Cruz, Cruiser G. CEIT ± 19 ± 601P At my first day of training, Mr. Orlie Dela Cruz; my supervisor, oriented me to the job that he will assign to me and he also take me a tour in all facilities and rooms of NYK FIL. Bldg. He took me to the room of the main server of the company and he taught me the parts and application of the main server, after that he tells me the proper attire and the rules of the company. At the first day of my on-the-job-training, I did not know how to react and I do not even know the people in the office. I was just quiet. Most of the employees e mployees there were jokers and they were so nice to the trainees like me so I felt happy and comfortable co mfortable in the department I was assigned to. My second day of training, my supervisor taught me some topic and lesson about IP addressing; he gave guidelines and ideas about it subjects. Later on he let me applied all of this into my assigned job. My third day of training, I applied all lessons that my supervisor taught me. The first thing I did is i nstalling programs for configuring connections of all computers. On the job training or OJT is one method by which students is given a chance to apply the theories and computations that they have learned from the school. It also helps the students to acquire relevant knowledge and skills by performing in actual work setting. Colleges and universities require their students to undergo such training within a specific number of hours as part of the curriculum. For the students, an OJT or internship program provides opportunities to go through the actual methodologies of a specific job using the real tools, equipments and documents. In effect, the workplace becomes a development venue for a student trainee to learn more about his chosen field and practice what he has learn from academy. On the other hand, an effective OJT program also benefits the companies who accept trainees. First OJT or intern provides additional manpower for a lesser labor cost than a regular employee. Most of them are all eager to learn the ropes so chances are high that they will cooperate. Employers can use this internship strategy as a method in recruiting new employees. Since the trainer or the supervisor s upervisor can follow the trainees progress, he can gauge based on performance, behavior and attitude if the trainee will make a good recruit after the completion of his internship. OJTs can bring fresh ideas into the organization. Given the opportunity to speak their minds freely and without fear, they may be able to contribute significantly in brainstorming sessions or research and eventually help improve the organizations productivity. While training the

interns, employers are in fact also teaching their employees to process of guiding the trainees stretches their patience, develops teaching skills and makes them more sensitive to the needs and mind set of the younger generation. The course of supervision also teaches them how to share what they know and be receptive to questions. Hence, the internship also becomes an avenue in training for future managers of the company. Accommodating on-the-job trainees can truly be beneficial not only to the trainees but also to the companies that provide opportunities for this type of learning. There is wisdom in the front lines. Such training can be an investment that will be valuable to the company later on. This is also why trainees should take their internship seriously as it can become a powerful tool and possibly even a source of recommendation when they take that big lift from being students to career professionals. I learned that on-the-job training is not just only a subject to be passed or a requirement to be completed but on-the-job training is an opportunity to show what skills, talents and techniques that the student learned from the school and also an opportunity to experience the life outside the campus. We have to responsible enough on the task given to us. You should accept your weaknesses. Time is very important. As early as you do your work, you finish it an earlier time that you can do such things by helping others. You should not be afraid to ask questions if you do not know what to do to avoid faultiness in your work. Engineering is a career based on logical, systematic problem solving, generally in high-tech, industrial, or scientific fields. In the society, people have to fit in the world by using good ethics for the others. Also, it goes same way to the good engineers to understand the other engineers. It is crucial in the engineer world that they need to think about what they are missing or conducting their rules to make better products or technologies for the society. I was able to gather the necessary information and learn that electronic engineering is a discipline under electrical engineering. With the combination of both electrical engineering and computer, one must keep in mind that electronic engineering approaches both the software and hardware aspects of the career choice.

This type of electrical engineering focuses on

digital logic system rather than radio frequency or electronics.

There are various areas of 

specialty which range from digital control theory, semiconductor, digital signal processing, computer architecture, and software to name a few. The growth of technology opens many more opportunities for jobs, especially electronic communication engineers.
