” Yuri buried her face on Jessica’s tummy, peppering it with kisses. The Crown Princess smiled upon the gestures. “Don’t you think your sister is falling for the girl?” Yuri looked up. “It’s obvious, baby. Since the day she asked you about her, I knew that she already fallen for her.” “Should we do something about it?” “Nope. Not for now.” Yuri buried her face again. “Let’s stop talking about Taeyeon. I want to talk to my baby.” She kissed the skin of Jessica’s tummy once again before saying. “Hi little one. I’m your Appa. I can’t wait to see you.” Jessica giggled when she felt another kiss. “Yah~ It tickles, Appa.” --Tiffany woke up just to find her manager watching the TV loudly. Apparently it was about the spoiled Prince her best friend loved. The Prince was documented spending her time touring around Seoul with public transportations, helping the elderly with their jobs, living a humble life kind of thing. “Turn down the volume if you want to continue fangirling over your Prince in my room with my TV.”
“I just wanted to prove that Prince Taeyeon is not a spoiled brat like what you think, Fany.” Sunny said as she obeyed the singer’s command. “Are we going to argue about this right now?” “No, I’m just showing you the fact.” “Okay, point taken.” “Wait…” The short manager paused the screen. “Isn’t that the lady we met at the restaurant and the café?” She pointed at the taller woman behind Taeyeon. Tiffany involuntary looked at the frozen image on her TV. Her eyes widened. Then everything hit Sunny’s brain. “Oh. My. God. You do know what that means, right?” She squealed. “I got to choke the Prince—wait that came out wrong. I mean… You do know what I mean!” Sunny squealed again. “That was not something you should proud of, Sunny-ah.” --Sooyoung took a deep intake of air into her lungs after she went inside the car. She was tired following and guarding the Prince. She was actually relieved and thrilled when Taeyeon decided to call in and asked the Palace to get them with a car. “Tired, Sooyoung-ah?” “Y-yes. Your Highness.” “Thanks for today.” “You’re welcome, Your Highness.” “Let’s get something to eat. Uh… Mr. Driver…? Could you drive us to this address?” Taeyeon showed her phone which showing the café near Tiffany’s office’s address.
“Absolutely, Your Highness.” “Thank you.” “Do we need to secure the area, Your Highness?” The driver asked. “No need. We’ll be fine. I have you two by my side.” --The customers inside the café were frozen when they recognized the person who was just entered the building. They couldn’t keep their mouth shut when they saw Taeyeon walked slowly approaching the cashier who was ready to take an order. But a few seconds later, the crowd was starting to take pictures, murmuring one to another, and squealing when the Prince threw her signature smile at them. “G-g-ahem-Good evening, Y-your Highness.” The cashier bowed deeply. “M-may I take… your order?” “Hi and yes please. I would like to have…” Taeyeon read the menu plastered on the wall behind the latter. “One cappuccino, one double-decker sandwich… What do you want, Sooyoung-ah?” “I’ll have the same, Your Highness.” “And Mr. Driver…?” “I’ve eaten before, Your Highness. I will wait outside, just in case.” “No no no. Please join us. One cup of coffee, yeah?” “Y-yes, Your Highness.” “Okay. So…” Taeyeon repeated the order and paid for the meal. After that she took the same seat when she was there a few days ago, followed by Sooyoung and the current driver. Sooyoung
was behaving by the book that day because there was another Palace’s squad member until the Prince insisted that they, Sooyoung and the driver, to treat her as their friend. This was absolutely causing the unusual reaction from the people. And then came the singer into the café. She usually ordered something before going home with her manager. When Tiffany entered the café, she was suspicious because the other customers and even the whole crews of the place were concentrated onto something. They were looking to a same direction, her regular spot. “Hey, can I get one strawberry ice tea?” “Sure, Miss Tiffany, anything else?” “And one frappucino blended.” Tiffany was giving her credit card to the cashier when she asked, “What is happening?” But before the cashier got to answer the question, a super fangirl of the short Prince butted in. “Yah Fany-ah! Prince Taeyeon is hereee!” Sunny for the nth squealed. “Don’t tell me she’s right there?” --Oh. My. God. I can’t believe she took my favorite place. AGAIN. Tiffany huffed when she saw the short Prince handsomely sat down while having a conversation with whom happened to be her guards in Tiffany’s mind. On the other hand, Taeyeon had noticed that the singer she liked already took the seat beside her, along with the short girl she always seen beside the girl. The one who almost blew up her cover. The short Prince turned her head to greet them. “Good evening, Miss Tiffany and Miss…?” “Please marry me.” Sunny breathed. That answer earned a sharp step from Tiffany. “I’m Sunny. I mean. Tiffany’s manager, Y-y-your Highness.”
“Ah.” Taeyeon nodded. “Nice meeting you here, please call me Taeyeon. I’m not a Prince at time like this.” The Prince offered her hand to shake. The Manager gladly took the hand and held it close. “Please let me have your baby.” Sunny unconsciously stated, again. And Tiffany had to kick her leg, again. “Sorry, she’s your biggest fan. Nice meeting you here, Taeyeon. And please call me, Tiffany.” Tiffany forced a smile on her face. “What brings you here, Taeyeon?” She asked, purely curious. You. “I just happened to drive by the street and I was hungry so I decided to take the pit stop.” Taeyeon smiled. “You are a regular here I suppose?” “Yep.” “Well, okay. Enjoy your drinks?” “Yes, Taeyeon. You too.”
6: Scheme “I won’t wash my hand for the rest of my life.“ Sunny said dreamingly in the bathroom of the apartment she shared with her best friend. And then she sniffed her own hand. “I still can smell her, Fany-ah.” Tiffany was just rinsed her mouth from brushing her teeth when she felt to gag on the statement came out from her manager. “And here I thought asking the Prince to get you pregnant was embarrassing enough.”
“Not washing my hand is not an embarrassment.” “Not when you are my manager who happen to use her hand every time a lot of time in front and to a lot of people.” The singer paused. “I still don’t get it though. Why do you like her so much?” “Who? Prince Taeyeon?” A nod. “Well duh. She’s smart, independent, kind, not to mention good looking and many other things that I couldn’t describe by words.” “I agree that she’s smart and good looking, but independent and kind? I don’t think so, those were just the images she wanted the people to portray her.” “But you do agree that she’s good looking and smart, you don’t really hate her, do you? You were just butt hurt on your bad day, and unfortunately, she was there.” --Sooyoung re-read the letters on her smartphone’s calendar which showing her boss’s schedule for the week. “Uhh… Unnie…? “Yep?” Taeyeon was preparing a dish for their dinner. “Can I ask you a question?” “Sure.” “What’s with visiting S. M. Ent’s building for the whole week?” Taeyeon stopped chopping and thought for an answer. “I uhh… I was planning to ask the artists from there to make promoting commercials for our country’s tourism. And… and… to get the performers for Yuri and Jessica’s anniversary. Yes. That.”
“Ah…” The taller woman nodded. “But why the whole week, you can just pop in one day, ask the management for the suitable candidate, and finish everything by then? I mean it’s not a hard work. Wait, are you still stalking Miss Tiffany Hwang?” “What? Pfft. No.” The Prince quickly denied. “Oh come on, Unnie. Tell meee~~ Tell Ddooyoung. Tell Ddooyoung, pweaseeeee~~” Sooyoung learned that Taeyeon would grant her wish with the aegyo a couple days ago. And since then she was using it all the time. “Oh God. Fine. Yes, I’m stalking Miss Hwang.” “Why?” “What do you mean why? Told you I’m curious.” “Oh come on, Unnie. I would still believe that reason a week ago. Not now. I know you already. Wait…” Sooyoung paused. “Can I ask a question again?” The short woman rolled her eyes. “You’ve been interrogating me. It doesn’t make a different to ask my permission, S’young-ah.” “Well, I’m just trying to be polite, Unnie.” Sooyoung said. “So? The question?” “Do you like Miss Tiffany Hwang?” Taeyeon was surprised and accidentally cut her hand. “OW!” It bled out. The Prince quickly sucked the blood while running to the nearest faucet to get her would clean under the running water. Sooyoung immediately helped Taeyeon with band-aid and any other things needed. “Oh God, I wounded the Prince. I’ll get hanged in the yard tomorrow.”
“Don’t exaggerate. It was my own fault.” After everything done, Taeyeon went back to her chopping board, hoping that the shikshin would forget the topic. But she was wrong. “From the reaction, I guessed you do like Miss Hwang.” “OW!” Taeyeon cut another finger and the messy scene was replayed again. She frantically ran to the faucet; followed by her assistant, who was searching for the band-aid. “I will definitely get hanged tomorrow or chopped off to pieces. Oh no. I’m sorry Unnie. But please do answer me before I die.” “…” “Come on, your secret is safe with Choi Sooyoung.” Taeyeon shrugged. “I think I might like her since the day I saw her singing on screen.” “Omo…” The assistant closed her mouth. “Love at the first sight!” The Prince involuntary blushed. “Not love… Sooyoung-ah.” “Yet, Your Highness. I like this kind of thing! Let’s get Miss Hwang to like you too, Unnie. I’ll help.” “Do we have to?” The tall woman nodded so eagerly. “Okay. Trying won’t hurt.” “Let’s brainstorm after we eat!”
--Soon after dinner was served and eaten by the Prince and her assistant, the two were in Taeyeon’s palace’s library to brainstorm or whatever Sooyoung had proposed before. The tall shikshin found a white board and some markers and she thought it was perfect to use it as the mood board. “So… We have been stalking Miss Hwang for more or less a week. With and without being exposed.” The Prince nodded as she watched the younger girl started scribbling something on the board. “What we have learned about her so far?” Sooyoung asked, turning her body to see Taeyeon. “Uhh… She’s a very famous Korean-American singer. A very beautiful one.” The assistant rolled her eyes but she wrote it down anyway. “And then?” “Her manager is my biggest fan, just like she said.” “Okay. And then?” “She loves pink.” “Uh-huh. Then?” “She hates me.” “Ow, my poor poor Prince.” Sooyoung jotted it down again. “Cheer up, Unnie. Maybe we can turn her hatred to be love towards you.” She winked. “Now, the question is, why does she hate you?” Taeyeon looked away to think of the answer, but then she remembered something. “She described me as a snotty Prince.” “Oh my God. That was why you tortured me a couple days ago?!”
“Focus, Sooyoung-ah.” Sooyoung took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a second. “Right. Sorry Unnie. Back to the topic, those were what we have learned about Miss Hwang. More or less.” She paused. “And as your helper, I have learned a thing or two about you.” The tall shikshin was jotting down on the board again until a loud voice sounded across the room. “YAH!” Taeyeon yelled. “What’s with the fun sized?” “Well I wanted to write short but it will hurt you more, so, I think it would be better to write it this way.” The younger girl said casually. That was just earned more protests from Taeyeon for a bit while. But then everything went back to the most important topic of how to make Tiffany Hwang like Kim Taeyeon. Sooyoung dusted off her hands after putting down the markers. “Now we have to analyze…” --“Sic—uhmmm…” Jessica was pulling Yuri’s collar and assaulting the lips with her own once she saw the Crown Prince entering their palace. “Ya—mmm…” Yuri was obviously trying to figure out what was happening with her wife. After a minute smothering her husband without mercy, the Crown Princess finally let go the plump pair pinkish lips. She traced the outline with her thumb and smiled. “Hi…” Jessica said while catching her breath. “Wow. What was that?” Yuri was still dazed by the kiss. “My lips. I missed you.” Jessica grinned. “Anyway, I tried to cook today.” That instantly alerted Kwon Yuri and brought her back from her trance. “What? You’re cooking?” The older girl nodded. “Well, actually it ended up with me cheering up the chefs in the kitchen.”
The Crown Prince was burst out laughing. “Cheering them up? You’re too cute, baby.” She affectionately tapped the nose and planted her lips on her wife’s forehead. “Yeah, since they’re too afraid the Crown Princess would harm herself and the Crown Prince would likely fry them alive if her wife gets hurt.” “True.” Yuri took Jessica’s hand and intertwined with her own while walking to their bedroom. “How’s my baby today?” “Which one?” “The little one.” The tanned woman put her bag and placed her watch on the dressing table. Soon, she took off her suit. The fair skinned woman helped along. “Our little one is fine. I think she missed her Appa though.” “Really?” Yuri kneeled down and pressed her lips on her wife’s belly. “Hey you. Appa’s here now.” As if on cue, Jessica’s tummy made a loud sound of growl. She blushed. Yuri stood up. “I think our baby is hungry. Come on.” “You don’t want to shower first?” “I’ll do it after the dinner.” --“Good evening, Your Majesty.” Yuri greeted by bowing along with Jessica. “Good evening, Crown Prince and Crown Princess.” The Queen smiled but she noticed that her other daughter was not with them. “Where is your sister, Yuri?”
“I think she’s in her palace, Umma. Let her have free time for today.” The Crown Prince said while she helped her wife with the chair. The Queen understood. “So I heard my daughter-in-law visited the kitchen today. Which one of these that you made, Sooyeon-ah?” “I tried to make the salad, but it stopped after I chopped the first tomato and the chefs took over, Omoni.” Jessica’s voice trailed off and her cheeks were flustered in embarrassment. “Oh. Why?” “It’s safer for her.” And us. Yuri answered before her wife could reply. The mother nodded, agreeing with Yuri’s opinion. “So how is Taeyeon’s work with you? Is she okay? Does she find any difficulties so far? I’m worried that it would be too hard for her since she’s been away for quite sometime.” “She’s doing great so far, Umma. She’s very intelligent and cooperative.” “Really?” The Crown Prince confirmed the question with her head, gesturing that it was the real thing. “Then what about her trips with her only guard, whose that girl’s name again, Choi Sooyoung?” “Yes, Umma. Choi Sooyoung. I think she was just taking some steam off of her head so they drove around the city.” Yuri covered. She was fully known where were Taeyeon and Sooyoung position by that time. “Just don’t let her do something she or we might regret, Yuri-ah.” --“I think we might get a way to let your presence or at least your image changed on her mind, Unnie.”
“How?” Sooyoung wrote a name on the white board. “Sunny?” The older woman read and questioned at the same time. The younger girl grinningly nodded. “She’s your biggest fan like what you’ve said. We can ‘use’ her to get Miss Tiffany to like you back. I mean, she would do anything for you. She even let you impregnate her for God’s sake.” Taeyeon chuckled. “That might be right. So what should we do?” Sooyoung fished out her phone from her pocket and dialed a number. She waited for a couple of rings before a voice answered her through the line. “Good evening, is this Miss Lee Sunny?”
7: Heart Stealing Action Sunny glanced at her buzzing phone which also showing an unidentified number as her caller. She was contemplating for a moment before finally picked it up. “Hello?” “Good evening, is this Miss Lee Sunny?” Not recognizing the voice, Sunny scrunched her brows, but keep answering anyway. “…Ye…sh… Who is this?”
“I’m calling on behalf of Prince Kim Taeyeon. But before we can talk some more, I need you to keep this for yourself only. Not even your roommate can know about this. Are we clear?” Sunny’s mind went on an absolute blank. She digested the information for a little while before finally dashing into her room. “Miss Lee Sunny?” “Y-yes. We are very clear. Crystal clear, Ma’am.” “Good. Now Prince Kim Taeyeon will speak with you.” The short manager couldn’t contain her happiness anymore when she heard the statement, but then suddenly she felt nervous. It was the Prince! “Y-y-yes.” A rustling sounds then a cough heard before finally a very calm and soothing voice greeted Sunny’s ear from the speaker. “Hello. Good evening, Miss Sunny. Do you still remember me? I’m Taeyeon, we’ve met at a café before.” “…” “Hello?” “Oh my God, my ovaries just exploded.” “Excuse me. What?” “Err… err… I’m sorry. I’m just… err… stunned with your call, Your Highness.” “Ehm… Okay.” “So… uhm… Anything I can help you with, Your Highness?” “Oh yeah, that.” Taeyeon cleared her throat. “Tomorrow I will be at your office and I will be searching for the artists to perform at my sister’s anniversary ball and also for the tourism
commercials. But it would be an honor for me if Miss Tiffany Hwang could actually work with me on the two events. Since you are the manager, I suppose we could…” “Oh yes, we could do everything, Your Highness.” The short girl bit her lip realizing her ambiguity. “I mean I can fit the events into Tiffany’s schedules.” “Great. Thank you. We will talk more about this tomorrow, but please don’t tell Miss Tiffany yet.” “Will do. Anything else I could help?” “Uhm… What’s Miss Tiffany’s favorite food?” “Eh?” Sunny was confused with the question. “She likes American foods, and recently, she likes Unagi don.” “I see. Unagi Don. Alright. Thank you very much, Miss Sunny.” “Your welcome, Your Highness.” Right before the manager hung up the phone, Taeyeon spoke again. “Wait, how about you? What’s your favorite food, Miss Sunny?” “I’d like to eat you, Your Highness. Wait I mean, I like everything from you, food, anything.” “O…kay… Well then, I’ll see you tomorrow. Thank you, again.” --Taeyeon looked at Sooyoung after she punched the red button on Sooyoung’s phone. “Do the chef still have eels to cook?” She handed the phone back to the owner. “Unagi Don? Way to impress a girl with your cooking.” The assistant grinned. “I’ll check on them, Unnie.” The tall girl was about to step out the palace when she heard her boss called.
“Just do it tomorrow. I’ll cook early in the morning. Get rest Sooyoung-ah, we’ll have a long day.” Taeyeon patted her dongsaeng’s shoulder. “Yes, Unnie.” “Thank you, by the way.” The Prince smiled. “My pleasure.” --Taeyeon woke up really early that day. She was very determined to steal her favorite singer’s attention with her best forte, cooking. She was also very gritty to prepare everything from the scratch by herself, even though she had told Sooyoung to help her the day before. Hence, there was the Prince, lurking around in the Main Palace’s kitchen to grab some ingredients to make the best Unagi Don Tiffany had ever tasted. The short girl then went back to her own place to start cooking the dish. She set up everything with love and full passion. She poured her feelings onto the cooked meal and secretly prayed that somehow her plans would work. At the final stage, she wrapped up the dish in two very pink meal-boxes she could found in the palace, one for the singer and one for her helper, or we also known as the singer’s manager. Taeyeon looked at the neat tied boxes and smiled contently. “Like me back, Tiffany Hwang.” She spelled the dishes. “So those are for Tiffany Hwang.” Taeyeon jumped in her place, shocked when she heard the voice. “Sica!” She hissed. “Sorry, I was just curious when someone’s snooping around in the kitchen at 5 a.m.” The Crown Princess grinned, holding a white bowl. “W-well…” The Prince tried to find a same thing to accuse her sister’s wife. “What are you doing there early in the morning? That also counted as snooping.”
Jessica rubbed her belly with her free hand. “Your baby niece was hungry, I took the cereal.” She showed her bowl’s content. “So what’s up with giving free meal for the singer?” Taeyeon went speechless again. “I… uhh…” She scratched her head. “You try to steal her heart with your food, seasoned with love, passion, devotion, compassion, what else?” The pregnant mother paused. “Desperation?” She laughed. The Prince deflated. “Stop mocking me.” “Sorry Taeyeon-ah. People are just too cute when they are falling in love.” Jessica giggled. “Well then, I should stop teasing you and get back before Yuri wakes up. Good luck with your heart-stealing-action, okay? See ya.” “Bye…” Taeyeon watched her sister-in-law left her place. She somehow felt her mood boasted when she heard the ‘good-luck’ wishes although maybe it was only a joke for Jessica, but still she felt appreciated. “Hwaiting Kim Taeyeon!” She cheered for herself before going inside her bedroom to get ready. --As it planned, Taeyeon went to Tiffany’s management office building with Sooyoung with a train. She purposely chose to use that way since, first, she felt more comfortable using the subway rather than a long, traffic jam creator, march of cars to send her to the place. Second, it was one of the ways to prove to the singer that she was not a spoiled rich kid. A huff and the Prince noticed it. “Hang in there, Sooyoung-ah. Almost there.” “I want to, but your fangirls are…” Sooyoung gestured a group of young girls started to gather around them with their camera phones hanging in the air, capturing every blink of the Prince’s movement. Taeyeon smiled and waved to the crowd before greeted. “Hello.” That simple word came out from her could send a lot of girls went blushed, dizzy, and even fainted.
The train ride continued and the two, Taeyeon and Sooyoung could get out safely from there, despite all of the protests of why the Prince left them too early. “Syoung-ah, call Miss Sunny and tell her that we are close.” “Yes, Unnie.” --“Omo omo omo.” Sunny faced the mirror in the comforting room. “You can do this, Sunny-ah.” She balled her fists and said that statement while staring at her own reflection. “Don’t embarrass yourself today. Hwaiting!” Yes, the short manager had just hung up her phone and got the news that her dear Prince was nearing her office. “What are you doing?” “Gosh, Fany! Don’t surprise me like that.” Tiffany just came out from a stall in the bathroom. “I did not. You were just too absorbed with your pep talk.” “How’s the song listing? Finished?” Sunny changed the conversation topic. The singer went to one of the sinks and washed her hands while checking her make up whether it was still perfect or not. “Nope. Just taking a pee break. I should go back before producer oppa got mad for the second time today.” “It wasn’t my fault you were late. If you were not ogling over that stupid Toto—” “Yeah yeah. Save your preach for later, Lee Soonkyu.” Tiffany left the scene. The manager continued her pep talk for a few more minutes before a text message interrupted the session. It said that Kim Taeyeon was in front of the building. Sunny quickly dashed to the front door and caught a glimpse of a very tall slim girl with who it seemed her baby sister beside her. But from the body she already knew who it was.
