The aim is to automate its existing manual system by the help of computerized equipments and full-fledged computer software,

fulfilling

their

requirements,

so

that

their

valuable data/information can be stored for a longer period with easy accessing and manipulation of the same. This project, “MEDICAL STORE SYSTEM” also a step towards offering more or less the similar features. This system enables to manage and record the activities of whole medical Shop of multi-facility skills only. It enables the other staff to provide their services in a more systematic and efficient manner, hence improving the goodwill of concerned institution. This helps the administrator

to

analyze

upon

the

performance

of

institution.

Objectives of the Project The main objectives behind the development of this project are as follows:

To assist the medical shop keeper and wholesalers in

capturing the effort spent on their respective working areas. 2)

To utilize human resource of the institution in an

efficient manner by increasing their productivity through automation. 3)

Being provided on the intranet the administrators can

monitor the medical shop’s activity right from their own desktop. This will let them take managerial decisions. 4)

The system generates a number of types of reports

that can be then used for various managerial and administrative purposes. 5)

It also gives a brief picture of the institution’s

progress. 6)

Helps in keeping track of all the activities of the

medical agency like login/logout time, security related activities,

etc.

USED MODULES REGISTRATION

The operator would enter the name of the medicine if that name exists in medicine ENTRY Table all the details of the customer with a new medicine entry module will appears which get store in the MEDICINE_ENTRY Table and in the case of a new customer operator will fill the detailed information of the customer in CUSTOMER_ENTRY Table. STOCK

This module deals with the entry of the medicines which is taken by the particular supplier. This module is used to bring new medicine including the information of medicine such as

price, quantity, profit percent, etc. NEW MEDICINE

This module is to be used by agency keeper. Basically used for Add new medicines available in market disrupted by the doctors and to be enlist the number of medicine. In this module functions related to items are done. For ex. Addition of new

item,

deletion

and

modification

of

existing

item,

generation of item list etc. Purchasing of items from the supplier by giving them order. SUPPLIER

This module deals with the sale of medicines for the desired customers and generating various reports such as Sale Repot, Stock Report, etc

LIMITATIONS Time available for the project work approximately three months. Normally within such a short span of time, many of facilities couldn’t be included in this software. The limitations of the software are:  This project only works for stand-alone. It does not work on LAN and WAN.  This system should not be taken as a tool to assist the Vendors in selling or selection of product. In other words it is not a type of Expert System.  As its title indicates, the project aims at automating the service aspects of the medicine. It is only meant for out Customer dealing.  It also does not cover any in house delivery processing as would be typical of Vendors/Company. It is only meant for a simple shop where out Customers. 

This project is only made for providing the invoices rose against the MEDICAL SHOP SYSTEM and to analyze the service.

 This project generates various service reports of the company, customers, Medicine and helps the company administrator to analyze the status of the specific product.

FUTURE SCOPE OF THE PROJECT If we consider an organization, it seems to be an integration of many functions. As we see that there is a lot of work performed by organization that produces some product but here we are only concerned with Product Service and Maintenance. This software, in its current scope, basically enables to automate his/her stock records and ensures smooth management

of

Product

Service

and

Maintenance

Department. The organization has so many departments and its time is too costly, particularly when there is a long queue of customer, and waiting for the information about their Product. Payment of the product service as per the rules of warranty, it quit difficult for the employee of the organization to manage and to provide the information about the product status, a little mistake can be lost of thousand or lakes so removing all these type of mistakes and anomalies this software is developed, this project is very useful when a old customer came with receipt number and give some product for service this project will show all information of the customer and the product within seconds, on which further operation can be done. o It manages the details of medicine. o It manages the details of receipt. o It manages the details of report. o It also manages the details of medicine provide to the customer.
