Fiber Optic cable Testing procedure Using Arc FusionSplicer-FSM-60S Fiber optic cable fusion splicing provides the lowest-db loss. Special equipment called Arc fusion splicer is used to perform the ber fusion splicing. High precision arc fusion splices are using to achieve lowest db loss. This equipment can be used for dierent t!pe of ber"s S#$ ##%.etc.

Sur"ace #leaning-se a ell! or other cleaner to clean the ber cable. /. #leaning-+lean the ber cores with pure 01123 alcohol. +lean the ber with high qualit! alcohol because dust partials from the ber coating surface can be enter inside the protection sleeve and might result in a future ber brea4.

5. Slee$es - 'lace the required length protection sleeve each core

carefull!. 6. Fiber Stripping - )emove outer coating of ber cores required length as per ber t!pe with a precision stripping tool. +lean the bared ber core with pure 01123 alcohol.

7. #lea$ing- Set the stripped ber on the cleaver to cleave the ber. 'roper cleaving is a main important step for a good result.

8. Start- +lean the equipment before starting the wor4. se select mode for determine ber cable t!pe if ber t!pe is not identied to select Auto splice mode.

1. Mounting-Set the cleaved ber core onto the ber holder with protruding required length as per the ber t!pe &9.

Align%ent & Splicing-:oading the ber to the arc Fusion

splicer between the v-groove edge and tip of electrode. After completion of ber automatic alignment arc discharge is performed to splice the bers.

completion of splicing. Splice loss is aected b! certain factors.

protection sleeve.