Taeyeon was also noticed that someone came out from the building and she recognized the latter. The Prince immediately bowed and smiled before walking to the manager, followed by her assistant. “Hello, Miss Sunny.” Sunny went half awkward and half dazed while maybe a bit turned on with the sight of her dear Prince smiling before her. “Y-y-your… H-h-highness.” She bowed. “Call me Taeyeon, I’m just your business partner for today. And this is Choi Sooyoung, my sidekick.” Taeyeon introduced. “Y-yes. Lee Sunny.” Sunny nodded, addressing Sooyoung, but then she remembered to usher Taeyeon to a more proper place to talk about business. Taeyeon threw her glance around the place once they were inside. She easily found Tiffany’s pictures everywhere on the wall of the building along with other idols the company managed. “Do you run this joint?” She asked on their way to the meeting room. “Uh no. My uncle does. I’m just helping a bit here and there.” The Prince nodded. “Ah I see. So we’re going to meet your uncle?” “Uhm… not today, he’s in the US. But I had dropped some hints about our future coordination and so far he trusts me with that.” “Okay.” The three had arrived at a small meeting room just beside Sunny’s uncle’s office room. The short manager gestured the two to take a seat, but before that, Taeyeon managed to give her the meal boxes. “I uhm… I made these. For Miss Tiffany and you.” “Thank you, Your Highness.” “Taeyeon.”
“I-I mean… T-taeyeon.” Sunny balled her fists under the table, holding her not so clean thoughts of calling the Prince with the first name basis to not spell out from her mouth. “Much better. But please don’t tell Miss Tiffany about this, just tell her it’s from a fan.” “Sure. So let’s talk about business…?” “Let’s…” --Lee Sunny finished the meeting with the Prince smoothly. They had agreed about several artists from the management to contribute to promote the tourism and performed at the Crown Prince and Crown Princess anniversary party. Of course those two were including the Tiffany Hwang, the apple of Taeyeon’s eyes. The manager then went to her office room, holding the meal boxes the Prince had prepared, and found her singer already seated across her table, scribbling something on her notebook. “You’re done?” Tiffany turned her chair. “Yes. Already agreed to the songs for my new album.” She then noticed the bags on her manager’s hold. “What are those? I’m sensing a very strong pink aura from there.” “That’s because these are pink boxes.” Sunny placed them on her desk. “Some fan of yours recognized me and gave these two.” She explained while opening the lid and presenting the content. Actually Sunny was also surprised when she saw the neatly organized dish inside the box. It was just like those Unagi Don from expensive restaurant, but hell it was better, it made by the one and only Prince Kim Taeyeon. “Woooooowwww…” Tiffany was obviously impressed with the handy work. “I bet my fan is a chef.” She quickly grabbed the spoon from inside the bag and dug in. “Oh my God.” She said after the taste test.
“What? Why? Tell me Fany-ah!” “This is the best Unagi Don I’ve ever had in my life!” The singer scooped more of the food into her mouth. “I wish I was the one who met this person.”
8: Kept in Sight “Another rice set?” Tiffany asked after she found yet another pink boxes in her manager’s office. It had been five days and the food sender never once stopped giving them food and every box Tiffany received contained with the sender’s clue. “What’s in it today… Hmm…” The singer smilingly unattached the ribbon and opened the first lid to find a stack of rose. She picked it up. Sunny saw it. “Flower? That’s new.” Tiffany shrugged. “A romantic person, I guess. Oh well, let’s see another box.” She opened another lid and it filled with pink cheesecake. “So you have a caring, romantic, sweet fan who is also happened to be a chef. Lucky you.” Sunny pretended to not knowing who was the one sending those yummy dishes. She kept writing on the white board about the upcoming schedule for Tiffany. “Us, Sunny-ah.” The singer corrected. “He made some for you too. I wanted to marry someone like this.” She said dreamily. “Next time he gives you the food, please tell me. I wanted to meet him personally.”
The manager secretly pursed her lips into a smile when she heard about her singer wanted to marry the ‘fan’ but then she shrugged. “It’s a she. And well, I can’t promise that.” “Why?” “What do you mean why?” Sunny turned to her best friend. “Anyway, read your next schedules and please just suck it up, I can’t change anything about that.” Tiffany read the writings on the whiteboard while eating the pink cheesecake. She then sent glares to her manager. “Just told you to suck it up.” Sunny casually replied as she took her part of cheesecake. The singer loudly exhaled. “Fine. A commercial and singing two songs for the Prince won’t hurt.” “It will be an honor to sing for the Royal Family, you know.” “I’m aware of it, Sunny.” “Well, to brighten up your mood, let’s go dress shopping today.” --Kwon Yuri let out a bored sigh after her wife re-enter the changing room in their palace for the nth time. That was a tiny part of Jessica that she wished the woman she loved could change. Earlier on, Sica was dragging Yuri just right after she left the meeting room at her mother’s. Why? Because for the Crown Princess, the Crown Prince was the only one who could be the judge for her fashion style, and since they were about to have an anniversary party she thought that she could make her hubby happy by wearing what she chose for her. Actually, Yuri always loved what Jessica wear because the latter would always be the most beautiful woman in her eyes. Another fact, Yuri hated waiting so much, and this one could count as waiting.
The Crown Prince fidgeted on her seat while waiting her wife putting on another dress for their big night. She let out another sigh before finally called, “Baby…?” “Five seconds!” The tanned woman huffed her cheeks and threw her glance outside the window. She caught a glimpse of her half sister walking fast down through the garden to where she thought Taeyeon would be heading. “Got out again… Hmm…” But then a voice interrupted her from the thoughts. “Seobang.” Yuri turned her head. “Yes.” Her jaw dropped. “What about this?” Jessica was wearing a mini sparkly dress with long tail of fabric strapped on it. It was revealing so much skin. Crown Prince’s eyes passed the ankle, up to the smooth thighs, next to the curvy waist of her wife, and stopped at the breasts that would be ripped of the upper part of the dress sooner or later. “B-b…” She was speechless. “That’s flattering but I need you to focus on things other than my boobs. So?” “Absolutely not. I don’t want the entire nation to look at your yummy boobs. Go change.” “Okay.” Jessica turned her heels and went inside the walk-in closet again. “Baby, do you happen to know where Taeyeon had been for the past days?” Yuri asked. “I think she went to the singer’s office to give her lunch boxes or something. Why?” “She ditched meetings with the ministers just to be a delivery girl?” The Crown Princess got out again after a few minutes. “That was why I asked you to do something about it.” She twirled around. “How about this?” The husband took a good look at her wife. “This is good. Baby you look great in everything.”
“That means you are bored with helping me choosing the right dress.” “Noooo…” Yuri quickly denied. “I just… I still have other things to do.” Jessica pouted. “You’ll leave me, again?” “Promise I’ll be home early. You, be good, okay?” Yuri planted a kiss on her wife’s forehead. “Love you.” --Taeyeon played with her phone while waiting for Sunny’s text messages. She had been constantly contacting the manager to ask about what her favorite singer wanted to eat for the day. The Prince also always asked whether Tiffany liked her cooking’s or not, just like what she did today. She liked it, Taeyeon. Don’t worry. Thank you for today’s food. The short woman quickly typed a reply. What do you two want for tomorrow? Surprise us. :D Taeyeon smiled. “Sooyoung-ah!” She called out. “Yes, Unnie?” “What do you want to eat for tomorrow?” Sooyoung tilted her head to think. “Hmm… How about pasta?” “Pasta sounds great. Fettuccine?” “You just made my tummy growled. Whatever pasta you wanted to cook, Unnie.” The assistant grinned. “Did Miss Tiffany like your cheesecake?”
Taeyeon nodded. “Sunny just sent me a text about it.” “Why don’t you reveal yourself? I thought the whole point of this is to prove that you are not snotty to her?” The Prince leaned her back against the couch. She actually thought to give it directly to the singer from the first day, but then she decided to take another way. “I know. But I think this way is better. I wanted Tiffany to get a good impression of me, Chef Kim Taeyeon. Not me, Prince Kim Taeyeon.” “Why?” “Because I don’t really look at myself as a Prince. And I think a chef is easier to reach and love rather than a prince.” Sooyoung was digesting Taeyeon’s word and somehow felt the sincerity about it. “You should’ve said that to her you know.” “Maybe later. Anyway, did my sister look for me today?” The taller girl shook her head. “Prince Yuri was busy with Princess Jessica. And I think you shouldn’t skip another meeting, Unnie, it’s risky.” “I know I know. I’ll attend tomorrow’s meeting then I’ll deliver the lunch box afterwards.” “Yes you should attend tomorrow’s meeting.” A stern voice came out from the door. Sooyoung quickly turned around and bowed while Taeyeon quickly sat up straight. “Where have you been? Part-timing as a delivery girl?” Yuri was unleashing her serious mode. “I… yeah… Sorry…” “Umma was covering for you earlier of the day. You do know that she’s not really well to attend long meetings like such. Act more like you should, Taeyeon-ah.”
Taeyeon could only lowered her head when the Crown Prince scolded her. “Yes, I’m sorry Yuri.” “Look I’m not angry because you’re trying to get the girl you love, it’s your rights, but you should know your priority, Taeyeon-ah.” Yuri softened her voice. “I know. I’m sorry.” “Just… don’t skip more meetings and make Umma more suffered.” “Okay.” The Crown Prince then turned to Sooyoung. “Don’t let her go without coming to the meeting, you got me?” “Y-y-yes, Your Highness.” Sooyoung bowed. --The next day, Taeyeon fulfilled her promise and went to the morning discussion with the ministers along with Yuri until it finished. Then she hastily rushed to her palace to cook what she had planned the night before. After all, it was another day for her to woo her girl by her cooking. It was nearing lunchtime; the Prince calculated the time in her mind and thought she could finish everything by then. “Sooyoung! Get me pink lunch boxes!” She shouted once she stepped in her palace, heading to the kitchen. “Done, Unnie.” “Great, would you help me rinse and chop these?” She pointed at the veggies she just took out from the fridge. Sooyoung nodded and proceeded to her task. ---
Sunny was checking her watch every ten seconds, getting worried of the Prince since she hadn’t got any news from the latter. It was a bit unusual because Taeyeon would always give her headups and because it was nearing the lunchtime when Taeyeon usually had arrived. Tiffany, on the other hand, was also actually waiting for her so called fan that used to give her yummy food although she had to start working on recording her new album. She was expecting another surprise from the mysterious person. “Tiffany, ready for take two?” The singer quickly gathered her focus back. “Yes, Oppa.” “Alright…” The producer signaled the music to start. Just then, a text message came to Sunny’s inbox. It was from Taeyeon, telling that she was on her way and would be there in less than 15 minutes. The manager unconsciously grinned. She texted back saying okay to the Prince. The short woman then went to the ground floor to wait for Taeyeon’s presence. Less than 15 minutes later, Taeyeon appeared alone, panting so hard. Apparently she was leaving Sooyoung at the train station because the tall girl deemed that she was not a best runner. And since the Prince needed to be fast, she decided to go alone, catching the lunch break of Tiffany. “Hhhh… Ho… hope… I… I’m not late… hhh…” Taeyeon handed the neatly wrapped boxes and then clung onto the nearest table while catching her breath. Meanwhile Sunny was again having a not so clean thought by seeing a panting and sweat dripping Taeyeon. “Yummy…” She unconsciously said, biting her lips. Taeyeon looked up. “Hmm?” “Yum—food yummy. Yes.” “Oh. I hope so.”
“Do you want to rest in my room for a bit?” “Ah yes. Good idea. I need to wait for Sooyoung too.” The manager guided the Prince towards her office room, then she gave her a bottle of water after Taeyeon seated on one of the couches. “Where’s Sooyoung?” She asked. “I left her at the station. But I think she’s on the way here with taxi. Where’s Tiffany?” “She’s at… uhh… recording studio.” Sunny said while unwrapping one of the boxes. “Fettuccini Carbonara! Yumssss. Thank you so much.” “You are very welcome.” Taeyeon smiled. “So I’m expecting a new album from Tiffany. Bet it would be wonderful.” “Crossing fingers, I hope the same too.” Sunny said while gesturing the statements. The two continued their conversation for a while until the Prince felt her phone vibrated, it was from Sooyoung, the tall girl said that she was in front of the building. That could only mean one thing, Taeyeon had to go home. She bid her goodbye to Sunny after confirming the date for her to work with Tiffany for the commercial. The petite Prince put on her cap and headed to the door. One thing she didn’t know was that a pair of eyes watching her from the stairs. “What is that spoiled Prince doing in here?” --“Taeyeon went out again?” A nod. “Where to today?” “The S.M Entertainment building.”
“Again? To meet the singer?” A nod. “It’s been a week. Never let her out of your sight. And please trace Tiffany Hwang’s background for me.” “Will do.” A bow then a person left the room.
9: Stolen After her encounter, well actually after Tiffany saw Taeyeon walked outside her office, she began to question her manager regarding the matter. The action irked her curiosity and Sunny’s answers were not exactly satisfying to her judgment. For the following days, she had caught the petite Prince headed outside her office around her lunchtime. From there, she got a hunch that Taeyeon was doing something else then just a mere meeting with Sunny. But today, Tiffany refrained herself to interrogate her best friend. Because they had been busy to prepare their selves for the Crown Prince and Crown Princess’s anniversary party. The singer had gone to the venue to do the sound check and rehearsal for her performance since morning. Of course her beloved manager would be there as well. And too much for her surprise, the short Prince was actually handling things on her own.
Taeyeon was more than willing to watch and control over the flow of tonight’s celebration. She wanted the best for her sisters that was why she volunteered herself to be one of the event organizer’s crews. Second excuse was she could actually come near her favorite singer. Anyway, back to Tiffany, she was singing one of love songs that deemed suitable for the occasion while still eyeing Taeyeon with her eyes. She had been followed the latter’s movement ever since she saw her came in, walking near to the stage. The eye-smiling woman took a mental note when she saw Taeyeon was happily chatting with Sunny, indicating their closeness. The singer closed her eyes reaching the climax of her song, but when she opened those beautiful orbs, she found that her best friend was gone, along with the Prince. Finally Tiffany’s turn came to an end. The singer grabbed the opportunity to run down from the stage as fast as possible to search for her manager. “Excuse me, do you happen to see my manager?” She asked one of the stage crews. The person pointed the direction Sunny went to. “Thanks.” Tiffany fastened her steps through the alley of the backstage to the waiting rooms the palace had provided. She went too fast to care about her surroundings, until her killer heel tripped over a cable. A sharp pain stung on her ankle that caused the singer to yelped loudly. “Fany?” Sunny went out from the room when she heard the familiar voice. She found her best friend on the floor, in the edge of cry, holding painfully to her left leg. “Fany!” She immediately ran to the person sitting on the floor in pain. “Somebody get me a basin of warm water please.” Taeyeon managed to ask someone before also running to her favorite singer. She was beyond worried. When people saw the Prince was approaching the sitting girl, they quickly made a way. In a split second, Tiffany was on Taeyeon’s back and was also heading to her waiting room. “Here you go.” Taeyeon gently laid down Tiffany to a couch and kneeled down in front of her. She held up the injured ankle and put it on her lap, removed the high heel, and massaged the swollen part attentively. “Does it hurt?”
The beautiful singer could only nodded her head while biting her lip, enduring the pain. “Your Highness, your water…” “Thanks.” Taeyeon then softly put Tiffany’s leg in the basin. “Warm water helps the blood flow and reduces the pain instead of ice.” She explained, smiling on the way. “We should go to the hospital to get this checked.” She said while still massaging the injured ankle. Silently and slowly the Prince’s attentive and caring side touched Tiffany. “But… I have to perform tonight.” The Korean-American couldn’t help her professional ethics. Taeyeon looked up. “Your healthy is more important than anything.” “Prince Taeyeon is right, Fany-ah.” Sunny added. “That’s a call for you to get the car, Sooyoung-ah.” “Yes, Your Highness.” --Tiffany was set for series of check ups. Starting from the general check up, to the x-ray, and finally the last stage with the orthopedist. Of course, the Prince was beside her along the way. From that, the singer was actually started to change her point of view towards the latter. She was not bad at all. She thought. “It was just a sprained ankle, no fracture, no torn tissue. The bad news is that Miss Hwang can’t walk or put pressure on her left leg for a couple of weeks or maybe more.” The doctor explained while scribbling something. “You can get your prescription right there.” Taeyeon, Tiffany, and also Sunny exhaled in relief. “Thanks doctor.” Taeyeon said. “You’re very welcome, Your Highness.”
The singer checked her wristwatch. “We can go back to the palace and still performing for tonight.” “But your leg, Fany.” Her manager protested. “My voice is not broken, I can sing while sitting, we can change the stage arrangement, can’t we?” Tiffany looked at Taeyeon as if she asked for her permission. Obviously the Prince couldn’t say no. “Of course. I’ll tell the organizer.” --Yuri peeled her lips off of her wife’s lips. “Time out!” Her lungs were desperately needed air because a certain Ice Princess had been sucking up the reserve from there. Hearing the shout, Jessica whined. “Whyyyyyyy???” “I need to breathe, Umma. So is our baby.” Yuri said, still gasping for air. “Plus, we haven’t worked on our announcement.” “Hey, you guys are ought to wait for the new royal family member, because the Crown Prince got me freaking preggers.” Sica said with a monotone voice. “There.” The Crown Prince chuckled. She lovingly poked her wife’s nose. “That’s not really nice, but it does have a good point.” “See. Now can we back to where we left off please? It’s our anniversary.” Jessica batted her eyelashes in a way to seduce her hubby. “Baby, you’ve locked us up in this room for more than 12 hours now. I need food, so are you.” “But I’m having a great protein supply from you.”
“That’s not counted as proper food. Come on. Five minutes break won’t hurt, besides, I need to check on my sister on the rehearsal.” Yuri was getting up from bed and wearing back her scattered clothes on the floor. The shorter woman pouted. Feeling that there was no reaction from her wife, the tanned woman tuned her body around. “Baby… Come on. Please?” She pleaded, attacking with a pair of puppy eyes that the Crown Princess would never reject. Jessica was still not giving any reaction. “I’ll do you good after I eat.” “Promise?” “Crossing my heart. Now come on, give me the key please.” Yuri held her hand, asking Jessica to put the key on it. And she did. The Crown Princess was also getting dressed to follow her hubby outside. She was very determined to be a super clingy wife for today, although she was also acted that way on a daily basis. --Still in their lovey-dovey mode, Yuri and Jessica finished their lunch with so much more hands activity under the table. Then as planned, the taller woman headed out their palace to search for her half sister. “Where is Prince Taeyeon?” She asked one of the guards in Taeyeon’s palace. “She’s at the Eastern Yard from morning, Your Highness.” “Oh…” The tanned goddess turned her head to her wife. “Do you want to go there?” Jessica immediately shook her head. “No, it’s too hot out there.”
“Okay. Let’s go back then.” “Yuri, Sooyeon…” The Queen halted their steps. The Crown Prince and Crown Princess bowed in instant when they saw their mother. “Your Majesty.” They greeted in unison. “Happy anniversary.” The Queen smiled and reached the couple to embrace them in a warm hug. “Thank you, Umma.” “Thank you, Omoni.” “You two missed the breakfast with me.” The mother said once she let go the pair. But then she noticed the marks of why the two didn’t join her in the morning. “Ah… I see.” She said, giggling too. The couple blushed. “Hey, I understand, it’s your special day. How’s my daughter in law feeling today? Morning sick?” “Fortunately not today, Omoni. I’m fine so far.” “Good. Where is your sister? She missed the breakfast too.” “The guard just told me that Taeyeon went to the venue from morning, Umma. I think she wants to help to handle everything for tonight.” Yuri answered. The Queen understood. “Well, I guess, I need to go back to my place to get ready. I’ll see you two later.” --Tiffany opened her eyes once she was done with her song and showed her beautiful eye-smile. She bowed from her seat to respect the Royal Family before her. “Congratulations for Crown
Prince and Crown Princess anniversary. And thank you for the opportunity for me to sing here. It’s a great honor. I hope Prince Yuri and Princess Jessica would last forever.” Yuri and Jessica replied with a nod and a smile from their seats. Seconds later, the Crown Prince stood up while holding her champagne glass, turning to the other crowd and flashing cameras behind her. She smiled as she gently pulled her beautiful wife to stand up beside her as well. The handsome heir to the throne clinked her glass with a spoon, gesturing that she wanted to say something. She cleared her throat. “I would like to thank every single one of you who participate and congratulate us on this very lovely occasion.” She paused, glancing the audience, which were consists of the ministers and some reputable figures in society, and also the press. “And there is another thing we would like to announce. I thank God that my lovely, beautiful wife is pregnant.” The tanned woman showed her perfect teeth through a wide smile. The crowd cheered up after they heard their Hwangtaeja’s statement. --Taeyeon sneakily went to the backstage and headed to the performers’ waiting rooms hall after she finished her dinner and greeted some of the guests. She wanted to see Tiffany and check on her, also give her a pair of crutches to help the singer to walk. The Prince arrived in front of a door which written the eye-smiling Princess’s name on it. She knocked several times before finally the manager opened it for her. “Hi Sunny.” “Taeyeon, come in.” “Thanks.” Taeyeon slipped herself in inside the room and quickly found her favorite idol. She went to her side. “Hi.” The petite Prince showed her adorable smile. “Hi…” Tiffany didn’t know why her cheeks warmed up all of the sudden. Taeyeon kneeled down again and held her ankle up, so she could see the injury. “Are you okay? Does it still hurt?”
