WORK SEQUENCE 5.1 Identify the loose concrete and honeycombs defective area 5.2 The affected defective area is cleaned, brushed, hammered or chiselled to remove the loose concrete and small particle such as sands and dusts. 5.3 Hack off all the loose concrete until sound and solid concrete is achieved. 5.4 All the leftover concrete dust is then washed away with water or blown using compressed air. This is to ensure good bonding between the concrete and the repair material. 5.5 Ensure that the surface is clean and free from oil, grease or any loose material. 5.6 Non-shrink grout SikaGrout 215 is then mixed according to the supplier’s instructions: i. Pre-dose the required volume of clean water into a clean mixing vessel. For a flowable mix, use 3.60l – 4.00l of water per 25kg bag. Add the powder slowly into the pre-measured clean water and mix mechanically for at least 3 minutes with a slow speed mixer or until a smooth, uniform consistency is achieved. ii. Place about 70% - 80% of the premeasured clean water (depending on consistency required - refer to mix ratio) into a clean container and gradually add the whole bag of SikaGrout – 215 into it while continuously mixing. Add the remaining water until the desired consistency is obtained. iii. Mix for 2 to 3 minutes with a slow speed drill (500 rpm max). 5.7 5.8 5.9
