NARRATIVE REPORT ON ICT TRAINING Information and Communication Technology or ICT has been part of the teachinglearning process especially now that we are in the 21 st century. Teachers make use of computer-assisted instruction. Microsoft Word is used in making reports, Microsoft Excel is used in making grades, Microsoft Powerpoint is used in making presentations of lessons, and Publisher is used in layouting bulletin boards and displays. These are just some of the many ways ICT is being used in education. In two days, the Mambungalon Elementary School and Cayucyucan Elementary School cluster to train teachers who are in need and need more improvement about ICT skills. The speakers were the teachers from the two schools who are knowledgeable in those skills. The training was held in the Computer room of Mambungalon Elementary School on October 29 – 30, 2015. The participants had a chance to apply the inputs given to them by the discussants because they were infront of computers of the laboratory. Some also brought their own laptops. The first day, October 29, 2015, started with the registration of the participants. We had a total of 12 teachers from Mambungalon Elementary School and 5 teachers from Cayucyucan Elementary School. The training was graced by a doxology through a Powerpoint presentation. Mrs. Purita Z. Aberia opened the program and a message was given by our principal Mrs. Minerva A. Juria. It was followed by the training proper. The first discussant was Mrs. Aileen A. Manalaysay who talked about the Basic Operations of the computer. She taught the participants about the basic opening and closing of the computer, finding the programs in the computer, and the like. The second discussant was Ms. Jennifer B. Gallego who talked all about Microsoft Word. She taught the participants the basic encoding, inserting tables, pictures, wordarts, page borders, and the shortcut keys to make things a lot faster and easier. Lunch break was followed. A little unfreezing was done were the teachers followed the Zumba dance presented on the white screen. Then, resume of the training was given by the last discussant, Ms. Karen Kichelle N. Evia. She talked about Microsoft Excel. She taught the participants the basic formulas in computing, necessary in making test results and analysis. On the second day, October 30, 2015, Mrs. Sonia Y. Almazan gave a recap of the activities that happened on the first day.

The first discussant was Mrs. Aiza J. Gueta. She discussed about Microsoft Powerpoint. The participants were taught about making a powerpoint presentation. She taught the participants of inserting texts and pictures, choosing the design, and adding transitions and animations. The second discussant was Mrs. Maria Carmela D. Andrade. She taught the participants about layouting especially in making display and bulletin board. The training was a success HAR HAR XD