“N-n-not as painful as before.” Tiffany answered. “Great.” The Prince carefully put down the injured leg and stood up to present her gift to the singer. “I figured that you might need these.” She handed the crutches to Tiffany. The Prince caring side touched the taller woman again. “T-thank you.” “You’re welcome. Do you want to try it?” Tiffany nodded. Then the Prince helped her to stand up and to put the crutches in a comfortable way the singer use. One thing that she didn’t notice was how red Tiffany cheeks were when the shorter woman’s face was dangerously close to the taller own. Tiffany was aware that her heart was thumping so fast but then again she didn’t know exactly why. “I-I got it, uhm… Taeyeon.” “Oh yeah, right.” Taeyeon let go of Tiffany’s body from her protective arms. “Well, I guess you’re okay. So I’ll just go back to my family.” She grinned. “Get well soon, Tiffany.” The Prince turned her heels towards outside and left the room. “Y-yes. Thank you.” “You’ve got a major blushing~~” Sunny teased once they were alone again. “Tiffany likes Prince Taeyeon~” The manager sang the words. “Shut up!” But then the short Prince went back inside the room, holding two pink boxes. “Since I had to go with you to the hospital today, I didn’t get the chance to give this. Hope you like it.” She smiled. Tiffany’s eyes widened. That was when she realized why Taeyeon had spent so much time during the lunch hour in her office. “You are…”
“Yes, I am.” Taeyeon cut off and grinned. “Well, I really got to go now. I’ll see you around.” “Thanks Taeyeon.” Sunny said before the Prince left while Tiffany left baffled. “She… She…” Tiffany was lost at her words. “She is the person you wanted to marry! Ha!” Sunny teased again then laughed. “See, she’s not bad. Not bad at all. She’s smart, beautiful, a great cook, not to mention caring…” As the manager went on praising her Prince, Tiffany found herself drowned in the charm of Taeyeon. “Yeah…” “… and you like her.” “I do…” Tiffany said unconsciously.
10: Closer “You can stop hugging the crutches, you know.” A short chestnut haired girl spoke after she saw her best friend did what she just accused. Tiffany quickly put aside the sticks she got from the Prince. “I was not hugging them.” “Yeah, right.” Sunny lightly commented, fully knowing that the latter was just denying her words. “By the way, I have cancelled all of your schedules for the whole 2 weeks to get you cured first.”
The singer’s suddenly turned into a wide grin. She also clapped her hands excitedly after she heard that her busy schedules were cleared. “Yay! Holiday!” Seeing her best friend was a bit overjoyed, Sunny interrupted. “But you can’t go anywhere. You, missy, are stuck in here.” The wide grinned wiped away with a frown. “Why?” “What do you mean why? Have you looked at your elephant foot lately, Miss Hwang? You’re badly injured you can’t use your leg. Hence, you’ll be here.” “With you?” The shorter girl rolled her eyes. “Duh, I’m your roommate. But I still need to go to the office from time to time and get us something to eat.” The frown went worse as the words came out. “Then I’ll be lonely, Sunny-ah. Don’t leave me.” “Don’t worry, I’ll call a babysitter to watch over you while I’m gone.” The short girl ended the sentence with a smirk. “Then I suppose you have to go now?” The manager nodded. “Yep. Uncle needs me. You be good here, I’ll be home at 3.” The eye-smiling princess pouted, hoping that her best friend would melt and stay at the apartment with her. Obviously, the moue didn’t affect the short girl. --Hours later, Tiffany got really bored in her house. Watching TV, listening to her ipod, playing games in her ipad, magazine flipping, and Internet browsing were not helping to ease her dullness. She texted her roommate a couple of times, but she got no reply from the latter. She wanted to chat with her friends, but she knew that they probably busy as heck.
The singer huffed. Just when the things seemed to be worse, a hero came to the rescue. “T-T-Taeyeon?” Tiffany was surprised to see the Prince standing on top of her doormat. The charming woman grinned. “Hi, I brought you lunch!” She showed the familiar pink box. The singer seemed to be rooted on her feet, did not exactly know what she supposed to do since she was still shocked by the bombshell. Seeing this, Taeyeon initiatively said, “Err… can I come in?” “O-oh… right. Come in…” Tiffany moved back a few steps to let Taeyeon in. “Wow, you have a beautiful home, Tiffany.” Praised the Prince while she stepped inside the apartment. “Thank you.” The singer said timidly. “So uhm… let me put that in the dining room.” She mentioned the lunch box. “No no no. You’ll just sit back and relax. I’ll do everything for you.” Once again, the shorter woman showed her attractive smile. Those tiny lips always successfully made Tiffany’s cheeks blushed and Tiffany’s heart skipped a beat. As what Taeyeon asked, the eye-smiling girl obliged. She sat down on the couch and watched her Prince rummaged around her apartment to set up her lunch. Tiffany couldn’t help to admire more about Taeyeon’s kind-hearted deed. “I made you unagi sushi and unagi rolls, hope you like it.” The Prince put the dishes she had cooked onto the coffee table in front of the injured girl.
“Whuaaaa… Unagiiii~” The taller woman’s lips broke into a very beautiful smile. “Thank you.” She took one of the sushi and put it in her mouth. Taeyeon stared at the eating girl she adored so much, biting her lips, hoping that the girl would like her cooking this time. “Yum~” “I’ll take that as you like it.” Tiffany cutely nodded. “You are very good in cooking.” “Thanks…” The Prince’s eyes then wandered to the swollen ankle. “How’s your ankle? Still hurts?” “Yeah…” Taeyeon let out a sigh. Worried sigh. “I’ll get warm water for your leg, okay?” “Ehm… T-Taeyeon… Don’t worry. I’m fine.” “That doesn’t look fine to me. Just wait here and eat, I’ll just find a tub and your bathroom.” The Prince quickly moved to do what she had planned in her mind before the singer could protest further. Tiffany left yet again in awed for Taeyeon’s yet another caring attitudes. And she found herself yet to oblige the shorter girl’s words. She couldn’t move anyway, so it best to enjoy the prepared meal. A few minutes later, Taeyeon went back with a basin of warm water. She gently held and put Tiffany’s swollen ankle in it and massaged it carefully. “Tell me if I hurt you.” With reddened cheeks, Tiffany nodded her head. “Thanks…” Taeyeon looked up and meet a pair of beautiful orbs. “You’re welcome, Tiffany.” She smiled.
“So… uhm… don’t you have something else to do?” The singer tried to open a conversation. “Hmm?” “You know… I mean, Prince Yuri and Princess Jessica seem to always attend a lot of events around Korea so I figured that you might be like them.” “Oh… I do actually. I have to record a new tourism commercial, but the main star is currently injured. So… yeah…” “Sorry.” “Accident happens, Tiffany. We wouldn’t have known that you would sprained your ankle.” Tiffany found herself agree to that statement. “Besides, you grant me a free week.” Taeyeon grinned. “I heard that you’re recording a new album?” “Ye—OW!” Apparently the Prince put too much force on that one. “Oops. Sorry sorry sorry.” She softened her massage. “So…?” “Yeah. Still working at one song though.” “Can’t wait to hear your new album. You can say that I’m your biggest fan.” Tiffany chuckled. “Then I expect that you’ll buy my album later.” “Definitely.” Taeyeon grinned. “How’s your ankle now? Better?” She peeled her hands off of the injured area. Tiffany nodded. “A bit. Thank you.”
“Just let your leg dips for a bit longer.” The Prince looked around to find something to dry her hands. “Here. I’ll help.” The singer took a couple plies of tissue and wiped the soaked hands. This time, Taeyeon was the one who flustered from the contact. “Err… Okay… Thanks…” “My pleasure, Taeyeon.” Tiffany showed her perfect eye-smile. --“Good afternoon, my lady.” Yuri greeted her wife who was just woken up from her slumber. Jessica sweetly smiled before landed her body on her hubby’s lap. “Where were you this morning? You left me.” She pouted. The Crown Prince couldn’t help but to kiss the cute pout. “I was with Umma. You missed me?” The Crown Princess nodded. “Our baby too!” “Aww…” The tanned woman rubbed the fair skinned’s belly. “Have you eaten?” “Nope. I threw all up after I ate and just laid down on the bed.” “My poor baby. Sorry, I didn’t know your morning sick attack. How’s your feeling now?” Yuri took strands of Jessica’s hair and stuck it behind the latter’s ear to get a good look on her wife. “I’m okay now that you are here.” The Princess snuggled against her Prince. “Good. Now let’s get something to eat. I’m starving.” “Can we eat in the living room? I don’t feel like going to the dining hall.” “Anything for you, baby.”
As planned, the royal couple enjoyed their lunch in the living room while watching TV. Everything was at calm, until something popped up on the screen. “Tiffany Hwang was spotted leaving a hospital together with, who we’re suspected, Prince Kim Taeyeon yesterday. Our source told that apparently the singer had an accident after rehearsing for the Palace’s party. The question is now, what is happening between these two very special individuals?” “That kid…” Yuri mumbled. “She’s so careless.” Jessica commented. “It will cause a big sensation.” “I know. Oh God…” The Crown Prince massaged her temples, forecasting what would she expect in the future with that. “I can’t let Umma know about this. I’ll brief the entire crew.” --“Do you need something else?” Taeyeon asked. Tiffany shook her head. “No, not in the moment.” “Okay…” The petite Prince took a seat beside the eye-smiling Princess. She didn’t know what to say and left it for the awkward silence to grow between them. “So…” They said at the same time. “You first.” Taeyeon initiated. The singer cleared her throat, ready to let the words come out from her mouth, but it didn’t happen. Taeyeon waited for a moment and understood that might be Tiffany was a bit shy, so she thought about something that might help to ease the awkwardness. “Let’s play 20 questions.” She said. “Eh?” “That’s one from you. I said, let’s play 20 questions. You can ask anything you want to know about me and I’ll do the same thing to you. How?”
“Okay. Oh, that’s one from you as well.” Tiffany grinned. “How old are you?” “25. Why do you want to be a singer?” “I’m happy when I sing.” The singer showed her eye-smile. “You don’t seem to be 25, I thought you are younger than I am.” Taeyeon chuckled. “Take that as a compliment. Thank you.” Tiffany couldn’t help but to smile along. “My next question. Hmm… How does it feel like to be a royal family member, a Prince?” “That’s a good question.” Taeyeon scratched her head. “Uhm… It’s… suffocating.” “Why?” “Hold your horses, young lady. My turn first.” Tiffany shyly nodded. “Ah right. Sorry.” “What thing on earth do you like the most?” “I like everything in pink.” The taller girl answered shortly. “Everything in pink, okay.” So I have to paint myself pink for you to like me? “My answer to your why, it’s suffocating to be a Prince because I’m tied down to a set of rules and regulations. Every single person in this country is watching every move I make. I’m demanded to be a perfect figure for everyone. It’s not fun to be a Prince.” “But you get to get everything you want.” “Yes, but then it will become a power abuse. I don’t like such thing. Just because I’m a Prince I can't violate someone’s rights to get what I want, right?” Tiffany found herself to adore more of the person sitting next to her. “Right.”
Taeyeon briefly smiled before continuing the game. “Why do you choose to live here? I mean, your family are mostly abroad.” “Actually I kind of ran away from them to pursue my dream. You chose to live abroad too before, right?” “Yeah, for the same reason with what you’ve just said.” “And that would be…?” “A…” “Wait, let me guess, a chef?” Taeyeon nodded while grinning. “Correct.” “Why?” “Because I’m happy when I cook…?” “Don’t copy my answer!” “Why? You don’t have a copyright for that.” Taeyeon stuck her tongue out. “I can copy anything you say.” Tiffany pinched Taeyeon’s arm by reflex. “Tease.” Taeyeon laughed. “Sorry. My turn.” The Prince looked at her watch and realized she had to go home. “Do you want to meet me tomorrow?” Is she just asked me for a date? The thought made Tiffany’s cheeks warmed up again. “I mean I can cook you another lunch and be here tomorrow at the same time, since Sunny told me that you might need someone to accompany you if that’s okay with you, that is.”
“Oh yeah… right.” Now the singer got it why her best friend smirked when she mentioned about babysitter. “I… Ilikethat.” “Come again?” “I said I like that.” Tiffany said in the middle of her burning cheeks. Taeyeon mentally did a fist pump. “What do you want to eat tomorrow?” “Anything will do.” The Prince nodded. “Okay then. Uhmm… I gotta go home now before everyone in the Palace realized that I’m missing.” Tiffany was a bit disappointed when she heard about that. She didn’t want the good time come to an end yet. But she couldn’t do anything about it. “Okay… Same time tomorrow?” “Yep. Don’t walk me to the door. I can go there alone. Just rest here. I’ll see you tomorrow.” The Prince smiled. “Taeyeon…” Tiffany called. “Yeah?” Taeyeon turned her head. That was when the singer reached out and hugged the Prince. “Thank you for today.” “Y-y…” Taeyeon gulped. “You’re welcome.”
11: Kissing You Taeyeon had constantly visited Tiffany and brought her lunch every single time she dropped by. She wanted to cherish every moment she had with the girl she had fallen for. And she was pretty sure that by now her favorite singer was heading to the same direction with her, judging from the numerous time she caught the taller girl blushed when she praised or said or do something sweet to her, the implied meaning behind every sentences the Korean-American had said, and the sad look from the eye-smiling girl when they had to bid goodbye. Although it had been just a week, the Prince was sure to step onto the next level. Official dates, maybe. “Unnie, you are so pink.” Said Sooyoung after she saw the girl who sat beside her in the car. “Thank you.” “I didn’t mean that as a compliment.” The Prince shrugged her shoulder. “Do I look good in pink?” “Err…” Sooyoung glanced for a second before returning her eyes back to the road. “You’re… catchy.” “What do you mean by catchy?” “You’ll attract a lot of people with that color.” “So Tiffany would be attracted by me? That’s good then.” Taeyeon proudly smoothen her new pink shirt. “You are whipped, Unnie.” “Coming from someone who tried to restrict her diet just because of a certain girl.” Teased Taeyeon.
The assistant admitted her defeat. “Anyway, what’s your plan today?” Sooyoung changed the topic. “I’ll ask her to spend sometime with me on a romantic date. How’s that sound?” “Pretty good. Try not to stutter or ramble when you ask her, Unnie.” “When was I stutter or ramble in front of her? Never.” “Every single time you asked her whether she wanted to see you the next day or not. It’s either you stuttered or rambled nonsense things.” “Really?” “A hundred percent sure.” “Yikes.” “Well, she keeps wanting you to comeback anyway.” “Ah yeah, right. Must be my undeniable charm.” The younger one refrained herself to gag on the over confident statement, but she couldn’t stop her eyes to roll about it. --The apartment’s doorbell rang and a certain eye-smiling Princess peered the intercom by reflex. She was very excited to meet her Prince since she woke up that morning. Hence, every buzz she heard, she quickly checked the intercom. “Must be Taeyeon and Sooyoung.” Sunny stood up from the couch to look at the small screen on the wall. “Yep, it’s them.” She confirmed once she got the look of the two familiar faces.
“I’ll get the door!” Tiffany cheerfully said while reaching to her crutches and headed to the door. She was smiling all the way until she held the doorknob. The singer twisted open and greeted by her favorite color. “Wow. Pink.” “You like it?” The person on the doormat asked. The apartment owner bobbed her head ups and downs. “Very.” “How about my shirt, Fany?” Sooyoung asked with a cute pout. “I like cartoon shirt too.” The singer said after she looked at the cartoon figure print on Sooyoung’s shirt. “Come on in.” Tiffany made a way for her guests to come inside. “Welcome, you two.” Sunny greeted as well. “You really bought that shirt?! Too cute, Sooyoungie.” The shortest girl pinched the tallest’s cheek. Sooyoung was grinning ear to ear. Taeyeon and Tiffany quickly interchanged glance, suspicious of the other two interactions. “Anyway, lunch for us. I made bacon pizza and chicken wings.” The Prince held up the bags which were contained their meals. “Bacon pizzaaaa! Please move in with us, Your Highness.” The manager said with glittering eyes. She took one of the bags and walked to the dining room, followed by Sooyoung, who was also taking the rest of the bag in Taeyeon’s hands. “She loves bacon.” Tiffany commented. “I see.” Taeyeon nodded. “Let’s go to the dining room then, do you need any help?” The older girl opened her arms, ready to support the younger one while walking. Tiffany blushed, that would be meant that Taeyeon would indirectly hug her. “I… I can… It’s fine. You got me the crutches.”
“Oh okay. But are you sure? Not everyone could get special treatment from the Prince, you know.” Taeyeon joked. Tiffany giggled in response. “I know. But I’m fine, Your Highness. Thank you for the offer.” “Can you two stop flirting and come here, please?” Sunny shouted from the dining room. --The lunch was passed with so much fun. But then Sooyoung and Sunny had mysteriously gone, left Taeyeon and Tiffany together in the house. “Are they like… together?” The singer asked. “Sooyoung and Sunny?” “Yep.” “I don’t know. All I know is Sooyoung really took Sunny’s words of advice and somehow literally actualized it.” “Sunny was talking about Sooyoung non-stop the other day.” “Really?” “They would make a cute couple though.” “I think so.” Taeyeon gathered up her courage to ask the following question. “Then… How about us? Would we make a cute couple too?” Tiffany’s heart was suddenly pounding so fast. She looked down at the floor at bit her lip. Her mind was shouting the word yes but she just couldn’t let it out through her throat. “I think we will make a good couple.” There again, the fruit of the Prince’s bravery. The petite girl turned her head to see the shy girl beside her. “But before we can be a cute couple, we should go on some dates, right?”
Tiffany timidly nodded. “Do you…” Taeyeon cleared her throat. “Do you by any chance want to go out with me sometime? On an official date I mean. We can go to see a movie, or maybe you want to eat at Namsan Tower, speaking of it, you can see the whole Seoul from—I’m rambling, aren’t I?” The singer giggled and nodded but still shy nonetheless. “Sorry…” The older girl showed her apologetic smile. She paused to ease her own nervousness. “So…?” “Sure.” Tiffany covered her face after she answered that. That made the Prince chuckled. “You’re so cute sometimes.” She let out a relieved sigh. “Phew… Thank you.” “Thank you too.” “Where do you think the best place to spend our first date later on?” The younger girl shrugged. “I… I like a quiet simple dinner, it doesn’t matter where the place should be, what does matter is… the companion.” She found herself blushing again from her own implied confession. “True.” Taeyeon smiled. “Let’s just wait until your ankle fully healed, then we’ll go on our date.” --“Unnie…” “Yes? What is it Sooyoung-ah?” “The news went wild on you and Tiffany.” The younger girl said as she read the news headlines on her tablet.
“Let them be. That’s their job.” Taeyeon casually said as she flipped another channel on TV. “I’m worried, Unnie, now that you’re about to go out with her on a date.” Sooyoung paused. “They will follow you around, you know.” “I know. That was why I chose a place far from their touch.” “Where?” “Here.” That made Sooyoung looked at Taeyeon in instant with her eyes wide open in shock. “Here? You mean our place? Here, the Jade Palace?” The shorter girl nodded, confirming the answer. “You do know that you can’t just bring anyone inside, right?” “She’s not anyone, Sooyoung. She’s your future sister-in-law.” The taller girl warned. “Unnie!” “Relax, Sooyoung-ah. I know and I got it under control, okay?” “How come I’d be relaxed? It’s like hiding a suspect of a murder crime, Unnie.” “I got it, okay. I already have a plan.” --A month had passed but Taeyeon and Tiffany hadn’t got the chance to spend their time in a romatic date as they planned before. As soon as the singer healed, she was required to work on her album recording since she already wasted two weeks of being idle and then the CFs shooting. Not to mention Taeyeon’s own busy schedules that hindered them to have a quiet simple dinner as Tiffany requested.
But that didn’t mean that the two lost their relationship. They were much more closer than ever. The Prince would always try to be beside her favorite singer every chance she could by going to the recording studio, or to the CF’s shooting studio, or anywhere that Tiffany would be. She would still cook and bring lunch for the eye-smiling Princess. That made Tiffany Hwang fell deeper into Kim Taeyeon’s charm. The endless caring, incessant loving, and persistent doting had made the younger girl’s feeling was growing strong towards the older one. Fany-ah~~ A text message from the person she had been waiting for came. Tiffany smiled as she typed a reply. Done with the museum opening, Your Highness? Yep. Sorry I sent Sooyoung to give you the lunch. How was it? Do you like it? Yes, it was great. I like the mini bread sticks. How was the museum? Very fun. Kidding. It was boring, what would you expect from a museum? Anyway, I’m about to pick you up, are you ready? Give me an hour. I’m still on my way home. Alrighty. I’ll see you later. “Taeyeon?” Sunny asked. Tiffany nodded. “Yes. She will pick me up in an hour.” “Right, the big date. Are you nervous?” “A bit, but I’m more excited than nervous.” “Probably a bunch of other unofficial dates had ease your tense.”
“Yeap.” The singer then remembered something. “Don’t you have a grand date with Sooyoung too?” “My shikshin is busy with your soon-to-be-girlfriend, remember?” “Right. I forgot that she works with Taeyeon.” --“You look very beautiful tonight.” The Prince admired her eye-smiling Princess. “Thank you. You are too.” Tiffany showed her eye-smile. “Are you ready?” “Yes. Where are we going, anyway?” --Taeyeon parked her car in the driveway. She quickly got out and dashed to the passenger side to open the door for her Princess. “Welcome to my place.” Tiffany couldn’t help but to admire the building. No one other than the member of Royal Family or people who work for them was allowed to step their feet inside, yet she was there with the Prince herself. “Wooooowww…” She breathed. Taeyeon only smiled. “Come on, I already cooked something for our dinner.” She guided Tiffany further into the designated place for their date. It was none other than the Prince’s back yard, which was magically turned into a restaurant with only a table surrounded by rose petals and candles. No, kidding, Taeyeon was the one who arranged and decorated the place. “I hope this is what came into your mind of a quiet simple dinner.” The younger girl looked at the person before her. “It way passed over it. I love this one better.” “You do?”
