1. INTRODUCTION We are developing this software for Hotel Management by using Computer and Networking technology. This software is being developed for Siddharth Hotel Rajgir. Now, in this hotel all the booking is managed manually. We will facilitate “Booking Management,” “Payroll Management,” “Billing System,” “Attendance Management,” “Restaurant Management,” “Accounts Management” and “Inventory Management.” This will help the hotel management personnel to easily monitor and manage the quality of service and employee. This software will also help the Hotel Owner to track the profit and loss of the business.

1.1 Background This Hotel is using manual booking, billing, inventory, payroll management which takes lot of man power. Booking is managed by Receptionist, Billing and Inventory managed by accountant and payroll is managed by Manager itself.

1.2 Objectives  Booking Management: - This module will help the booking personnel to easily manage and book the rooms in hotel. This module will provide the complete list and options to check availability and reserve the room with a “Graphical Interface”.  Payroll Management: - This module will help the accountant to calculate salary and keep record of employee payment details.  Billing System: - This module will generate bill for the hotel customer according to the booking details. This system module also manages the billing of Restaurant products.  Accounts Management: - This module keep record and generate reports on demand of transactions, it also manages the creation of various report like total income, total expense, income from booking, income from restaurant etc.  Attendance Management: - This module keep record of the employee attendance which also help in creating payroll of the employee.  Restaurant Management: - This module keeps record of the restaurant supplies.  Inventory Management: - This module manages the hotel inventory of the assets used in hotel. It also manages the purchasing new items and selling old items. It also generates report of available assets in hotel.

1.3 Purpose and Scope 1.3.1

Purpose

Purpose of this software project is to avail the latest technology to hotel management, so they can easily manage their working with the help of this software. It also reduces the use of various book management which is hard to keep safe. But the main purpose is to make working faster and error free. There is also a major purpose of this software which is security of information related to business. 1.3.2

Scope

Presenting this system is not the end point to its functionality. It can be design to work out in a more effective way. It can be design to improve performance in future by making the system online that is web based application on Client Server Architecture.
