NOTICE The Northern District Fair (NDF) Board and / or Cadillac Area Livestock Committee reserves the right to require any animal shown in this Fair to be subject to examination and / or testing, as deemed necessary, in order to determine if a foreign substance has been administered to an animal to alter its conformation, weight, and / or temperament or to test for bovine TB. Administering of any such substance will be considered by the NDF Board to be fraud, which is subject to a penalty of up to $50,000 or up to 5 years’ imprisonment or both, if convicted. It is a violation of Federal and State laws to sell any animal which may enter the food chain that has been altered and / or that has present any drug residue. By entering animals in the NDF, you are agreeing to submit to any testing required. Failure to submit your animal for any testing will be cause for immediate disqualification. All monies earned will be forfeited and exhibitor and / or exhibitor’s family may be banned from future NDF participation, as deemed necessary by the NDF Board of Directors. The NDF Board will accept formal protests as a means of initiating a drug / substance test. Any person can make a complaint; they must do so in writing, along with submitting a fee not to exceed $500 and not less than $45. If the complaint proves to be substantiated by positive results, this fee will be refunded to the complainant. But if complaint is not sustained, the deposit shall be forfeited.