She nodded. Taeyeon let out yet again a relieved sigh. She then pulled out a chair and gestured Tiffany to sit before adjusting to right position for her. “Wait here, I’ll take the food.” The dinner went great even it exceeded Taeyeon’s expectation. The two was enjoying each other’s presence with a bit of flirting here and there. Nonetheless, it was perfect for the two. “How come I don’t see any other person here?” Tiffany suddenly asked, notice that there was no one other than Taeyeon and herself. They were now at the balcony gazing the stars and lighting Taeyeon had made with candles below them. “Since you wanted a quiet dinner, I asked them to leave and gather back again tomorrow.” “Oh…” “Why? Are you uncomfortable?” “No… I was just curious.” The singer sipped her wine. “And Sooyoung is…” “With Sunny at your place.” The Prince completed the sentence. “Ah I see. Anyway, thank you. I had a great time.” Taeyeon smiled. “Me too. Thank you for saying yes.” The two didn’t exchange any more words until, “Fany…” Taeyeon called softly. Apparently the older woman was examining the younger one’s feature from the side. That gentle tone made Tiffany nervous all of the sudden. “Yes?” The Prince locked her gaze at the singer. Starting from the inviting orbs, down to the pointy nose, and finally landed on the pair of plump pink lips. She was drowned to her beauty. Taeyeon gulped and lick her own lips, having an unspeakable urge to plant a kiss there. “Can I…” She leaned closer. “Can I…”
Seeing the shorter girl was slowly closing her gap, Tiffany found herself rooted in place, she was expecting the same thing too. She was also concentrated on how alluring Taeyeon’s lips were. “Can I ki… kiss you?” Taeyeon whispered as she stopped leaning in. Tiffany could feel the rhythmic hot breaths swept close to her skin. She nodded. With no hesitation, the Prince landed her lips against the singer’s. One peck. Two pecks. Three pecks. And then the kiss started to grow intense and needy between the two. In matter of seconds, Taeyeon found herself supporting Tiffany, who was clinging onto her by the waist. She walked back to her bedroom with the singer in tow.
12: Opened Heart and Eyes “Can I ki… kiss you?” Taeyeon whispered as she stopped leaning in. Taeyeon peeked the way as she trailed the kiss down to Tiffany’s neck. She was carefully and yet lustfully guided the younger girl to the room where she usually spent the nights alone. Tiffany on the other hand, was busy making noises when her Prince roamed and touched the right places. Little that she knew her raspy lecherous voice would excite the older girl up to
several notches. She was also managed to throw Taeyeon’s blazer and her shoes in the middle of the way. The two were finally made inside Taeyeon’s bedroom and the shorter girl gently landed the taller onto her soft mattress, still continuing their lip locking session. The Prince paused and opened her eyes, breathing heavily. She glued her forehead onto Tiffany’s own. That made the singer’s eyes also flustered open. She stared deep into the inviting dark orbs and found the answer to her question. Tiffany saw the same desire in Taeyeon’s eyes. She closed her eyes again and leaned upward to capture the plump lips by surprise, her handy fingers skillfully unbuttoned Taeyeon’s shirt while at it. The Prince was more than happy to oblige the action and helped to shrug the shirt off of her body, while her hand was also slipped to the singer’s back and blindly fished the zipper. Once she caught it by her fingers, Taeyeon slid down and opened Tiffany’s dress and bra. The older girl couldn’t help but to stare on the revealed skin and perfect assets the younger had. “You are… beautiful…” She admired. Tiffany rewarded the praise by more kisses and a squeeze on Taeyeon’s ram. The shorter girl glided her lips from the latter’s cheek, to the jawline, down to her neck, passed the cleavage and rested on the right pink nub. She tasted it and she loved the experience. Taeyeon couldn’t stop, she moved onto the other one and again, addicted to the savor. “Ahh…” Tiffany let out a moan while she felt nipples were being sucked by her date for the night. That whimpers fueled Taeyeon to explore more of the flawless body. She then again trailed the kisses to south, passing the toned abs, porcelain thighs, and stopped in front of he holy cavern. The Prince glanced up just to get a ‘go’ from the owner. She immediately drowned herself to the sweetest honey.
Tiffany was trashing to her left and right every time Taeyeon’s tongue hit the right spot. She also couldn’t hold back her long, low sound of venereal pleasure. She was trembling, her stomach was churning, and she knew she was nearing the satisfaction. A few minutes later, the singer arched her back up and shook while holding to a grasp of the Prince’s hair. She was flying to the seventh sky. But then many kisses brought her back from her trance. “I like the way you called my name.” Taeyeon whispered. “Hmmhh?” Tiffany was obviously still high. The older girl only replied with a peck on the forehead. She lied down beside the panting girl. After a few moments of silence, Tiffany finally spoke, “Your turn…” She smiled. “I… It’s fine, Fany-ah.” Too late, the singer was already climbed up and straddled Taeyeon’s hips. She pinned the latter’s hands above the heads and sensually licked her lips before devouring the Prince’s. It was the older girl’s chance to be titillated. Taeyeon couldn’t help but to surrender to the girl above her. She gave up everything, her lips, her neck, her chest, and importantly her heart for the girl she had fallen for. As she planting thousand kisses on the shorter girl’s body, Tiffany was also got to remove the remaining clothing items that clad onto the petite body. She was stunned the second she saw the wonderful figure. Taeyeon shivered went she felt the cold breeze brushed her skin. But a second later, the singer peppered her body with her warmth. That was when jolt of electricity spread along her spine. Apparently the younger girl already found her right position to grind her hips. She waved her body again and got the same reaction from the older girl and it seemed to be gratifying, so she continued the action.
Taeyeon let out a curse and flipped their body around. She was in charge again. The Prince held up one of the singer’s leg and found the best angle for them. The shorter girl sped up, that was when everything blinding to the both of them. The heaven was nearing. Tiffany was scratching Taeyeon’s arm and calling her name, while Taeyeon was trying to get both of them to satisfaction. And she did, beautifully. The Prince slumped her body down and panted. “I love you…” She breathed. It didn’t go unnoticed by the younger girl. “I love you too…” She replied. --Sooyoung surprisingly went home in the morning. Apparently she was also spent the night at her girlfriend’s house. She went inside the palace to find the remaining of Taeyeon and Tiffany dates from the night, which were the messy backyard and the Prince’s blazer also the singer’s shoes somewhere along the way. “Wh… Congrats Unnie.” She mumbled as she picked up the clothing items. The young woman then initiatively proceeded to clean up the place on her own, just in case somebody would barge in and found those. An hour later, Sooyoung got the most part tidied as they were before. She then walked to her room to freshen herself. But before she could do so, a voice sounded behind her. “Choi Sooyoung, right?” “Yes.” The tall girl turned around just to find the Queen standing right at the doorway. She quickly bowed deeply. “Good morning, Your Majesty.” Panic started to rise as she calculated what might Her Majesty needed in her place that very morning. Must be related to Taeyeon Unnie. Sooyoung swallowed hard. “Good morning, Sooyoung.” The older woman showed her motherly smiled. “Where is Prince Taeyeon?” She asked.
The young woman gulped, again. She glanced at the direction of Taeyeon’s bedroom by reflex. “She… uhh… I think she’s still sleeping, Your Majesty.” “Oh… Okay. I’ll just wait here until she wakes up.” The Queen went inside the Palace’s living room and sat down on the couch, followed by her guards. “Uhmm…” Sooyoung scratched her head. She was in the middle of her own battle, which was escorting Taeyeon’s mother out from there politely or barged in to the bedroom, which she might catch a glimpse of naked bodies she didn’t want to see, and waking up her Unnie. Of course both choices were to save the Prince’s butt. But the tall girl ended up standing awkwardly beside Her Majesty. Twenty minutes in awkward silence, the Queen finally asked, “Does it usually take a long time for Taeyeon to wake up, Sooyoung-ah?” “Uhm… yes, Your Majesty.” That was the quickest answer came to her mind. The Queen glanced at her watch. “Hmm… I will be late for morning meeting with Yuri. I guess I should leave.” Sooyong bowed as the Prince’s mother raised from her seat. “Yes, Your Majesty.” “Well, please tell Taeyeon that I need her to meet me as soon as possible.” “Yes, Your Majesty.” “Alright. Thank you Sooyoung.” The Queen tapped Sooyoung’s shoulder. “Very welcome, Your Majesty.” --Taeyeon woke up that morning with a brightest smile on her face. She kissed the shoulder of a person she had been held through the night and felt her stirred. “Good morning, Fany-ah…” She whispered.
“Hmm…” Tiffany snuggled deeper into Taeyeon’s neck. “Come on wake up, Princess.” The Prince playfully kissed the singer’s face. It made Tiffany squirmed and giggled, but importantly it awakened the eye-smiling princess. She peeked her Prince’s face but then blushed. Fully remembered the event from last night. “Morning…” She mumbled. “Can I get a morning kiss instead of the morning mumbles?” Taeyeon pushed Tiffany’s chin up. The younger girl gleefully obeyed and pecked the older girl’s lips. “Now you see, I love snuggling and spooning all morning with you, but we need to get up and get ready. I need to drive you home before anyone catches a glimpse of you in here.” Tiffany understood Taeyeon’s position and she didn’t want to endanger her dearest, most favorite person on earth. “Okay.” “The bathroom is right there.” The shorter girl pointed. “Don’t peek!” “I saw everything last night, what’s the point of closing my eyes now?” “Just…” Tiffany blushed. “Please, Your Highness…?” “Okay.” Taeyeon put a hand above her eyes. She sneakily made a gap between her fingers to watch the swaying hips of Tiffany while the girl heading to the bathroom. “Nice butt.” She snickered. After she heard the comment, the singer quickened her phase and went inside the bathroom in a flash. Taeyeon could only laugh on how cute her heart owner acted that morning. But then her cackle died down when she heard knocks on her door. “Wait a second!” She shouted as she lazily
grabbed a robe and wore it. Then she went to the door, to find Sooyoung with her pale face. “What happened, Syoung-ah?” “Her Majesty… She… She was here. She wanted to meet you as soon as possible.” The Prince suddenly felt uneasy when she heard the news. “Oh crap.” She glanced at her bathroom door. “I can take her home.” “But…” “Unnie, I have a bad feeling about this. Could you just please meet your mother? I’ll take care of her.” “Alright.” --“Your Majesty…?” Yuri saw her Mom coming from the direction of her sister’s palace. She was taking her wife to a morning jog around the castle before her appointed meeting with the Queen. “Good morning, Yuri, Sooyeon.” The couple bowed. “Exercising?” “Yes, Umma. It helps Sooyeon with her morning sickness.” The mother quickly rubbed the small bump on Jessica’s belly. “It makes me happy to see you both work hard for my grandchild.” The pair smiled. “Of course, Omoni. It’s our child. We will do our best.” “Anyway, I just saw you from Taeyeon’s house, were you visiting her?” Yuri asked.
“Yes, I thought she could join our meeting, but your sister is still sleeping. I just met her assistant.” The Crown Prince silently relieved. Actually, she knew that Taeyeon had invited Tiffany to come over her place for a date and she had expected the worst of the date might result, for example, the singer stayed over a night, which she did. Yuri was intended that her mother couldn’t know about this and she wanted to make sure that it would dwell that way. “Are you going to wash up first?” The Queen asked. “Ah yes, Umma. Please wait in our Palace.” The tanned woman exchanged secret glances with her wife. “Uh… My father just sent us a package of English Earl Grey Tea, Omoni. It would be an honor to serve you a pot of it.” “With my pleasure. Shall we?” --The Crown Prince cleared her throat once she stepped inside her living room where her mother was. “Shall we start on the meeting you wanted to so much, Your Majesty?” She took a seat beside her mother. “Actually, it’s a family meeting I was kind of hoping that your sister would come but… Let’s just start.” The Queen opened a folder and placed it on the table for her daughter to see. Yuri was more than shock when she saw the content. “Um… Umma… what is this?” “So you see, I was concerned about your sister and in fact I wanted to ask about this to her today. But she couldn’t, so you are my only way.” ---
13: Issue Tiffany hummed a happy love song while walking back to the bedroom after she bathed. She was expecting to see a still naked kid-like Prince on the bed, but her humming stopped when she saw a tall young woman pacing back and forth in the room. “Sooyoung?” The name owner ended her steps. “Oh, you’re done?” “Where’s Taeyeon?” “She is on her way to meet her mother.” “Oh…” Tiffany was feeling a bit disappointed because she still wanted to spend her time with Taeyeon. “She said that she would drop by if she could later on.” Sooyoung said. Yes, Taeyeon left the message to her before. That instantly cheered up the thwarted girl. “Really?” “Yes, Fany. Now, let’s get you home.” --Taeyeon was walking fast out of her palace, freshly showered. “Excuse me, do you see Her Majesty?” “Her Majesty is in Prince Yuri’s palace, Your Highness.” “Okay, thank you.” --The young Prince finally arrived at her sister’s palace after the power walked through the hallways. She strengthened her clothes before stepping in further, ready to face whatever would
greet her. Actually she was feeling uneasy since Sooyoung dropped the news that her mother wanted to talk. “Umma I’m he—Sica?” Taeyeon found no one except her sister in law, getting lazy on the couch with a bag of chips. “Umma missed you, baby. How have you been? Little bird told me someone got laid last night.” The Crown Princess smirked. The short Prince was shocked. She thought she got that wrapped neatly under her plan. “What?!” “No need to hide it, Taengoo. I know. Your sister knows too.” “WHAT?!” Taeyeon couldn’t help but to think that she was really in the big trouble since Yuri knew about her date. Jessica patted the empty spot beside her, cooed her sister in law to seat beside her. “Easy. We just keep you on our track.” She smiled. “So, how was it?” “How was what?” “The dinner.” Taeyeon’s brain instantly replaying last night’s events, she showed her perfect white teeth by a grin. “It went great.” “And the sex?” “Not telling you. I don’t fuck and tell.” The Prince stuck out her tongue. “Anyway, Sooyoung said that Umma wanted to see me and another guard told me that she was here. What happened exactly?” The Crown Princess shrugged her shoulder. “That. I don’t know. I was busy throwing up when they were talking and when I was done, they’re just gone from here.”
“How was Umma’s expression though?” “As usual. Why?” “I don’t know. I feel uneasy.” “Look if you’re worried about Yuri would tell every thing to Omoni, I could assure you that it won’t happen. Trust Yuri, Taeyeon-ah. But, in order you to get out from troubles too, please tone down your transparency in chasing Tiffany. You probably know that a lot of media interested in that.” “Yeah.” --Earlier on the day, Yuri met her mother to talk as her mother had planned. The Queen opened a folder and placed it on the table for her daughter to see. Yuri was more than shock when she saw the content. “Um… Umma… what is this?” “So you see, I was concerned about your sister and in fact I wanted to ask about this to her today. But she couldn’t, so you are my only way.” “Your only way to dig up Taeyeon’s personal life?” “Well, I do have the rights to know everything about my daughter, don’t I?” The folder was filled with the Prince and the singer’s photographs. The Crown Prince was checking all the pictures one by one. She was secretly praying that those evidences were not as complete as she had stacked in her room. Thankfully Yuri saw lesser information on that folder. “So…?” The Queen asked again.
“Umma, these are taken from events where Taeyeon accidentally met Miss Hwang, it doesn’t mean anything.” Yuri comforted her mother. “But the news are saying that—“ “Umma, you do know how people love to gossip about famous people and unfortunately our family is one of them.” The Crown Prince was trying to dismiss her mother wariness towards her half-sister. “Is this you wanted to ask her about?” The Queen nodded. “I’m just taking precautions Yuri-ah. You do know that she can’t have a relationship with a commoner like Miss Hwang.” Then it hit Yuri. “Crap.” She mumbled quietly. She finally realized that Taeyeon was still had to obey that one particular rule, due to the fact that her half sister was still a Prince. “What is it, Yuri-ah?” The Crown Prince quickly snapped herself back. “Uh… Nothing Umma. Is this all you wanted to ask?” “Well, since you seemed to don’t know about this.” “Sorry Umma. But I can’t help you with this one.” Yuri lied. “Is there other thing I can help you with?” “You can help me walk back to my palace before you have to go to the charity events with Taeyeon.” “My pleasure, Your Majesty.” --Taeyeon sneaked outside the venue when her sister was still busy being captured by a thousand of cameras. She missed a certain singer in Seoul. She wanted to see her, but she couldn’t since
she was tied down to partner with Yuri for the day. So the Prince thought about another way out to lessen her longing. “Hello…” A soothing voice sounded on Taeyeon’s ear. “Hey Princess.” “Hello Your Highness~” The Prince chuckled on the cuteness of the voice owner. “Are you home?” “Yes, but I’m about to go to the studio. Where are you? It’s noisy.” “I’m accompanying the dearest Crown Prince to several charity events. This is the second—no, third place.” “How many places you have to visit?” “I think one more.” Taeyeon paused. “Fany…” She called out. “Yes Taeyeon?” “I miss you.” The Prince bit her lip, expecting the same answer. “I miss you too.” “I’m sorry I left you this morning.” “It’s okay.” Tiffany comforted. “You said that you’d come to visit me anyway, so I think it’s fine.” Taeyeon chuckled again. “I know. Once I’m one with my schedule. I promise I will be in front of your apartment door and ring the bell nonstop to get your kisses.” The singer giggled. “No one would get kisses from me if they ring my bell nonstop. It would be annoying.”
“But that means you kiss anyone who treats your apartment’s bell nicely.” “No. I only give my kisses to a certain hot Prince.” “Yuri? Jessica will kill you if she knows.” Taeyeon joked. “Crown Prince is sure hot, but she’s not my type. Her sister is.” Tiffany flirted. “So I’m your type.” The Prince proudly said. “Yeah, although still lacking in height department, you’re my type.” “Hey! Thou shall not insult the Prince, especially Prince Kim. Tae. Yeon. I’ll punish you later.” “Come and get me then.” Taeyeon imagined Tiffany stuck her tongue out after saying that. It just made her missed the girl more. How she wished the time would pass faster so she could see her beautiful Princess. “…Your Highness…?” The petite girl went back from her daze. “Ah, yes, what? I’m sorry I didn’t get you.” “I should hang up now. Text me, okay?” “Will do. I’ll see you later.” “Just finish your Prince tasks first.” “Okay.” “Bye Your Highness~” “Bye Princess.” ---
“Is Prince Taeyeon already arrived?” The Crown Prince asked the guards that stood in front of Taeyeon’s palace. She intended to talk regarding the relationship matter with her half sister that night. “I’m afraid not, Your Highness.” “Really?” Yuri was calculating the time since she had arrived at home from her schedules and she was pretty sure that her sister was following her from behind. It was impossible that the Prince was still on her way. The tanned woman then thought about many possibilities and she hit the right guess. Must be with Tiffany Hwang. --It was almost midnight when the doorbell of Tiffany’s apartment buzzed. The owner of the house lazily walked to the intercom to see who was the culprit. She quickly grinned and skipped happily to the door to welcome her guest. “Good evening, Your Highness~” “Why are you so cute?” Taeyeon affectionately poked Tiffany’s nose. “Good evening, Princess. Can I come in?” “Of course.” The singer made a way for the Prince to come inside her house. “What’s that?” She was curious of the bags Taeyeon had brought. “Oh. I bought muffins for you and Sunny.” The shorter girl explained as she put the bag on the table. “Where is she anyway?” “She is stuck at a meeting with her uncle, so I went home first.” “Oh…” “Where’s Sooyoung?” “In the car. I promised her I wouldn’t be long.”
Tiffany’s smile quickly changed into a frown. “Why?” “Because it’s late. You need a good night rest.” The younger girl lowered her head and mumbled, “ButIwanttospendmoretimewithyou.” Taeyeon scrunched her brows. “Come again?” “But… I… Want… Tospendmoretime… With you.” Tiffany’s cheeks were burning. “Ahhh…” The Prince nodded. “Maybe tomorrow. I will be at your office; I still have a contract with your agency.” “Really?” The taller girl immediately lightened up again. She loved spending her time with Taeyeon. The older girl nodded again. “I’ll be there to bring you lunch and then finish my task. And maybe we could have dinner after that.” “I’d love that.” She showed her perfect eye-smiles. “Awesome. Now my job here is done. I’ll be going.” Taeyeon turned her heels towards the door, followed by Tiffany. The singer was actually looking forward to taste the Prince’s pair of plump lips that night. She had missed them since she had savored the night before. “You don’t want my kisses?” She boldly asked. That made the Prince stopped her track and turned around again. She quickly stepped to the girl she adored so much and capture her lips gently. After a couple of minutes, she let go and pecked the forehead. “Good night Princess.” She showed her charming smile, still holding the flushed cheeks. “Good night, Your Highness.”
“See you tomorrow, okay?” Taeyeon softly rubbed the cheeks with her thumbs. Tiffany nodded, still breathless. “Be careful.” “I’ll text you once I got home. Sleep well.” “You too.” “I love you.” The singer held the Prince’s right cheek and smiled. “I love you too.”
14: Upcoming Storm “So how is it?” Sunny asked her roommate out of the blue. Tiffany peeled her eyes off of the TV and stared her bestfriend, confused with the sudden question. “It? What’s ‘it’?” “Being the Prince’s girlfriend. How’s she? Does she treat you good? Is she sweet and romantic?” Sunny gasped. “She’s great in bed, isn’t she? Omooooooo~” “Yah~! Stop it!” Tiffany blushed. For her, Taeyeon was the greatest partner in bed by far. “I’m not even her girlfriend, Sunny-ah.” “Don’t lie. You two had been spending time like couples. Even hotter than Sooyoung and I.” “It’s true, I’m not her girlfriend. We didn’t establish such thing.” “Then… what are you two? Fuck buddies?” Tiffany shrugged. “Actually I don’t need a title as long as I have her love.”
That answer made the short manager to shot a very sharp questioning look to her singer. “Love? She loves you?” The singer nodded. “She told me those three words almost everytime.” “Awwww… Sweet.” Sunny curled up her palms in a cute manner. “So I just need to wait for wedding invitation then.” The eye-smiling singer only flashed her beautiful beam. “You need to ask my Prince about that. Anyway, how are you and Sooyoung?” “That Shikshin… I’m in love with her.” The shorter girl dreamily said. “She’s the best girlfriend by far. Although she’s not the Prince, I’m the happiest when I’m with her. She completes me.” “My Sunny is in love!” “My Fany too!” “Aaaawwwwww~” They both said in unity. “You know what, we should get married together!” The manager added. “You’re crazy.” --Taeyeon closed her speech and bowed down to the ministers in front of her before exiting the room. She huffed. It was one of the toughest discussions for her. “How was it, Unnie?” Sooyoung, who was waiting for Taeyeon outside the room, asked. “It was like world war three. I wondered how Yuri could take this easily every single day.” The Prince exhaled again. “Lunch and coffee would be nice. I need my energy boost.” She said while walking towards her car with the younger girl. “Let me guess, café next to Tiffany’s office?”
