Ensure that the motor is clean and dry. End bells, covers, filters, and accessories shall be firmly attached.

Check visually if the conduits, bushings are sealed

Rotate the motor shaft manually (if possible) to ensure that the rotor moves freely, without rubbing

Verify that the motor protection circuits have been set and all protective relays tested

Ensure that motor cables checked and tested
