Qu’on le veuille ou non, depuis qu’il est sorti de la clandestinité, le cinéma porno est devenu l’un des grands genres cinématographiques du divertissement populaire, à côté du thriller , du du film d’horreur, de la comédie sentimentale etc. Il est tout à fait insuffisant de définir un genre par les réactions qu’il est censé susciter chez les spectateurs (en l’occurrence l’excitation sexuelle). De même, il est insuffisant de le définir par son « iconographie » i.e. les différentes performances sexuelles et la manière dont elles sont filmées. Postface éditoriale... La rentrée étant la période où paraissent le   plus d’ouvrages, j’ai eu vite fait de remplir les 30 pages de ce numéro. J’ai donc dû sacrifier  une partie du récit de guerre (le cinéma), le western, le roman historique et les écrits sur  les bandes dessinées. La littérature jeunesse n’est représentée que par un seul livre. Il est  bien fini le temps où les études, essais et  monographies sur les littérature de genre étaient denrée rare. Aujourd’hui, la moindre série télévisée provoque un déluge de commentaires, guides autorisés ou non, et  autres retombées secondaires. Il devient de   plus en plus difficile de suivre cette production de masse. J’en remercie d’autant plus mes correspondants Jean-Louis Sarro, Roger  Bozzetto,Françoise Hache-Bissette, Thomas Przybilka, toujours fidèles au poste, et dont    j’apprécie la précieuse collaboration.