“Correct!” Taeyeon grinned. The assistant slumped her shoulder down. “Yah! What’s with the sudden change of mood? You can see your girlfriend, Syoung-ah.” The tall girl entered the car on the driver side, followed by the short one. “Look, Unnie. It’s not that I’m not happy by seeing my girl and not happy seeing you and Fany got along really well, but I’ve been hearing some rumors that your mother already knew about this and she was about to do something. I just don’t want that ‘something’ would be bad and might happen to you later on.” “Hold on. What’s that ‘something’?” Taeyeon asked while motioning the air quotation with her hands. Sooyoung only shrugged her shoulder. She really had no idea about that. “I don’t know, Unnie. I just heard the news only up to that.” “Let’s just hope that everything would be just alright. If… I’m saying IF… If Her Majesty would really do the thing—that thing—regarding my relationship with Fany, I promise I would fight for her.” “Praying for you, Unnie.” “Thanks, Syoung-ah. Now let’s meet our princesses!” --“Knock knock…” Taeyeon bobbed her head through the gap between the doors. A person sitting behind the desk inside the office room looked up. “Taeyeon?” “Hi…” The Prince went inside the room; her loyal assistant was following too. “I bought you lunch and coffee and also your girlfriend.” She grinned. “Where’s Fany?”
“Ow thank you…” Sunny stood up and went to her girlfriend to give her a sweet peck before scrutinizing the paper bag’s content. “Fany is fitting her outfit for album photoshoot. She’ll be here soon.” She said before turning her attention to the tallest girl. “Have you eaten, Baby Shikshin?” The nickname made Taeyeon bursted out laughing. “Baby~ Omoooo… Baby Shikshin…” She teasingly curled up her fingers. “Shush Unnie. Bet you even have more embarrassing nickname for Fany.” “She calls Fany by ‘Princess’, babe.” The manager unfolded the secret and smirked. “Awooooo… Princess… Your nickname is finger curling too, Unnie.” Taeyeon only rolled her eyes. “Tsk…” Not taking too long, finally the singer arrived. Actually she overheard people squealing about Taeyeon’s presence in the building. So she sped up her fitting session to get to see her favorite Prince. “Hi guysssss!” She greeted, eye-smiling along the way. “Hi Fany.” The couple replied unenthusiastically. But the radiating girl couldn’t care more. Her eyes were set on one person in that room from the start. Her legs even knew the fix direction. “Hey, Your Highness~” She cutely said, standing in front of her heart owner. “Hey, Princess.” The Prince showed her an enchanting smile. “Ow! Too cheesy!” Sooyoung commented. The pair ignored the comment and just stared at each other. “Stop the eye sex already! Fany! Eat! Taeyeon bought us sandwiches!” Sunny commanded. “Oh yeah. I bought you lunch from next door.” Taeyeon reconfirmed.
“Thank you. Have you eaten?” “Yes, I have.” The Prince was busy preparing the lunch for her Princess. “Here.” She handed the neatly wrapped sandwich. Tiffany happily munched the food. “How was the meeting?” “Chaos, I barely survived.” Taeyeon dramatically dropped her head. The younger girl chuckled. “Was it that bad?” “Kind of. How have you been? We didn’t see each other for almost a week. The last time I saw you when we’re filming the CF.” “You were busy sending off your charm to girls around Korea.” The older girl squinted her eyes in playful way. “Are you by any chance jealous, Fany-ah~?” She naughtily poked the singer. “Ow… Our Fany is jealous!” Sunny again interjected the conversation by her comment. She even whistled, teasing the caught-red-handed-jealous-girl. “I’m not jealous. I just… less like to see that kind of thing.” The singer denied. “Don’t worry. I just gave them my charm not my heart because someone already took it away.” Taeyeon winked. “Oh my God, Unnie! Stop it right there!” Sooyoung sharply protested. “Why why why?!” “Just… please. My girlfriend is trying to eat here.” Taeyeon only laughed before turning her attention to her Princess again. “When will the album be released?”
“Sorry, Your Highness, I can’t discuss this matter with you. My boss is watching me.” Tiffany pointed her bestfriend with her eyes. “I’ll let you know later.” She whispered. “Heard that, Fany. Don’t you dare.” The manager warned. The two only giggled. “Do you have something else to do after this?” The singer asked. “Nope. I’m free for the rest of the day. How about you?” The younger girl shook her head. “I’m done too.” She said, hoping that Taeyeon could take here somewhere to be alone and spend their quality time together because she missed the girl so much. “Dinner with me?” Tiffany eagerly nodded answering the question. --Yuri was staring at her wife throughout the way from an event place to their palace. She loved to see how Jessica affectionately rubbed the baby bump. She smiled, feeling content, and then she put her own hand on top of the a bit bulging tummy. “You are in a good mood today. Is it because our baby behaving well today?” The Crown Princess showed her gorgeous beam. “Yes. I didn’t even feel the morning sick.” “Good then.” The Crown Prince paused. “Are you tired? Do you want something to eat before we go home?” “I’m good, Seobang. Why? Do you want to eat outside the palace?” “Only if you want to…” “I want to spend my quality time alone with you at home.”
“Home it is then.” Jessica then remembered something. “Have you talked to Taeyeon?” The husband was clueless. She completely forgotten that she wanted to discuss and possibly advice her half sister regarding the relationship matter with Tiffany Hwang. “Why should I talk to Taeyeon?” The wife sighed. “You are not that old to be forgetful, Seobang.” She paused. “Taeyeon can’t be with Tiffany, remember?” “Ah…” Yuri nodded. “AH!” Finally everything had sinked in her brain. “I’ll talk to her once we’re arrived.” “Do you know what Umma will do about this issue?” The Crown Prince shook her head. “I don’t know. I hope she would change the regulation though. I mean, Taeyeon and Tiffany are great together.” “Yeah. They are really cute together.” “We are cute too.” Yuri suddenly inched forward and put up her aegyo mode. That earned a loving peck from Jessica. “Yes, because I have the cutest husband in the world.” She caressed her husband’s cheek and smiled sweetly. --“Here we are.” Taeyeon parked her car on the driveway of a very luxurious hotel. She then unbuckled Tiffany’s seatbelt and hurriedly got out from the car to open the car door for her lover. “Are you sure we are going to dine in here?” Tiffany asked once she got off of the car. The Prince firmly bobbed her head ups and downs. “Why? You seemed not really sure?”
The singer looked at her clothes. “I’m underdressed.” She was wearing a flowery-blue-collared button down, paired with jeans and also a pair of ivory wedges. The statement made Taeyeon stared at the girl before her from the top down to the bottom. “You are beautiful in everything, Fany.” The younger girl instantly broke the eye contact because her cheeks were burning due to the praise. “Come on, shy girl, let’s get something to eat. I’m starving.” The older girl outstretched her hand. Tiffany looked at the hand, she really wanted to intertwine their hands together, but she stopped herself, worried that paparazzi might be there. “Your Highness…” She called. “Yeah?” “It’s better if we looked ‘professional’. I’m worried that somebody from the news might get us here.” “Ah… Okay.” Taeyeon’s hand went to the pants pocket and stayed there until the two sat on the booked seat. The two went inside and immediately welcomed with the great services from the hotel. Because of two most famous figures appeared in there. The couple was set at the furthest spot of the restaurant, where they could get the private. The people seemed to understand their posisiton. They resumed to eat their dinner in silence. “Let me pay this time.” Tiffany said as she fished out her wallet. “Nooo. Please don’t. I took you out so I have to be the one who pay.” “Pleaseeeee~” The singer showed off her puppy eyes. “You paid everything too much already.”
The cute puppy eyes instantly made the Prince’s heart grew fonder to the girl. “Okay.” She paused. “You know what, you are the first person who asked me about this. I’m flattered.” She smiled. “Really?” Taeyeon nodded. “Yeah. Even my mom never asked me about this.” Right after she ended the statement, her phone went off. “Oops, speaking of the devil.” The older girl excused herself. “Yes, Your Majesty?” The Prince said. “Please go back home now.” The Queen said with her stern tone. That made Taeyeon alerted. “O-okay, Umma.”
15: Inevitable Taeyeon hurriedly went back to the palace after she dropped Tiffany safely at her apartment. She felt nervous and a bit afraid of what might come and greet her, because she had never heard her mother’s austere tone, except when the Queen was upset about something. The Prince gulped as she simulating the possibilities in her mind. She prayed hard that God wouldn’t give her extremely hard test. The petite girl went through her mother’s palace gate, waited for the guards to announce her presence before finally stepping in. Her confidence dropped when she saw her half sister was standing beside their mother, sadly looked at her and shook her head. The tanned woman then
tore her eyes off of her and stared the ground. She was even more discouraged when she yet saw her dearest assistant slash dongsaeng perched near the corner of the room, hanging her head low. “G—“ Taeyeon swallowed, trying to gather her scattering courage. “Good evening, Umma.” She bowed. “Please step forward, Prince Taeyeon.” The mother still used her distant-stern tone. The young girl did as she told. She took a few steps forward and got nearer to the Queen. Her bravery was decreased to a much lower level than the-already-low-audacity. “Please explain to me what you are doing with Miss Tiffany Hwang.” Taeyeon felt her heart beats thousand times faster when she heard the sentence. She had wished that she could be vanished in a snap of time from that room along with the entire quandary. She didn’t do—She couldn’t do anything. Not even to think of an answer. She was afraid that her mother would do something to Tiffany if she told the truth. “Well…?” The Queen asked again when she received nothing from her oldest daughter. Seeing her sister was more than shocked and anxious, Yuri decided to help. “Umma… maybe we ca—“ But the mother cut the Crown Prince off by saying, “I’m still waiting, Prince Taeyeon.” --Earlier that day, Sooyoung went back to the palace alone since her Unnie was going to have a dinner with Tiffany. Of course, that was also after a considerate quality time with her girlfriend. She felt nothing but happy, because she got to see, hold, and kiss her baby that day. But everything went gloomy when, “Choi Sooyoung, the Queen is waiting for you. Please follow me.” Said one of Her Majesty’s guard.
“Y-yes.” The tall girl could only oblige to the news and followed the guard who led them to the Queen’s office. “Your Majesty, Choi Sooyoung is here.” The guard stated while bowing. Sooyoung also bowed deeply. “Good evening, Your Majesty.” “Good evening, Sooyoung.” The eldest smilingly greeted. “Could you come closer to me? It’s tiring to speak at this volume.” The young woman took a few steps forward to be just a few feet away from the Queen’s table. That was when she saw her Unnie’s photographs scattered on it. It obviously contented the singer as well. She was blown but she tried to keep her composure. “So since day one Taeyeon arrived here, you are always with her, correct?” “Yes, Your Majesty.” “Had she ever caused you trouble so far?” “No, Your Majesty. Your Highness Prince Taeyeon helped me a lot of time.” “Glad to her that.” Taeyeon’s mother still hadn’t touched the real topic. “Have you eaten, Sooyoung?” The tall girl wondered why the Queen asked her that. “Yes I have, Your Majesty.” “Good, because I will need you a bit while in here with me. I have something to ask you.” The Queen smiled. “You’re okay with this, aren’t you?” “O-of course, Your Majesty. I’m here to serve you.” Sooyoung stole a quick glance to her Unnie’s mother when she heard the latter was moving some papers on the table. She silently watched the Queen opened a big folder and referred her eyes back to the ground, before Her Majesty caught her in the act.
Taeyeon’s Umma cleared her throat. “Since you are Taeyeon’s assistant, I assumed you know about everything involving in her life here.” She began. “Let’s start with her social life. Can you explain to me about that?” The assistant nodded hesitantly. “Prince Taeyeon is quite humble to others. She instantly befriended with many people, so I think…” Sooyoung paused. “… her social life is more than okay, Your Majesty.” “Is Tiffany Hwang one of her instant friends?” Sooyoung was shaken by the question. She racked her mind to settle a diplomatic sentence to answer. “Miss Tiffany Hwang is one of Prince Taeyeon’s friends, my Queen.” She thought it was the best. “Just a friend?” “As far as I know, they are friends, Your Majesty.” “You sure?” The Queen emphasized her tone. “Positive, Your Majesty.” “Then, could you explain to me what this is.” She showed a picture where Taeyeon had sneakily conveyed Tiffany into the palace and had romantic dinner together. Her Majesty then showed another picture, which captured the Prince and the singer in a heated lip-locking session. The young assistant flinched and swallowed hard. She finally realized that she was in a not very nice position. “I bet you know the continuation of this kind of activity, so I don’t have to show you any more pictures.” “…” ---
“Prince Taeyeon…?” Taeyeon gulped. “Tiffany is m-m-my friend, Umma.” “Don’t lie to me, Taeyeon. Although I know everything, I prefer to hear it directly from you. So please, enlighten me.” The young Prince realized that she had nowhere to run except answering her mother with the most honest truth, although the term friend was not wrong either. “I love her, Umma.” She said with low voice. The Queen silently clasped her hand together. “You know you can’t do such thing to a commoner, Prince Taeyeon. We have rules that you have to follow. So clear everything with her before you went further.” “Umma…” Yuri tried to soften her mother’s heart. “No Hwangtaeja. I’m not changing my mind. She already caused chaos once when she gave you her title. I’m through with her breaking our palace’s rules. It’s time for her to act like her age.” “Umma…” The Crown Prince tried again. But before she could say anything further, her mother cut her off again. “You’ll help her to sort and finish everything off with Miss Hwang. I expect it would be done by the end of the month, because your sister is going to accompany me to Germany to get my heart treated.” She commanded her youngest daughter. Taeyeon inhaled sharply when she heard the deadline. It was only two weeks away. How could she possibly do that? She thought. Added with she would be leaving the country too for indefinite time, which means she would leave her princess’s side. “Umma…” She kneeled down. It was too late, the Queen already left the room with her helpers. “Taeyeon-ah…” Yuri pulled her frail sister up.
“Why…?” “We’ll talk about it tomorrow. Now, let’s get you home.” --“Still nothing from your dearest Prince, Fany?” Tiffany finally teared her eyes off of her phone screen. She shook her head. “Nope. Nothing. I’m getting worried.” “Why?” Sunny asked after she put down two cups of hot chocolate and sat beside her worried friend. “Because the phone call from her mother sounded very serious and she was very… nervous and fidgety, like when someone feel that something bad would happen.” The shorter girl just patted her best friend’s thigh. “Maybe she’s just tired after the meeting with her mom. I’m sure she’ll shower you with her love tomorrow.” “Right.” Tiffany’s heart was still convinced that something wrong happened to her dear Prince. --I hate being a Prince. Those words replayed over and over again inside Taeyeon’s head. But then her head flicked the images of the woman she had grown to love for the last few months. Tiffany… “Unnie… I’m sorry…” Sooyoung broke the silence after the guilt finally dominated her. Taeyeon turned her head and smiled weakly. “It’s nor yout fault, Sooyoung-ah. I’m not blaming you.” “B-but I was the one who-who…”
“It’s okay. Guess, Umma’s Intels are just awesome, like ninjas.” Taeyeon tried to lighten the mood, but her tone couldn’t falter the sadness. Both of them fell into silence again. One was dealing with her guilt and the other one was still thinking about the person she loved dearly. Sooyoung cleared her throat. “What should we do, Unnie?” She asked. “You heard my mother, Sooyoungie. I have to end whatever I have with Fany.” “You’re not going to fight?” “What options there that I have? I have nothing, Sooyoung.” “Right.” Sooyoung mumbled. “Eloping with Fany would kill my mother. I just... Sigh. I don’t know.” Taeyeon pulled her knees together and hugged them, burying her head in process. --The next day was still bitter for the short Prince. She didn’t even sleep the intire night, she wanted to, but she couldn’t do so. Not when her head was filled the current problem. Today, she was planning in doing nothing but to lock herself in her room. Until, three short knocks on her door forced her to get off of her bed. “I brought you breakfast.” It was none other than the Crown Prince. “You should’ve brought them for your wife.” Taeyeon walked away from the door and left it opened. “Don’t worry. She ate earlier with us.” Yuri put the tray on the nearest table near her sister’s bed. Then she sat on the mattress. “Have you thought about something from last night?” She carefully asked.
“Nope. I can’t think. What do you think? Wait. Of course, you would tell me to do what Umma had said.” “That inevitable Taeyeon. If you leave Umma, her health would be worsened, and it would be bad for Tiffany. You do know what people would think of her about this.” The young Prince sighed. “You got it easy. Jessica is a princess. Lucky you.” Taeyeon didn’t realize that her tone was a bit harsh. “Yeah. I’m sorry.” “It’s inevitable. Like you said.” Taeyeon’s phone went off, indicated that a text message just went in. Good morning, Yout Highness. I’m off to recording my album. Have a nice day! I miss you. Her heart broke when she saw the kiss emoticon. What should I do, Fany-ah? I don’t want to leave you.
16: Sadness “Ta—Sooyoung.” Tiffany flatly said after she saw the face on the small screen. “Hey Fany. Can you buzz me in?” “Sure. Your girlfriend is in the bathroom anyway.” “I know.”
The singer then buzzed the door to let Sooyoung in to the apartment. It had been a week since Taeyeon went missing in action. Tiffany missed her short prince so badly and wondered where that particular girl had gone. But everytime she asked Sooyoung about it, the taller girl only answered that Taeyeon was having a super hectic schedule she couldn’t even contact Tiffany. “Hey.” Sooyoung greeted after the door opened. “Hey. Here to kidnap my roommate?” “Guilty as charged.” The singer craned her neck to check whether her favorite person was there or not. “Unnie is with Crown Prince Yuri, Fany.” Sooyoung said after she saw what Fany did. “Oh…” The singer couldn’t hide her disappointment. She couldn’t pinpoint the exact reason of why Taeyeon disappereance although she felt that something wrong happened to the girl. “Aren’t you supposed to be with her or something?” She finally asked. “I… I asked for her permission to go early, besides, she got the whole army to protect her. So, minus one wasn’t a problem.” Sooyoung grinned, covering her lies. “O-kay.” Fany then looked at Sooyoung again. “Where is she anyway? What is she doing with the Crown Prince?” “Ehm…” --“Don’t you want to go outside your room? It’s Saturday night, Taeyeon-ah. Spend your time with Tiffany. We’ll cover your track.” Yuri suggested. There were Yuri, Jessica, and the owner of the room, Taeyeon, sitting on the bed while staring at the TV.
The short Prince only groaned.
Taeyeon had been alienated herself from the world for a week. Her mood dropped ever since her Mother told her to end everything with Tiffany. The other reason of why the Prince did this was because she didn’t have a heart to break the news to the singer she had grown to love. “Avoiding her is not the answer, Taeyeon-ah.” Jessica said. “But it’s the best. She won’t get hurt.” “You think she won’t be hurt by this? Left with nothing from you? You’ve wasted a week already.” The Crown Princess argued. A week. Darn. “You have to tell her sooner or later, Taeng.” Taeyeon groaned again. --“Sooyoung?” The name owner turned her head to the source of voice when she heard that. “Unnie? What are you doing at this hour?” “Grab something to drink. Date with Sunny?” The latter nodded. “Fun?” The older girl asked after put down her glass on the table.
The younger girl shrugged. “The usual.” “How’s Fany?” Sooyoung was hesitated to answer. She opened her mouth but immediately closed it again after seeing her Unnie’s sad face. “It’s okay, you know. How’s she?” Taeyeon reassured. The assistant let out a sigh before replying, “She’s missing you, Unnie. Really bad. She keeps asking me about your whereabouts.” She paused. “Go talk to her, Unnie.” The Prince thought for a minute before finally decided to answer and sighed, “I will.” She showed her little smile. --Good morning, Princess. Miss me? I miss you. Tiffany woke up to find the message with cute emoticons from her dearest prince. She immediately jumped off the bed once she read the text. A very wide smile carved on her face as she typed the reply. Good morning, Your Highness. I miss you very much. Where were you? You’re awake already? Did I wake you? Sorry if I did. Anyway, care to have lunch with me today? I’ll explain later. The singer scrunched her eyebrows when she saw the ‘I’ll explain later’ sentence. But she shrugged it away since her prince just asked her to have a lunch together. Sure. What time? I’ll pick you up at your office around lunch time. Love you. Okay, I’ll be waiting. Love you too.
--It was 15 minutes before the lunchtime, and Tiffany already packed up her things in the recording studio. “Where are you going, missy?” Sunny asked after she saw what her artist was doing. “My Prince asked me out today. I’m taking a half day off.” Sunny tilted her head and raised an eyebrow. “Asked you out as in…?” “Out with her… lunch…” Tiffany answered without looking. “Ah…” The manager nodded. “Well then, run along lovebirds. I’ll see you at home.” The singer showed her eyesmile and waved her hand before going downstairs to wait for Taeyeon in the lobby. Once she arrived, Tiffany found her Prince already sat down on the sofa, crossing her legs while reading some magazine. If only there were just two of them, Fany would likely to hug the girl tight and kiss her endlessly. Unfortunately there were other people, so the singer could only cleared her throat to get the Prince’s attention. Taeyeon looked up when she heard the voice, mezmerised on the way of the voice owner. “Ah, you’re done?” She asked once she snapped from her trance. She saw her favorite singer nodding. “Ready to go?” Tiffany nodded again. “Right. Let’s go. My car is outside.” “Where’s Sooyoung?” The taller girl asked. Taeyeon didn’t answer until both of them got into the Prince’s car. “Don’t want my date got interrupted so I send her to guard the Crown Princess.” The Prince grinned before starting the car. “Anyway, you’re very beautiful today.” She praised after taking a few seconds admiring the singer’s beauty, capturing perfection the younger girl had.
