Introduction

This is the book for your students! It contains a one-of-a-kind collection of activities that reinforce

basic math skills. I have thoughtfully selected activities to stimulate, fascinate, and challenge students to be active learners. These activities provide students with practice problems requiring logical thinking as well as computation application. Do your students think that math is just adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing? These pages offer a variety of math activities that do not involve those operations and many that do. There is no particular sequence required for presenting the activities in this book. When you wish to teach or reinforce a specific topic, simply look it up in the table of contents. The contents page is arranged in a sequence appearing in most sixth, seventh, and eighth grade math textbooks. I want students to enjoy math. That is why every page is designed differently, many featuring cartoon drawings and characters. Every topic is a name for the student doing the math. So it is, that the student using numbers on page 6 is a Number User. The student solving the problems on page 17 is a Digit Fitter, and so on. I am a retired teacher (kindergarten through high school) and author of a variety of educational books for children. I hope that you and your students enjoy this book as much as I have enjoyed writing and illustrating it.
