INSTRUCTIONS Answer all questions.

QUESTIONS Question 1 Discuss the differences between a leader and a manager. Justify whether a manager can be a leader in an organisation. [20 marks] Question 2 Lewin (1951) argued that all too often change is short-lived. After a “shot in the arm”, life returns to the way it was before. Discuss the issues that affect sustainability and what change manager can do to help to sustain the change in the organisation. [20 marks] Question 3 Describe the “Open Systems models and Alignment” as one of the diagnostic models adopted in an organisation diagnosis. [20 marks]

Question 4 Most of the texts on “managing change” include a list of “nature of change”. Explain the rationale why different types of change might be relevant for different organisations by using appropriate theory and research. [40 marks]