Tiffany could only shyly smiled and blushed. --Taeyeon kept her silence throughout the journey and Tiffany noticed it. Usually, Taeyeon would always make small talks or even random comment about something, but she did nothing. The singer glanced at the girl who was concentrating driving for a while before averting her eyes back to the scenery outside, but her eyes caught something. “Umm… Your Highness…?” She saw the road direction. “Yes?” “Are we going outside town?” Taeyeon nodded. “Where to?” “You’ll see.” The Prince took the singer’s hand, intertwined it and finally kissed it before resting the hand near her beating heart. It was romantic yet sad, Tiffany could feel it. But she refused to acknowledge the somber mood, so she just let it slide. --“Princess… Fany… Fany-ah…” Taeyeon gently shook the sleeping girl’s body. “Ummhh?” Tiffany stirred and slowly opened her eyes. “Hi, good afternoon. We’re here.” The older girl smiled. She waited for the younger girl to adapt to the situation and let everything sinked in first.
Tiffany looked around to find a big garden and a fountain, along with the wooden gate. She noticed the name board but couldn’t understand the character because it was in Hanja not Hangeul. “Welcome to the summer palace.” Taeyeon said. “Shall we?” The sleepy girl only nodded. Before she knew it, the Prince already opened her door and waited for her to get out from the vehicle. Once the taller girl got out, the shorter firmly held the hand and lead the way inside the building. Everyone was bowing and greeting the Prince, and sometimes the young Prince greeted back or just replied with smile and a nod addressing other people. “I’m sorry I didn’t cook. I was busy being a driver.” Taeyeon tried to appear dork, but Tiffany saw the sadness in her eyes. “It’s okay. I’m happy being with you no matter who cooks.” The singer showed her eye-smile. The Prince squeezed the hand. “We’ll go to the beach after this.” --“BEEEEEAAAACCCHHHH!” Tiffany immediately ran towards the wave once they were out. Taeyeon only chuckled when she saw the childish antics. She took out her phone and recorded the girl she loved so much running around happily. After a while Tiffany went back. “This is so much fun!” She commented, smiling all the way. “What are you doing?” Apparently the Prince was still recording. “Filming you.” She smiled. “Nooooo!” The singer tried to reach the phone, but by quick reflex, Taeyeon ducked. “Gimme that phoneeeee!”
“Kiss me first.” The singer gladly did so. “There. Can I have the phone now?” “Thanks. And here you go.” Tiffany quickly record Taeyeon. “I love you, Your Highness.” Taeyeon turned her head when she heard the words. “I… Thank you, Fany-ah.” She smiled and hugged the singer. “You know that I love you too, right?” She whispered, again, with sad tone. ---
17: Oh no... Tiffany recorded Taeyeon with the latter’s phone. “I love you, Your Highness.” She suddenly said. Taeyeon turned her head when she heard the words. “I… Thank you, Fany-ah.” She smiled and hugged the singer. “You know that I love you too, right?” She whispered, again, with sad tone. The younger girl broke off the hold and stared at the older one with questioning eyes after she heard the tone. “Why you sound and look so sad today? Are you not happy meeting me?” She brushed one of the cheeks. “I… It’s…” Taeyeon sighed. “Something happened with your mom that day, wasn’t it?” Bingo. Tiffany shot the right target. The Prince looked away. “Was it about us?”
“…” “Me…?” Taeyeon was still not giving her answer and still looked away. “Hey… Taeyeon…” Tiffany grabbed both sides of Taeyeon’s face and forced her to turn her head. The singer searched the eyes and again saw the pain. “What happened?” “It’s… difficult, Fany…” “Try me.” Taeyeon sighed again. “My mother… she…” She paused and looked at the girl she loved so much. The Prince didn’t have the heart to continue. “What? Your mother what?” Tiffany was getting impatient. “She wants me to end everything with you.” Finally, it was out. Tiffany had predicted that it was going to happen, but it hurt her more when she directly heard from Taeyeon. Her heart was cracking when everything was clicked in her brain. “…why…?” She asked softly with teary eyes. The shorter woman held her hand. “She wants me to accompany her to get her heart treated abroad until her health is back to normal, which I don’t know until when.” Taeyeon paused after she saw tears were pooled in the corner of Tiffany’s eyes. She hesitated to drop the next bomb, but she had no other choice. The short woman lowered her head and sighed. “And there’s one rule says that I can’t be with the one that doesn’t descended from the royalties. ” By the time Taeyeon closed her mouth Tiffany shed tears.
The Prince immediately hugged the crying woman close. “I’m sorry. I wish all of this were only a dream. I wish I would never leave you. I wish things were different, Fany. I really do.” A tear trickled down on her cheek. Why now? Why when I’m starting to live in happiness? The singer felt her world was breaking apart. She clutched onto Taeyeon’s shoulder tight. “I’m sorry, Fany.” Taeyeon kissed her dear Princess’s hair. --The drive back to Tiffany’s apartment only filled with sobs and sappy love songs from the radio. Taeyeon was not talking, not even making a voice. She was as broken as her lover. The Prince put the gear on park once she neatly pulled up her car. She took a glance at the sobbing girl beside her and sighed. “Fany-ah…” “…” The short girl took a deep breath. “We’re here.” She said softly. Tiffany wiped her tears. “C-c-can w-we p-please ta-talk first?” This time, Taeyeon couldn’t form a proper sentence to reply. She thought that there was nothing left to talk about anymore. So she sat in silence. Seeing her Prince didn’t budge, the singer continued her notion. “I- I know t-this is s-selfish…” She cleaned her nose and tried to reduce her sobs. “But can we please try to fight for this—Us?” “Fany…” Taeyeon cut off. “…Fight for me, Taeyeon…? Please…” The older girl turned her body side ways. She took hold of the crying girl’s hand. “It’s not that I don’t want to. I can’t Fany. I have no other choices.”
“Yes you have! You can fight for us! You can fight for me! Or… Or… we can do this behind your mother’s back! Why you don’t want to do it Taeyeon? Do you hate me? Or do you think that I’m just a piece of trash that you can dump whenever you wanted to after you got bored?!” “No. Fany…” Taeyeon rubbed the raging girl’s upper arm, trying to calm her down. “Look, I love you, Princess. I’m in love with you. Why would I think of those things you said to me?” “Then why you can’t fight for us?” “There’s one thing you should understand Fany. If I keep this up, I will indirectly kill my mom. And if that happened you do know what scrutiny they will give us. I will endanger your life and your… your career as well because of this. I don’t want anything happened to you, Fany. I’m glad that up until now Umma didn’t do anything to you.” Taeyeon held Tiffany’s cheek and wiped the streaked tear. “Please understand me…?” “… So that’s it…?” The Prince reached out and hugged her Princess tight. “I’m sorry Fany.” “When will you leave the country?” “Next week.” Tiffany broke the hold. “Well, you know where to find me. I guess… I’ll…” Another tear refused to stay. “I’ll see you when I’ll see you?” She studied Taeyeon’s face and captured everything in her mind. “I love you, Fany. I’m sorry.” “Me too…” Tiffany put a finger close to Taeyeon’s lips. “I love you too.” The Prince smiled sadly before leaning up to kiss the forehead. ---
“Taeyeon… Taeyeon!” Yuri paced up her steps once she caught her sister half running to her palace. The older woman ignored the voice. She didn’t want to see anyone, especially at her most broken stage. Taeyeon wiped her cheeks and continued walking. “Taeyeon…” The Crown Prince called again. She wanted to reach the arm but stopped after she heard a sniff. “T…” She also stopped her track and think. Not until a pair of slender arms snaking around her waist. “Hey babe.” Yuri felt a kiss on her right shoulder. “Hey you.” She turned around and hugged her wife’s shoulder instead. “I thought you’re doing your yoga.” She kissed her temple. “It’s finished. I even bathed already. What are you doing here? I thought you’re with the ministers.” Jessica shifted to hug her husband better. “The meeting is adjourned. I was just about to head home when I saw Taeyeon. I think she was crying. What happened to her?” Jessica leaned her head on her husband’s shoulder. “She went to the summer palace earlier today.” “And…?” “And she went there with Tiffany.” “Then wh—Ah… She broke up with her...?” “Maybe…?” The pregnant mother shrugged. “Poor little thing. We should’ve warned her from the start.” Yuri could only sighed.
--“Fany! Lunchtime! Come on! Come out from that room! You need to eat!” Sunny yelled from the living room. She witnessed what happened after the Prince dropped her roommate yesterday. She rightly guessed what happened between the two. And since that night Tiffany locked herself up in her room, sometimes Sunny could hear her sobs through the door when she checked up on her, but nothing much. Tiffany wasn’t even muttering a word to her. The manager knocked the door again. “Fany…” She called out and waited for couple of seconds. “It’s Unagi Don…” Sunny cooed. But still, Tiffany still didn’t answer her roommate. Finally Sunny decided to just barged in. “Fany…” She called again while trying to search the owner of the dark room. She blinked a couple of time to adjust her eyes. The manager managed to land her butt on the edge of the bed, next to the crying girl. She reached out and stroked her artist’s hair. “Hey, come on eat. I bought your favorite.” Sunny felt Tiffany shook her head. “Okay. I’ll keep it in the fridge.” She took a breath and ready to leave. “You know, you can talk to me about anything.” “T-thanks.” The brokenhearted girl said. --Taeyeon spaced out through the morning meeting. Her mind was wandered to a different place until she felt a tap on her shoulder. She looked up and saw her half sister signaled her to stand up. She did as she told and bowed to the ministers before exiting the hall. “You okay?” Yuri asked once she caught up her sister. The latter nodded. “I… uhh… Gotta go.” Taeyeon briskly walked, left her sister alone. The short prince spent the rest of the day locked up in her room. She couldn’t feel anything other than harsh stabs in her heart. She kept replaying Tiffany’s image in her mind.
“Fight for me, Taeyeon… Please…” --The next day, Tiffany woke up with a massive headache. She rested her back against the bed board and massaged her temple. She then noticed that her roommate had put a glass of water on her nightstand. She reached for it and gulped the content. Halfway gulping the water, the singer felt the urge to throw up, so she ran to the bathroom as fast as she could and did it. “Fany?! What happened?!” Sunny rushes in to help. “I… have… no… idea…” Tiffany answered after she was done vomiting. “Let’s get you clean and back to bed.” Sunny ended up bathed her roommate and helped the sick girl with everything until they went back to the bed. “Maybe you just caught cold. But I still want to make sure. I’ll call the doctor.” She stated while tucking her best friend under the blanket. “Okay.” Thirty minutes later, the doctor came and checked the singer. “Are you allergic to some food, Miss Tiffany?” “No, doctor.” “How many times did this happen?” “The headache and the urge to throw up happened several times since a few weeks ago, but this is the first time I was actually vomiting.” Tiffany stated. The doctor dangled her stethoscope around her neck. “How about your cycle?” “My cycle?”
“Your menstrual cycle.” “Err…” Tiffany tried to remember and did a quick calculation. “I think I’m two or three weeks late.” Her eyes widened. “Oh no.” The doctor scribbled something. “Maybe it’s not, Miss Tiffany.” She comforted. She knew what just had crossed Tiffany’s mind. “But if you want to get a better confirmation, I think you should get yourself checked at the hospital.” She smiled. ---
18: Stumbling Block “No No No… Oh God… This can’t be…” Tiffany let out a curse and a loud groan when she saw the pregnancy test kits on her sink. She took eight tests and yet every single one of them showed that the singer was pregnant. “Fany…? Are you okay?” Sunny shouted from outside the bathroom. “Fany…” She called out again when she heard no answer from the inside. “Tiffany Hwang?” Tiffany opened the bathroom door. “I…” She just showed the results to her best friend. The short manager loudly gasped. “YOU’RE PREGNANT? WITH WHO?” The singer lowered her head and sat on the edge of the bathtub. “Taeyeon isn’t it?” Sunny sat beside her silent roommate. “Fany…” The eye-smiling girl nodded slowly. “You gotta tell her.” She suggested.
That sentence made Tiffany looked at her best friend. “What for?” “Err… Last time I checked she’s the father of your baby.” “Well the father doesn’t even want to fight for the mother of the baby, what makes you think that she will fight for the baby?” “What happened exactly…?” The taller girl sighed. “Long story, but the point is we will never be accepted into her family.” She walked to the sink and gathered the test kits and threw them at the nearest bin before leaving her best friend dumb founded. Sunny groaned and dialed a number. “Babe, I need to talk to your boss…” --“I’m sorry baby, but I don’t think my boss can talk to anyone right now.” Sooyoung flinched when her girlfriend shouted something on the speaker. “I know… I’m sorry. But she’s in a meeting right now… Okay. See you.” The tall girl took a deep breath and smoothened her suit before going back in the hall, standing behind her boss. Taeyeon looked back and raised an eyebrow. “Toilet break.” Sooyoung mouthed while pointed the door. The prince nodded and went back to the meeting. “… and since The Queen will be away for a while to get treated, I will be the one who handle everything in here. But, anything that needs further approval, please contact Prince Taeyeon, because she will accompany The Queen.” The Crown Prince turned her head to Taeyeon. “Do you want to add anything?” “No.”
The tan-skinned woman stood up straight again to dismiss the morning meeting. She then bowed together with her half sister and went out. “Taeyeon wait.” She caught the shorter girl’s hand. “You’ll be departed the day after tomorrow with the Palace’s plane at 9 p.m. So better pack your things.” Then she looked at the tallest. “You too, Sooyoung.” “Y-yes, Your Highness.” Sooyoung bowed. “Right then. I have to accompany Sica. See ya!” Taeyeon waited until Yuri was out of sight and exhaled noisily. She dropped her shoulders and slowly walked back to her palace, followed by her dongsaeng. Both of them keeping their mouth shut throughout the way, until Sooyoung felt her phone vibrated on her pocket. She fished it out and saw the name. “Ehm… Unnie, I need to take this.” “Go on. I’ll be in my room.” Taeyeon said and left the taller girl to take her phone. “Yes baby?” Sooyoung answered. “Is your boss free now?” “Well…” Sooyoung gulped and glanced at the door. “Not really. What is it?” The assistant heard her girlfriend sighed. “There’s something important that she needs to know. Can we meet now?” “That is going to be out of the question. We need to pack.” “Oh… Why?” “You know why.” “Right. You’re going with her too.” Sunny paused. “When’s the day?” “Two days ahead. 9 p.m. Why? You want to send me?”
“That depends. Are your schedule packed for the next two days?” Sooyoung scratched her head. “That. I don’t know. But I need to stay beside Prince Taeyeon all the time, baby. What is it about? If it’s about Fany, I don’t think Prince Taeyeon want to discuss it.” “Unfortunately it will always be about Fany. Well, can I meet you then before the day? I don’t think the access will be easy for me since The Queen will be there.” “Let’s see what I can do, okay? But I think Her Highness will allow me alright.” “Okay then. I’ll see you. Love you babe.” “Love you too.” --“Uhm… Unnie…” Sooyoung hesitantly spoke when they were having their quiet breakfast. “Hmm?” “Can I have a day off today? I want to meet my g—Sunny before we go.” That made Taeyeon looked up and remembered about Tiffany. The last day. She thought. “Sure. Go on. We don’t have much things left to pack anyway.” “Thanks Unnie. You’re the best.” The prince smiled. “Tell Sunny I say hi. And bring those cookies we baked.” “Alright.” “And uhm…” Taeyeon’s eyes showed the sadness. “Please tell Tiffany to take care.” Sooyoung felt the sadness too. “That… will do, Unnie.” She weakly smiled.
Taeyeon stopped eating, lost her appetite all of the sudden. “Well then, I’ll go meet Yuri and Sica. Be careful, Sooyoung-ah.” --“Hi—mmpphh…” Sooyoung was greeted with a pair of lips she had accustomed to. “I take it that you missed me.” “That I do. Hi.” Sunny let her girlfriend walked inside her office room. “Bring you cookies Taeyeon unnie and I baked.” She showed the can. “Here.” “Thanks. Oh speaking of your boss.” “Yes? What’s with her? And why did you so eager to talk to her?” Sunny went back to her desk and reached out something in her drawer. She pulled out a neatly wrapped box and handed it to her girlfriend. “I got a present for her. Tell her to open it once you’re arrived. Okay?” Sooyoung took the box and observed it. “What is it? Necklace? Bracelet?” The manager only rolled her eyes. “Why would I give her that? She can buy a lot more beautiful and expensive jewelry.” “Just kidding, baby. So, no clue or whasoever?” “Nope. Just give that to her please.” “I don’t like when my girlfriend gives someone else a present with this kind of jewelry box. “It’s not from me. It’s from Tiffany. But remember what I’ve said. She can open it after you guys are landed there. Okay?” “Yes, milady. Now come on. You have a girlfriend to feed.”
--“You are rooming with me, okay Sooyoung?” Taeyeon said once they reached the gate of their temporary place. “B-But…” “Please…” “Okay Unnie…” Sooyoung and Taeyeon then unpacked their belongings and started to arrange them in their room. “How’s Sunny?” The Prince suddenly asked. “She’s fine.” “…and Tiffany…?” “I… didn’t see her actually. She wasn’t home by the time I visited.” “Oh…” The room fell in silence again. Until the young assistant felt something on her fingertips. The present for her boss from her girlfriend. She glanced at the prince, contemplating. Sooyoung had taken a peek while they were on the plane. The curiosity got the best of her, so she decided to look what was inside the box. She knew by now what it meant. And she knew now, she had to decide whether to give the prince the gift and make her lose her mind or save it for later until the queen gets better but sacrificing Tiffany and her baby, if the singer still wanted to give her baby a chance. “What do you want to eat before we head back to the hospital, Syoung-ah?” Taeyeon’s voice brought Sooyoung back from her trance.
The shiksin quickly return the box into her bag and looked up. “Yes Unnie?” “Food.” “Oh, food. Whatever you want, Unnie.” “Let’s buy kebab!” “Alright. I’ll tell the driver.” Taeyeon nodded. --Sunny counted her the hours by her fingers. “They’re just landed.” Tiffany shortly commented. “How did yo—Oh… Google.” Sunny sat beside her roommate. “I miss her already.” She sighed. “Anyway, do you want something today? Or maybe we can check your pregnancy with the doctor?” Tiffany shook her head. She unconsciously rubbed her stomach. “I already checked it. I’m positive but like what I have told you, I don’t even know whether I should keep it not.” “I don’t want to be preachy and I’m not judging you, Fany. This is only my outloud thinking, okay?” Sunny looked at her best friend. “I think that your baby does not deserve to be punished here. I know that you hate Taeyeon at the moment and wish for different things, easier choice, happier life, but I think you should keep it. But then again, it’s your choice. I can always arrange something for your career that if you decide to keep your baby.” Tiffany loudly exhaled. “I don’t hate Taeyeon. Not anymore. I’m actually scared, Sunny-ah.” “Scared of…?”
“Everything…” Tiffany covered her face with her palms. “I’m scared that I couldn’t be a good mom. I’m scared of raising this child alone. I’m scared that my baby would hate me because she didn’t have complete parents figure. I’m scared of what people would do to my kid. And mostly, I’m scared of what Taeyeon’s family would do to my kid...” Sunny sighed again. “I understand. It’s too complicated. But should you decide to keep your baby, you should know that you’re not alone. You have me and your family. Besides, you can always fly back to the States and live happily there.” “That’s the other thing that I’m worrying. What should I tell my family about this?” “Err… The truth…?” “She’ll kill me.” “She won’t. No mothers would kill their own flesh and blood. And I solemnly believe that.” “That’s when you’re wrong. Let’s stop this talk. Just…” Tiffany stood up. “Just let me think about it first.” She left her roommate alone. --“Your Highness…” “Yes?” Jessica looked up. “Oh… Updates on Tiffany?” A woman in blacksuit bowed. “Yes, Your Highness.” “What is it about?” “I believe Miss Tiffany Hwang is pregnant with Prince Taeyeon, Your Highness.” Jessica’s eyes widened when she heard the sentence. She was very surprised. “Excuse me?!” Her tone was raised unintentionally. “M-miss…”
“Get me my husband now!” The Crown Princess immediately commanded. ---
19: Getting Away “Tiffany what?!” “She’s pregnant Taeyeon’s baby.” Yuri slumped against the couch. “How did you know?” She stared at her wife. “One of my assistants always keeps Tiffany on track and updates me from time to time. And she happened to catch Tiffany checked her pregnancy at the hospital.” The Crown Prince sighed. “Does Taeyeon know?” “I suppose not.” “Good. Let’s keep it that way.” Yuri rubbed her temples. “We should talk to Tiffany, baby.” “Let me do that. Just keep the great work here, okay?” Jessica kissed her husband’s temple and hugged her. --Sooyoung was sitting right outside the Queen’s room at the hospital, nodding off to sleep, when her phone was crazily vibrating. She fished it out and saw Korean number flashing on the screen. She quickly picked it up, hoping that Sunny was the caller.
But the voice was different. “Sooyoung?” Choi Sooyoung knew well who her caller was. “Prince Yuri…?” “Yes. Hi. How are you? And where’s Taeyeon?” “Good, Your Highness. Thank you for asking. I hope you experience the same feeling. Prince Taeyeon is currently with the Queen.” Yuri sighed. “Okay. Anyway, did Miss Lee tell you about something related to Miss Tiffany Hwang… ehm… pregnancy?” Sooyoung knew that she couldn’t lie. Not now and especially not to the Crown Prince of Korea. “Yes, Your Highness.” “Did you… talk to Taeyeon about that?” “No, Your Highness, because if I told her she would come running back to Tiffany and abandon the Queen. And I suppose that would practically harm everyone and everything.” Sooyoung stated the most honest condition. “True. Well, I intend to keep Taeyeon this way until the Queen better or even healed later. It will help to keep Taeyeon focus on her duty. I know that this is evil but… it’s for the best. So would you please help me?” “I will, Your Highness. I will.” “Thank you, Sooyoung.” “My pleasure, Your Highness.” Sooyoung glanced at Taeyeon. I’m so sorry Unnie. --Sunny gasped and quickly opened her door after she saw who her guest was. “Princess Jessica?” Jessica sweetly smiled. “Hello… Can I come in?”
“S-S-su-sure, Your Highness. Please come in.” The manager bowed and then made the way for the princess to come inside her apartment. “You must be Miss Lee Sunny?” “Y-y-yes. Your Highness.” Sunny said, still bowing. “Don’t be so tense around me. Call me Jessica or Jessie or Sica, whatever you like.” Jessica smiled. “Where’s your roommate?” “She’s uhm… she’s out to get something. But I’m sure it won’t take long.” “Oh. Can I wait for her then?” “S-sure, Y-y—“ “Jessica.” “S-sure. Jessica.” “Much better.” The Crown Princess grinned. “Do… uhm… Do you want something, Pri—I mean Jessica?” “Ehm… Water will do. Thank you.” In about ten minutes later, Tiffany went inside her apartment, toof off her shoes, and announcing, “I’m ho—Princess Jessica?!” She stopped herself after she caught the person sitting in her living room. “Miss Hwang, good afternoon.” Jessica stood up and smiled. “G-g-good a-afternoon, Y-your Highness.” The singer bowed. “I’ve just told Miss Sunny to loosen up around me. You should too, Miss Tiffany.” The Crown Princess smiled. “Uhm… Can we talk?” Jessica didn’t want to waste another second.
“S-sure.” Sensing that it would be a serious and personal matter, Sunny decided to leave the two of them alone. “I’ll take my leave then.” “No, stay.” Tiffany said. “You can stay, Miss Sunny.” The Crown Princess approved. “O-kay.” “It’s about your baby.” Jessica calmly started while rubbing her baby bump. She watched the singer’s eyes widened, along with her best friend who was also flabbergasted. The singer was surprised to know that Taeyeon’s family found out about she pregnant that fast. “H-how…” “Well…” Jessica innocently smiled. “Of course. You are the Crown Princess.” Sunny commented, realizing that Jessica could have such power to know everything. “Can we continue?” The Princess saw Sunny gestured to continue their conversation. “Uhm… First of all I wanted to say I’m sorry, for you and Taeyeon about the… break up.” The Crown Princess stopped her sentence to catch a glimpse of Tiffany’s sad face. “ Second, I’m not sure to congratulate you on your pregnancy or not because I really don’t know what you feel about it right now, now that you’re just broke up with Taeyeon. But one thing for sure, I was very surprised. Still am actually.” Jessica started her next question with much careful tone. “Did Taeyeon tell you why you guys have to... end your relationship?” “Yes…” Tiffany averted her gaze somewhere, still feeling hurt whenever she remembered about that hurtful event.
“I know that you love her so much and that my sister-in-law also feel the same way about you, but unfortunately, that one tiny rules messed you guys up.” Jessica paused. “You do know what will happen if you insisted to have your baby, right?” The singer silently sighed and shook her head. “Not quite… but I figured some…” “Well, I have to be blunt with you, Tiffany. Since you can’t marry Taeyeon, unless she let go her title and her rights to be one of the heirs, but until then your kid absolutely will not be recognized as the royals or Taeyeon’s.” “I… know…” Jessica moved to reach Tiffany’s hand. “I know this is hard and hurting and very very unfair, but you only have two choices here, Tiffany, to let go of your baby or to not ever tell Taeyeon about their existence, at least not now, at least until the Queen was declared normal by the doctor.” She said while looking straight to the singer’s eyes. “I know that it sucks. I’m pregnant too and I will be furious if Yuri’s family won’t recognize my kid, their own flesh and blood, but then what can I do? I’m on a dead end.” The Crown Princess then stood up and kneeled down. “I beg you please, Tiffany… Help us out here.” “Your Highness!” Tiffany and Sunny both quickly helped Jessica to stand up. “Please…” Jessica begged again. “I understand, Your Highness.” Tiffany softly and sadly said. “But don’t worry Tiffany, we will always help you. I will always help you.” --“Who was it? Yuri?” Taeyeon said.
Sooyoung quickly turned her head. “Who…?” She was shocked that her Unnie knew she was talking on the phone earlier. “The one who called you.” “Oh… no… It’s my… mother, Unnie.” Sooyoung lied. “Oh… Yuri hasn’t called?” Sooyoung lied again, “Nope, Unnie.” “How about Sunny?” “She hasn’t called either.” That one was the truth; her girlfriend hadn’t called her all day. “Well, are you going to check on her later?” Sooyoung shrugged. “Maybe.” Taeyeon then begged Sooyoung, “Would you please tell Tiffany to take care of herself?” “Sure, Unnie.” “Thanks Sooyoung. Now let’s go home. I need to reset my life hour.” --“Where were you?” The Crown Prince asked when she saw her wife entering their palace. “I went to Tiffany’s house and talked about Taeyeon and the condition.” Jessica answered while taking a seat on her husband’s lap. “And?” “I think Tiffany will keep her baby. But I don’t know. That’s just a hunch.” Jessica stated. “Actually I want to help her. For example, we could set up a fund for the baby until they’re old
enough to have their own money. Raising a kid is pretty expensive now, and knowing that Tiffany would lose her career…” “I get it baby. Don’t worry. We will help her. Like it or not, it’s Taeyeon’s baby. Our family.” Yuri smiled and placed a kiss on her wife’s lips. Jessica sighed. “If only Tiffany was a princess.” She snuggled on her husband’s neck. --“I think I would go back to the States.” The singer suddenly stated after a long silence once the Crown Princess left their apartment. Sunny turned her head. “Why?” “I can’t be here and pregnant without a husband, can I?” The manager shrugged. “I can always set up a pretend life for you.” “No, Sunny. That won’t be good for me and for my baby.” “So you will keep the kid?” Tiffany nodded. “I know it would be hard, but I want to give a change, my baby already lost her father, I don’t want to leave them. And maybe someday, just maybe, Taeyeon and her family would alter their mind.” “Maybe… So your plan is to go back to the States and to your family?” The eye-smiling princess bobbed her head. “I think so. Or I can always live alone at least until I give birth and then go back here or so...” “Okay, Fany. You know what’s best for you. I’m here to help every decision you make.” “Let’s start by setting up a reason for me taking a long hiatus from the spotlight...”
20: Hiding in Plain Sight “… and bow…” Taeyeon did as she told. She bowed. “Smile.” The prince showed her perfect set of teeth. “Now walk to the exit on your right, Your Highness. I’m right behind you.” Taeyeon heard the voice from her earpiece, nodded, and walked to the pointed direction. A car was parked and a man in suit opened the door for her to get in. “Prince Taeyeon is safe and sound. Great job. Thanks team.” Sooyoung said to her communication device once she landed herself on the front passenger seat. “Hi Unnie.” She looked and grinned at Taeyeon. “Hi. Great job, Sooyoung. Thank you.” The prince smiled. “Most welcome. Now, where to?” “To hospital, please.” --The short woman peeked on the window just to see that her mother was fast asleep. “How’s my mom today, doc?” She asked the head of doctors who was responsible to her mother’s condition.
“She was having a trouble with breathing earlier on. But we had given her the proper medication and put her to rest for today.” The prince nodded in understanding. “Good to know. When will be the surgery again?” “Next week.” “I see. Okay then. I’ll rest inside. Thank you doctor.” Taeyeon smiled and bid her goodbye before walking inside her mother’s ward. She sat on a chair right beside her mother’s bed. She glanced at the sleeping woman and silently prayed for her mother’s health. And then, Taeyeon opened her tablet, searching for Tiffany’s latest news. She did and it just made her day worsened. The headline stated that the singer took a long hiatus and went back home to the U.S. After reading the words, the prince frowned and sadly sighed. Wondering if she was the reason why Tiffany did such thing, a part of her heart hurt once again. Little did she know, her mother was looking at her. “Taetae…” The Queen called with hoarse voice. The nickname and the tone instantly made Taeyeon stopped what she was doing. “Umma… I thought you were sleeping.” She closed her tablet and moved closer to her mother. “Is it Tiffany?” She softly asked. Taeyeon tilted her head, confused. “Huh?” Confused not only of why her mother suddenly asked about the one who-shouldn’t-be-named when she was around, and confused of why her mother was suddenly calling her childhood nickname with a much of loving tone. The queen shifted her eyes to the gadget and back to Taeyeon. “The news on your tablet.”
“Oh… that… err… yeah.” She answered with declining volume. The mother sighed. She knew how different and miserable her daughter had been since the deadline of the dreadful decision. “I’m sorry that I put you in this situation, Taetae. I know it must have been hard for you.” She said it with loving gaze to her daughter. Taeyeon sadly smiled. “It’s… Okay, Umma. Now come on, it’s late, you need a lot of rest.” She adjusted her mother’s blanket. “I know that it’s not okay, Taetae. You are hurting and I’m the cause of it.” “Well... I’m not okay, Umma. But I will eventually be. Besides, you’re right. I should’ve acted more like my age and no more breaking palace’s rules.” “I’m really sorry, Taetae.” The Queen reached out to hold her oldest daughter. “I don’t want you to hold a grudge against me after I die.” Taeyeon quickly let go of the hold, a drop of tear escaped from her eyes after she heard what her mother just had said. “Umma! Don’t say that. You do know that I love you and you will be fine.” “If there was no such regulation, you should know that I would give my blessing for you two. Miss Hwang is a good person. I know that she’s sincere. And I know that she will take a good care of my Taetae.” “Umma…” The Queen solemnly smiled and closed her eyes. “Good night, Taetae.” --“Your Highness…” A bow. “Ah, yes…?” Jessica looked up from her newspaper only to see one of her assistants that signed to follow up Tiffany’s movement. “How’s Tiffany’s progress?”
“She is planning to move to the States. She is also planning to see you, Your Highness.” “See me as in meet me in person?” The princess questioned. “Yes. Sooyoung informed me the details. Miss Lee requested her to ask you whether you have free time to meet Miss Hwang, maybe tomorrow or the day after.” “I’m free for the rest of the week.” The pregnant mother then thought about a better idea. “Please get me Miss Tiffany’s number.” The assistant fished out a mobile phone from her blazer pocket and handed it to the Princess. “Here, Your Highness, speed dial 3.” “Thank you.” Jessica took the phone and dialed Tiffany. --Tiffany awkwardly bowed after she was ushered to what she thought a grand living room of The Crown Prince and Crown Princess Palace. “Welcome to the East Palace.” Jessica smiled sweetly. “Did the guards trouble you?” “No, Your Highness.” “Good to hear. Well, let’s move inside.” The Crown Princess led the way to a much smaller room. “Have a seat, do you want a cup of tea?” “Yes, please, Your Highness.” Tiffany was still keeping her attitude properly. Jessica moved to tell her assistant about the drinks and went back to Tiffany’s side. They were then casually exchanging small talks while waiting for their tea. And when it did arrived, Jessica cut the chase. “I have been informed that you wanted to see me personally, what can I do for you Tiffany now that we both are here?” “I… You do know about my intentions to move out the country, right?”
“Yes.” “Well, it’s just a decoy. I actually need your help to hide me. At least until I give birth.” Tiffany pleaded with eyes. “Please… Your Highness.” “Wait wait wait. Hide you…?” Jessica quite unsure of what Tiffany just proposed. She gestured the singer to explain. “I need to get out of the spotlight to safely give birth to my child while still having a chance to get back on track in my career. So Sunny, my manager—“ “Sooyoung’s girlfriend…?” The Crown Princess suddenly asked. Tiffany nodded“Yes, Sooyoung’s girlfriend. We just set up a plan covering my pregnancy by leaving on a long hiatus. My company decided to announce that I would be going back to the States while the truth I’m staying in here so that the press would go crazy in the States, not here.” “Then where should I come and rescue you in this situation?” “I’m asking for you to hide me, because I don’t know where else to ask. I mean you got the best protection from the press, that’s for sure, and uhm… it would be simply stupid if I just cooped up in my apartment.” “I get it.” Princess Jessica nodded in understanding. “Please, Your Highness.” Tiffany moved to kneel down. “I made a promise with my husband, that if you need anything we will help you, because Yuri and I already considered you as our family.” Jessica helped the kneeled girl to stand up. “And I’m glad that you decided to keep your baby. So back again, of course, Tiffany. I will hide you in the most secluded place in South Korea.” She smirked.
21: Two Years Later... “… Her Majesty has died peacefully in her sleep after fighting two years of battle with her sickness. She was 63, and was known to have been suffering from a worsening heart condition. The official announcement was given three days ago by the hospital. Crown Prince Yuri immediately becomes King at the age of 26. She will take the Royal Oath which will seal her accession to the throne next week after the Queen’s cremation…” Taeyeon turned off her TV and stood up. “I need some fresh air.” She quickly said before going out to the Palace’s garden. The young prince went home right after her mother was announced died by the doctor. It had been two long years to see her mother in pain, on one way she felt relieved but on the other way she was incredibly sad, the Queen was her mother after all. “Do you want me to—“ Sooyoung couldn’t finish her sentence, because her conversation partner had briskly walked away, leaving her behind. Taeyeon sat on one of the bench where she used to spend her time talking to her mother in the garden. She looked at her reflection on the pond’s water and reminisced their time together. She wanted to cry but she just couldn’t do it. She already cried a lot in the past three days, so she ended up blankly staring the water. Until a voice woke her from her trance, “I never imagine Umma left us.” The prince glanced at the voice owner. She sighed before going back staring at the calm fishpond. “Yeah, me too. Although I know we’re all gonna be dead. How’s the coronation arrangement going?”
“I don’t know. I still can’t believe that Umma passed away. She hasn’t seen my kid.” Yuri stated her regret while doing the same thing with her sister. “She saw your kid through the pictures you sent me.” “It’s not the same.” A sigh. “I know. It will never be the same.” Both of them fell into comfortable silence. --The funeral of the Queen and the coronation of now-King-Yuri done flawlessly. Everything was perfect, everything was right. Now the Royal Family was resting in the King’s Palace. Taeyeon was spotted sitting on the carpeted floor next to a cute one-year-old prince named Kwon Yoona. They were playing cars, complete with sound effects from both players. “So, what’s your planning next, Taeyeon?” Jessica suddenly asked after a while watching the two people on the floor interacting. “I don’t know. Maybe, finishing my café in London.” The prince answered. “It’s not like you need me here.” She was stating the fact. “We do, although it may not as much as when Umma was still around. But we do need you.” “Well, I don’t see like that though. This nation has the most precious, trustable, brave, great King. I believe you guys will be fine without me.” Taeyeon smiled. “I promise I will visit oftenly. I have this new buddy to have fun, Your Majesty Queen Sooyeon.” She was referring to Jessica’s daughter. The new queen grinned. “Okay, if that’s your decision. When you are planning to go back to London?”
“Maybe next month.” Taeyeon patted Yoona’s head and went to the couch, sitting beside Jessica. “I haven’t got the chance to ask you. How’s Korea in the last two years?” “The usual, until the bad news.” Jessica was talking about the former queen’s death. But she also noticed the implied meaning. “But I haven’t heard about Tiffany. The last time I heard, she went back to the U.S…?” She lied. “I didn’t ask about her.” Taeyeon curtly said. She was trying so hard to forget that one person, but everything on earth reminded her of the singer. “I was just saying.” Jessica casually said. “Anyway…” The prince changed the topic. “I want to bring Umma’s ashes to the Summer Palace and spread it to the sea. She loved the beach.” She remembered one summer when her Umma was happily playing with Yuri and her at that beach. “You should talk to your sister about it, but I think it’s a great idea.” “I will, later.” Taeyeon threw her glance on the playing toddler and warmly smiled. --“You sure you wanted to drive there by yourself, Unnie?” Asked Sooyoung in the middle of dinner. Taeyeon nodded. “Yep.” “It’s three hours from here.” The Prince rolled her eyes. “Yeah, I know.” “Your Majesty King Yuri will kill me if I allowed that.”
“I’ll be fine, Sooyoung.” Taeyeon reassured. “Tell you what, I’ll talk to Yuri about this and save you from the hassle. Plus, I will give you a week of to see the girlfriend of yours. You haven’t see her in a while, have ‘ya?” Sooyoung weakly bobbed her head. “That is true.” “There you go. Case closed.” --“Your Majesty…” Taeyeon bowed. Yuri looked up. “Hey, don’t be so formal, no one is here.” They were in the Palace’s study, the new king was appointed to sign several new proposed policies. “What’s up?” “You’ve granted my intention to take a small amount of Umma’s ashes and spread it on the beach near the summer palace, but there’s one more thing…” “You wanted to go there alone?” “Yea—How did you know?” “Sooyoung informed me about it last night.” “Should’ve known.” Taeyeon muttered. “So yeah, I wanted to drive myself alone to go there, please. Just one last time before I go back to London.” Yuri was contemplating for a while, weighing the options of what form of surveillance she should take in order to keep her sister’s safety. “Okay.” She finally said. “That’s it?” “Well, I will notify each and every police precinct along the way to keep an eye on you and the air force to track your movement should something happen. But yeah, that’s about it.”
Taeyeon huffed. She knew her sister meant well, but she just wished that her sister could loosen up a bit sometimes. “Sounds great. Thanks Yuri-ah.” “You’re welcome.” --Taeyeon walked to the beach once she reached the summer palace. She held the air as much as she could while holding a small glass jar consisting her mother’s ashes. “We’re here, Umma.” She said. The prince then opened the jar. “I love you, Umma. Goodbye.” She sincerely said as she spread the ashes into the sea. She wiped a drop of tear on her cheek. The young woman spent the next of couple hours looking at the sunset. It reminded her of another painful goodbye. She sighed and shook her head, trying to delete the scenes from her mind. When they’re gone, Taeyeon was staring blankly again at the sea. She then caught a sight of a toddler, probably around her niece’s age, was about to be splashed with big wave. The prince quickly stood up and ran to save the little kid. She came right in time to pick the girl up when the wave smashed her back. The toddler seemed to be surprised and cried. Taeyeon walked away from the water and tried to calm the baby down when she saw a woman approaching with panic face. “Oh my God oh my God.” She held out her hands. “D-da-dad dad…” The little girl reached out. The woman took the baby into her arms from Taeyeon’s. “I’m so sorry baby.” She kissed the girl’s cheeks and soothed her back. “Thank you for saving her.”
Taeyeon smiled. “You’re welcome.” The corner of her eyes then caught another moving figure, a woman too. “M-m-mom mom.” The toddler babbled. The closer the woman got, the awful familiar feeling Taeyeon got. “Hyunnie! Thank God you’re okay.” The woman kissed the baby’s cheek too. “Thank yo—“ “Fany…?” “Taeyeon…?”
22: Flashback “You might be familiar with this area, Tiffany.” The Crown Princess said after they entered a secluded neighborhood. “Yeah. Taeyeon brought me to the summer palace once.” Tiffany sadly said.
The place where Jessica planned to hide Tiffany was near the summer palace. The Jungs have a villa near to the small fort. It was empty and the rest of her family was very rarely visited the site, so she thought it was the best place for the singer to lay low for a while. Jessica glanced at Tiffany. “I know what happened in there.” She said. “I’m sorry.” She patted the singer’s hand. “We’re not going to stay there, right?” Tiffany asked out of her curiosity. “Oh no, of course not. You will stay in my family’s villa, not far from the palace though, but I’m sure that no one will know that you’re there.” “Thank God. I thought you’ll hide me in the summer palace.” --“This is it.” Jessica said after she finished giving a full tour of her villa to Tiffany. “Speed dial number 1 is me, number 2 is Yuri, and 3 is Miss Lee.” The Crown Princess pointed the phone. “You can use, eat, sleep, wear, everything in here. Don’t worry. And, Miss Lee can come here anytime she wants or you want, I will provide the car. Hmm… What else….?” Jessica paused. “Oh… I asked my friend to accompany you here.” “O…kay…” “She will be here tomorrow or so. I’ll send you her picture so you will recognize her. Her name is Kim Hyoyeon.” “Okay.” “Well, I should go back to my husband now. Take care. If there’s anything you need, call me or Yuri.” “Will do Your High—“ “Jessica.”
“Will do, Jessica. Thank you for everything.” “You’re very welcome.” --Tiffany flinched when she heard the buzzer rang. She quickly walked to the small screen to see who her visitor was. There was a woman, looked very tidy, almost like Sooyoung-tidy, blonde hair and average built. “Err… Tiffany?” She sounded nervous and awkward. “Yes?” The singer hesitantly answered. “I’m Hyoyeon, Jessica’s friend.” The woman took her sunglasses off and stared at the camera for a couple of seconds. “Ooohh. Hi… Come on in.” Tiffany opened the door gate to let Hyoyeon in. Once the blonde inside, Tiffany rushed in to serve her a can of soda. “I can think of anything at the moment. Is that okay?” “Sure, you don’t have too actually. Thanks anyway.” Hyoyeon smiled. “Come in. Have a seat. Make yourself at home.” “Alright.” The woman took a seat on the couch in the living room. Looking around, drumming her palms on her knees, didn’t really know what to do. That was when Tiffany decided to start the conversation. “Sooo… uhmmm… Hi. I’m Tiffany.” She held out her hand. Hyoyeon took it. “I’m Hyoyeon, Kim Hyoyeon.” She cleared her throat. “I’m sorry, I’m not good at small talks.” “It’s okay.” Tiffany paused. “What does exactly Jessica told you to do?”
“Ooohhh! Yes.” Hyoyeon seemed to remember something. “I’m a doctor, an obgyn specialist to be exact. She told me that you might be needed my help since you are pregnant, I suppose.” “Oh yes. I do. You know that I… uhm… couldn’t exactly go to doctor and blow this whole thing up.” “I understand. Sooo yeah. I’m here for your monthly check up until you give birth. Free of charge. I might also stay here when you’re on your 7 th or 8th month.” “You shouldn’t do that.” “It’s okay Tiffany, a friend of Jessica is a friend of mine. So don’t worry.” She grinned. --Tiffany was standing on the balcony, that particular night she missed Taeyeon so much, but she didn’t know what to do so she just stood there and stared blankly at the dark sky. “Hey…” Hyoyeon stood at the doorway, holding a blanket. “It’s cold here. You should get inside.” The singer was pregnant for 8 months now and just like what the doctor had said, she was staying in the villa until Tiffany give birth. Both of them actually got along very well. They helped each other through everything. Sometimes, Sunny would visit Tiffany and stayed for a couple of days and went back to Seoul again. Jessica too, would come by and check whether the singer was alright or need anything. The Crown Princess usually came with the Crown Prince, but lately she couldn’t because she, herself, would give birth to her own child. “It’s okay.” Tiffany said. “I’ll be back in a few minutes.” “Well at least you wear this. Would not want to be sick now, would you?” Hyoyeon draped the blanket on Tiffany’s shoulders.
“Thanks.” “You’re welcome. I’ll make the milk, okay?” “Sure.” Tiffany took a deep breath and turned her body just to see Hyoyeon went to and fro in the villa to get her necessities. She deeply wished that she were Taeyeon instead. The singer huffed and stared at the sky again for a few minutes before decided going back inside. “Here you go.” The doctor served a cup of warm chocolate milk for the pregnant mother. “Do you want something else?” Tiffany shook her head and took the mug. “Alright. I’ll better get the dinner ready.” Hyoyeon was ready to leave when a hand caught her arm. “Can you just stay here?” The singer pleaded, eyes almost shed tears. “Ehm… Okay.” The doctor went to sit beside Tiffany again. The pregnant mother instantly clung onto her arm and cried her eyes out, terribly missing someone. --Hyoyeon sighed. “Fine. It doesn’t matter anyway. I’m not that important.” She said to the phone and turned it off. “Nicole?” “Yeah.” The doctor huffed. “How’s Hyunnie?” She changed the topic. “She’s doing fine.” “Can I hold her?” “Sure.” The singer carefully handed the sleeping girl into the doctor’s arms.
Tiffany was successfully gave birth to a healthy baby girl about two months ago. She named her baby Hwang Seohyun. Hyoyeon was the one who helped her with everything up until now. “She’s smiling.” Hyoyeon said and planted a kiss on the baby’s cheek afterward. “Her smile is just look like yours. Pretty.” Tiffany laughed. “Why thank you.” She paused. “What’s with Nicole this time?” The two had been super close since they lived together under one roof. Tiffany told the doctor almost everything and vice versa. “Apparently my girlfriend was too busy to even see me for a couple of hours.” “Chill, Hyo. Maybe her work got tripled like last time.” “I just don’t even—sigh. I don’t know. Maybe I just missed her.” Tiffany patted the doctor’s shoulder. “Be patient.” Hyoyeon suddenly realized that Tiffany had a bigger burden than her. She could see her girlfriend anytime she wanted, but not the singer. “Sorry Fany, I know it must have been har—“ “What did I say about talking the-one-that-should-not-be-named?” That made Hyoyeon laughed. “Alright alright. No talking about Voldemort.” She then paused. “But will you tell her about her real father?” She gestured at Seohyun. “I… don’t know. I mean I should, she has every rights to know who her parents are, but I couldn’t since the royals won’t even recognize Hyunnie as her daughter.” “Be patient Fany. Everything will be alright in due time.” Hyoyeon said. --“Da-Da… Dad dad.” “What?”
“Dad dad!” Hyunnie clapped her own hands and seemed satisfied with Hyoyeon’s reaction. “No no no. I’m not your dad dad. Your dad dad is in Germany right now.” “Dad dad…” The baby didn’t understand and just reached out her hands to be picked up by the latter. “You should not call me dad dad in front of your mom mom, okay baby girl?” Hyoyeon told the baby and only got scrunched up face. “What now? Milk?” The doctor closely paid her full attention on the baby in her hold to guess what she wanted. And right on cue, Hyunnie cried along with unpleasant smell coming from her diaper. “Sunnyyyyy!” She called out. “What?” “I think she needs to change diaper, can you—?” “Heck no. I’m not changing any stinkin’ diaper. You, dad dad, should be the one to do it.” “I’m home!” Tiffany announced. Hyoyeon and Sunny continuously murmured their gratitude to God when they heard the voice. The doctor came out from the bedroom and quickly handed Fany her baby. “Here. Your turn now.” “What is—Oh my God. You two don’t change my baby’s diaper?!” Tiffany said after she smelled the odor and hurriedly walked inside the baby’s room. She expertly cleaned everything and a happy baby Hyunnie now stopped crying, feeling comfortable and all. “You guys are the worst baby sitters ever.” “Hey, you don’t pay me to clean your baby up.” “That’s not my job desk. I’m your obgyn doctor.”
The two stated their defenses. Tiffany shook her head. “Dad… dad…” Hyunnie reached out her hand, asking Hyoyeon to hold her. “What did she call you?” Tiffany asked, not believing her ears “Err…” “Dad… dad…” “Maybe she just used to see me here, you know… Come here baby.” Hyoyeon took Hyunnie in her arms and disappeared inside the bedroom to play. “I know it’s weird and it shouldn’t be her. But she’s right. Maybe Hyunnie only know her and got used to her all the time and assumed that she’s her father.” Sunny reasoned. “I… I need some fresh air.” --“Where to today?” “Let’s go to the beach! Let Hyunnie and I console your sadness, since your Nic—“ “Stop.” “Okay. You want dad dad come and play with you right?” Tiffany asked her baby and got toothy smile as reply. “See… Let’s go.” “Sigh. Fine.” The three went to the beach and played around. Hyunnie sat on the sand and started to build something random with Hyoyeon. Tiffany was busy preparing their food, taking out snack boxes from the picnic basket.
“Hey Fany… I need to go to the toilet.” Hyoyeon told the mother and went to do her business. Tiffany only saw her toddler and thought that her baby was at safe distance, so she carried on with serving their picnic. She had been too grossed on taking pictures of her artwork when she saw Hyoyeon running towards the sea with panic face, while shouting, “Oh my God, Hyunnie! Oh my God.” The singer quickly glanced at the direction of Hyoyeon destination when she saw a person holding her baby tight, saving her from a huge wave. “Oh my God oh my God.” Hyoyeon held out her hands. “D-da-dad dad…” The little girl reached out. The doctor took the baby from the woman’s arms. “I’m so sorry baby.” She kissed the girl’s cheeks and soothed her back. “Thank you for saving her.” The stranger smiled. “You’re welcome.” “M-m-mom mom.” The toddler babbled and Hyoyeon turned her head to see Tiffany was approaching. “Hyunnie! Thank God you’re okay.” The singer kissed the baby’s cheek too. “Thank yo—“ She was about to express her gratitude when she caught a familiar face. “Fany…?” The person spoke. That was when it hit Tiffany. “Taeyeon…?”
23: H-hi F-Fany... “Fany…?” The person spoke. That was when it hit Tiffany. “Taeyeon…?” Hyoyeon quickly bowed. “Your Highness…” And after that the awkwardness started to fill the air. They were thinking of what to do next but they seemed too scared to even make a move. Tiffany was pretending to calm her daughter down; Taeyeon was staring at Tiffany, the baby, and Hyoyeon, while Hyoyeon didn’t really know what to do, so she just stood there awkwardly. That was when Hyoyeon’s ringtone saved them. “Excuse me…” She told them and walked away to take the call. “Sooo… she’s your baby?” “Yeah.” Tiffany answered. “She’s beautiful.” Taeyeon paused, clearly admiring the singer. “What’s her name again?” “Seohyun. And that’s Kim Hyoyeon.” The singer gestured to the woman who took a call a few feet away. “Oh...” Taeyeon seemed discouraged when she heard the other name. She didn’t really want to know of who Hyoyeon was in Tiffany’s life because she knew from the way the kid affectionately called the woman. “Hey, I think we should get back. Sunny is on her way to our house.” Hyoyeon reappeared and told Tiffany. “Oh… sure. Can you pack the things?”
“Will do.” Hyoyeon nodded. “Thank you so much once again, Your Highness.” The doctor bowed. “You’re welcome.” “Well, nice to meet you, Taeyeon, and thank you again, I don’t know what I would do if I lost her.” “Glad that I could help her.” The prince smiled. “I should get going. Bye.” “See you around.” --Taeyeon went home after she accidentally met Tiffany. She was glad but discouraged with the event. Happy that she could finally see Tiffany again although dejected because there was another woman named Hyoyeon. But, she was curious about Hyoyeon, more to worry if this Hyoyeon did not take a good care of Tiffany. “Unnie, are you okay?” Sooyoung asked. Taeyeon went back from her trance. “Hmm? Oh yeah. Why?” “You seemed… distracted since you’re back from the summer palace.” “No… It’s nothing. Get rest Sooyoung-ah. We have early meeting tomorrow.” “Okay Unnie. Good night.” “Night night, Syoungie.” Taeyeon said and watched Sooyoung left her room before fishing out her phone and dialed someone. “Hey, please do a background check on Kim Hyoyeon and her relationship with Tiffany, I expect the report in two days and please don’t let anyone know about this.”
--“Your Highness. This is the report that you asked.” A man in gray hoodie handed a document to Taeyeon. “Thanks a lot.” “Anything else, Your Highness?” “Nope. You can leave before anyone sees us.” The man bowed and left Taeyeon. Meanwhile the Prince tried to put the files inside her jacket and resumed pretending jogging. She quickly ran back to her palace. As soon as she reached there, the young woman hastily walked into her room and locked it. She was worried that even Sooyoung found out about this. She took out the binder from her jacket and huffed. “Here we go, Kim Hyoyeon.” On the first pages Taeyeon found Hyoyeon’s family background, education background, even to her job history. She learned that this Hyoyeon was close to her sister-in-law. The next pages were the ones that described her relationship with the singer. That was when Taeyeon knew that the little girl was hers. She dropped the folder; everything was clear now, Tiffany’s sudden hiatus, all secretive moves behind her back. She couldn’t help but to angry and her prime target is Yuri. The fuming Prince walked out from her room. “Where is Yuri?” She sternly asked Sooyoung who was busy preparing their breakfast. “I don’t know, U—Your Highness.“ Sooyoung changed her familiar tone when she saw the Prince expression. “Ask someone you know! NOW!” Sooyoung hurriedly took her comm. device and contacted her fellow assistants to check the new King whereabouts. “She’s at the rose garden, Your Highness.”
Taeyeon ran out from her palace to the destination told by Sooyoung. After a while finally she found her half sister in the garden. The guards bowed to Taeyeon, but she didn’t care. She lunged towards Yuri, grabbed her collars and threw her to the nearest pillar. “HOW LONG DO YOU PLAN TO HIDE EVERYTHING?” Yuri was confused. “Taeyeon…” She glanced at the guards who were ready to separate Taeyeon from her, she held her hand out to stop them. “What? Hiding what?” “Tiffany and Seohyun! Why did you hide my kid from me?! Why didn’t you tell me?!” Taeyeon was still fuming and still grabbing the King’s collar. “Taeyeon I can explain.” “What is there to explain?! I don’t even—ARGH!” The young prince punched Yuri right in the face. Exactly after that the guards charged towards her and held her away from the King. Yuri stumbled a few steps and brushed her lips to see a few drops of blood. “I deserve that. Let go of Prince Taeyeon, please.” Yuri told the guard and shifted to talk to her sister. “Can I talk to you somewhere else? I can explain, Taeyeon.” --Yuri led them to one of the study rooms in the palace. She sat across of the sulking and angry Taeyeon, ready to spill everything out. “First of all, I am terribly sorry.” Taeyeon scoffed and looked away. “Look, Taeyeon, I did what I did it was for the best, for Umma, for you, for Fany, for everyone. I didn’t want Umma’s men to hunt her down and had her forced to abort the baby. I didn’t want to have you running back here and left Umma there, you know how much you needed on Umma’s side. You should know by now that I would never ever wanted to hurt you. I always protect you, Taeyeon.”
Yuri paused. “Besides, I plan to change the rule that hindered you from marrying Tiffany. But I have to wait until I have full authority to change that. I don’t mean that I’m waiting for Umma to be gone.” She quickly added the latest part. “I wanted to tell you, but I have to endure it a bit more. At least until everything is settled.” “Wait, you what? Change the rule…?” Taeyeon asked. “We are no longer live in Umma’s era. I think we have to point out equality and I want to do that by changing that particular rule.” The anger soon receded when she heard the answer from her sister. Taeyeon moved to hug Yuri. “Thank you, sorry I punched you.” Yuri smiled and patted Taeyeon’s back. “It’s okay. But, you need a lot of begging to the ministers. Some of them are still disliking my proposal.” --The doorbell rang and Sunny ran to peek at the receiver. She loudly gasped when she saw who her guest was. “Who is it?” Fany asked. Instead of answering just rooted there, staring at the small monitor. “Sunny?” Fany called and took a peek as well. She was shocked. “Is that who I think it is?” Sunny slowly nodded. The doorbell rang again and both of them jumped. Sunny looked at Tiffany asking for her permission to buzz the guest in. “We should let her in, Fany.” “Okay. Okay. Imma go to my room.” Tiffany quickly walked inside her bedroom to touch up a bit. She wanted to look presentable in front of the prince.
“Hi.” Sunny greeted. “Long time no see, Your Highness.” “Hi Sunny. Yeah, long time no see.” Taeyeon offered her hand to shake. Sunny shook it. “You came alone?” “Yep. Sooyoung’s busy with something back at the palace. Hope you don’t mind.” “Nah, I’ll have a date with her on weekend anyway. Come in.” Sunny led the way throughout the Jung’s villa. “You must be tired, do you want something? Coffee maybe?” “Coffee sounds nice.” Taeyeon took a seat. “Uhm… Where’s Fany…?” “I’m here.” The prince quickly looked at the source of the voice. “H-hi F-fany…” She awkwardly smiled. “Can w-we talk?”
24: No Boundaries Taeyeon took a seat. “Uhm… Where’s Fany…?” “I’m here.” The prince quickly looked at the source of the voice. “H-hi F-fany…” She awkwardly smiled. “Can w-we talk?” “Uhm… Here’s the coffee.” Sunny put the cup on the table and sensing the tense aura. “I’m gonna check on Hyunnie. Have fun.” She grinned before fleeting away from the scene.
Tiffany watched her manager walked away until she disappeared inside the bedroom before asking, “What do you want to talk about?” She looked at the fidgeted Taeyeon. “I…” Taeyeon cleared her throat. “I know everything, Fany. I found it out yesterday.” “Everything? What do you mean by everything?” The prince glanced at the bedroom door. “I know that Seohyun is my daughter.” She stared Tiffany back. “How did you…” “I asked one of the investigators at the palace to check on Hyoyeon’s background and I stumbled upon Seohyun’s record. Why didn’t you tell me, Fany?” Tiffany opened her mouth after a couple of minutes of silence. “I talked to Jessica, and she told me about the consequences, and I asked her to hide me. Your family didn’t accept me, how do I expect them to accept Seohyun. Besides, you were not exactly here.” The young mother paused. “You didn’t even want to fight for me, I lose hope, Taeyeon, on you, on us.” Taeyeon lost of words. She went silence before finally could say, “I’m sorry, Fany. I didn’t know that it was very hard for you and Seohyun. I’m sorry. I promise from now on I will fight for you two no matter what happen.” “It’s too late, Taeyeon. I already stopped hoping.” “Wh-“ Taeyeon kneeled in front of Tiffany. “Please, Fany. I promise. I don’t want to lose you and Seohyun anymore. I want to build my future with you. I don’t even care if I have to be disowned by my family. All I want is to be with you, watching Seohyun grow up and spending the rest of my life with you.” She stared at Tiffany with much love, hoping that the latter would see her sincerity. “Please Fany, give me a chance. Let me fix us. Let me stay by your side. I can promise you I will not go anywhere. I’m here to stay, forever.” Tiffany bit her lip.
--“Where’s Taeyeon?” Jessica asked Sooyoung. Sooyoung quickly stopped her activity and bowed at Jessica. “I believe that Prince Taeyeon is at your villa, Your Majesty.” “Oh… She… uhm… She knew?” “Yes. I think she punched King Yuri when she found out.” Jessica raised her eyebrow. “So that’s why my husband got a bruise.” “Your Majesty didn’t tell you?” “She told me she ran to a wall. I should’ve known.” Jessica mumbled. “Uhm… So I assume she is currently begging Tiffany to come back to her life?” “Yes, Your Majesty.” “I hope everything went well. Enough drama for my sister.” “I hope so too, Your Majesty.” --“Good evening, Prime Minister.” Yuri smiled from her seat. The man bowed. “Good evening, Your Majesty.” “Thank you for coming on such a short notice.” Yuri gestured the man to sit down across her. “It will be my pleasure, Your Majesty. May I know what makes you to summon me here?” “Oh, I want to talk about the new regulation that I’ve been mentioned lately.” “About marriage?”
“About royal family marriage regulation.” She sipped her tea calmly. “So you see, we are living in a new era, I suggest that maybe we could give exemption to it.” “Yes, Your Majesty.” “I wanted to change that one particular rule that said royal family member could not be with or in a relationship with a commoner. In fact, I want it to be disappear from the list.” --“Please Fany…” Taeyeon was still begging. “I’ll do anything—everything. I know we still love each other. So please Fany…” Tiffany saw the sincerity. “One last chance, Taeyeon. I’m giving you one last chance.” “Thank you!” Taeyeon stood up and hugged Tiffany in reflex. She realized it a second passed by. “Sorry.” She let go and grinned. “So… How do we…?” “Let’s start getting to know each other again and let you to get closer to Seohyun.” Tiffany smiled. --“Dadad!” “Hyunnie!” Taeyeon quickly held Seohyun up. “Missed me, huh?” She said after she felt sloppy kisses on her cheeks. “I’ll call Fany.” “Wait, Sunny!” “Yes?” “I give Sooyoung a week off. Feed her, will you?” Taeyeon grabbed Sooyoung from outside and pushed her towards the girlfriend.
“Will do, Your Highness.” Sunny hugged her girlfriend. “Fany! Your fiancé is here!” “Good morning, Your Highness.” Fany appeared from her bedroom, freshly showered. “Hi, you look beautiful.” “Thank you.” She smiled. “Ready to meet my family?” Tiffany nodded. “Yes.” “Let’s go.” --“Your Majesty.” Taeyeon greeted and bowed. “Hi! Where’s your girlfriend?” Jessica asked after hugging her sister in-law. “She’s right outside. Where’s your Seobang?” “Getting Yoong—Oh there they are!” “Your Majesty King Yuri.” Taeyeon smiled and bowed. “And Your Highness Crown Prince Yoonaaa~~” She playfully bowed before pecking the little one’s forehead. “Where’s Tiffany?” Yuri asked. “Oh yeah. Wait!” Taeyeon dashed out to get her girlfriend and went back in a flash. “I hereby, officially introduce my girlfriend, Hwang Tiffany, to you, Your Majesty.” Tiffany shyly bowed he second she heard the cue from her girlfriend. Seeing that, Yuri and Jessica chuckled on how cute she acted.
The King then guided them to the lounge to have their conversation. “So, how are you, Tiffany?” Yuri asked. “I am very good at the moment, Your Majesty. Thank you for asking.” “Let’s drop the formality, shall we?” Yuri suggested. “It’s nice to have you here both. To see you two doing well. How’s Seohyun, anyway?” “She’s very clever. Maybe we should arrange a play date for Yoona and Seohyun.” Taeyeon answered. “Really? That sounds like a plan.” Jessica replied. “Yoong must be very happy to see another baby around her age. Aren’t you, Yoong?” The mother got a giggle as her answer. “So plan for Seohyun and Yoong is complete, how about you two? What are your plans?” “Our plans?” Tiffany confused. She threw a glance at Taeyeon who was smiling. Taeyeon took the opportunity to hold her girlfriend’s hand. “Now that you will sign the new marriage regulation, which means that we would have no more boundaries, I think…” She looked at Tiffany. “I think I will chained my self down with her. Forever.” “Aaaww… Seobang! Look at them! They’re so cute.” Jessica adored. “I’m cuter. We are much much much muuuuuucchhhh cuter, Your Majesty.” Yuri said. That made the four of them laugh. --“So you’re not going to kneel and propose me?” Tiffany suddenly asked when they were walking in the palace’s garden. “Huh? What for? I thought you already know my intention when I asked you back then.”
“And I thought I’m dating a romantic prince. You went all out cheesy went you tried to make me fall for you with those pink lunch boxes and yummy cookings. Then why no proposal to me?” “It’s different. Now you know my aim, why should I propose you?” Taeyeon chuckled. She then looked at the silent Tiffany. “You want me to do that?” Tiffany nodded. “Seriously?” Tiffany nodded again. “Yes. Now.” Taeyeon stopped their track and broke their entwined hands. “Now? Fany, I don’t even have the ring.” “It doesn’t always mean you have to propose with a ring, Your Highness.” Tiffany approached Taeyeon and brushed her cheeks. “I just want you to went all out on me like those days.” Taeyeon sighed. “This girl… I can’t…” She shook her head. “Wait here.” The prince left to find something for her unprepared proposal. She looked around the garden and spotted small pink daisies. She thought for a second before took one stem and folded it in a way it could be a ring. Then the older girl went back to her lover. She then kneeled down on one knee. Tiffany was already blushing when she saw Taeyeon kneeling down. Taeyeon held out a hand, gesturing Tiffany to place her own on it. She then cleared out her throat and looked up to lock her gaze at Tiffany. “Tiffany Hwang…” She began. “My princess, my favorite singer, mother of my child, my love, my universe, my everything…” Taeyeon smiled. “Words can’t describe how lucky and thankful I am to have you in my life.” The Prince paused. “I have been dreaming to have this moment to share with you. To make you understand, to let you know, that I love you, that I want to spend the rest of my life with you, that I want to make you the happiest woman on earth, that I want to have a family with you.”
Taeyeon stopped again to see Tiffany teared up by her words. “So here I am now, on my bended knee, asking you to marry me. Tiffany, my princess, my love…” She paused to show her custom flower ring. “Do you want to build your future with me? To marry me? To grow old and have wrinkles together? And to raise Seohyun so I can teach her to be dorky like me?” The last sentence made the teary Tiffany giggled. “Yes, yes, yes, and yes.” She nodded. Taeyeon quickly slipped the ring onto her girlfriend’s finger and stood up. “I love you, princess.” She kissed her lips lovingly. “I love you too.”
