The optical system in our blocker consists of aa Image channel and a refractive channel. The image channel provides an observation image, the refractive channel measures the center and the refractive powers of a lens. The refractive channel moves forward and backward while it measures a lens.

④ Relay lenses assey ⑤ CCD camera ⑥ pin hole mask : split a light to four signals signals ⑦ mm Lens : Converge and foucs signals ⑧ CMOS camera :
When there is no lens (0D state), parallel light that has transmitted the collimator lens passes the 4 pinhole and makes image on CCD. In case of convex lens (lens with plus diopter), parallel light that has transmitted the collimator lens converges through the measuring lens, passes the 4 pinhole and then makes image on CCD. On the other hand, in case of concave lens (lens with minus diopter), parallel light that has transmitted the collimator lens diverges through the measuring lens and then passes the 4 pinhole and at last makes image im age on CCD.
While a refractive channel is on the home position, an Image channel gets consecutive images. The images are shown at a screen or are tranfered to an image processing engine to execute several jobs.

Although the cross marker of a optic center is correct at the display, if the blocked position is incorrect for lenses marked with 3 dots, progressive lenses or bi-focal lenses, it is needed for you to calibrate the blocking position.
Step 1. Put an adaptor at the adaptor holder. Step 2. Put the lens supporter for the Digital Scanning on the normal lens supporter. Step 3. Click “BLK CENTER” button at “MENU > CALIBRATION > BLOCKER” page. Step 4. If the red cross marker and a center hole of the adaptor aren’t coincided as you see in the above picture, move the cross marker to locate the center of the hole using 4 arrow buttons at the bottom. Step 5. If you moved the cross marker, press the save button at a top area to apply your calibration. Step 6. If you repeat from Step 1 to Step 4, you can identify whether your calibration is done correctly or not.
Although the cro ss marker of a optic center is correct at the display, if the bl ocked axis is incorrect for 3 dot marked lenses, progressive lenses or bi-focal l enses, it is needed for you to calibrate the blocking axi s.
Step 1. Reset the misaligned angle 0 at “FACTORY MENU>BLOCKER”Step 2. Mark a lens with a cylindrical power using your lensmeter. Step 3. Go into “Calibration > BLOCKER” page. Step 4. Put the lens to be placed at the center of the cross and paralleled along the horizontal line. Step 4. Click “BLK CENTER” button. Step 5. Take Take it out and exami ne the blocked angle. Step 6. Go into “FACTORY MENU > BLOCKER” page. Step 6. Apply the misaligned angle at the “Shift Angle”Step 7. Press the save button to apply to your c alibration. Step 8. Repeat from Step 4 to Step 7 to fi t up the blocking axis.
Auto Blocker CAB-4000
Although the blocked position for a 3 dot marked lens, a progressive lens or a bi-focal lens are correct, a PD or an optic height for an optic lens are incorrect , it is needed for you to calibrate the center of the internal lensmeter. .
Step 1. Mark a lens with from SPH –1D ~ -3D, CYL=0D using your lensmeter. Step 2. Go into the lensmeter calibration display clicking “Calibration > LENSMETER” buttons Step 3. Press ‘D’ button and Press “LIVE IMAGE”, “SHOW INFO” and “LM MODE”. Step 4. Place the lens to be X and Y less than 0.03 at the bottom area.

How to upgrade the OS program
Downloading program for CAB-4000 with RS232 cable (Blocker RS232) provides downloading function of the firmware software from PC to Blocker, CAB-4000 with serial cable
An administrator of the Blocker hardware can receive the Firmware by e-mail or else and load it to his/her Blocker by this downloading program when the new upgrade version of firmware comes out. If there is PC with Windows operating system and serial cable connected to the Blocker, with simple process about 5 to 10 minutes, he/she can upgrade the performance of his/her Blocker without sending and receiving it to the agency.
This downloading program is DNW application.
Check the following items before installing and running this software:
Version of the Blocker
COM port number of the PC connected to the Blocker
Connection status of the serial cable on your PC and Blocker
New firmware binary image file for the Blocker
See the operation manual for the Blocker to learn how to connect PC and Blocker with serial cable.
Copy the DNW application files. DNW consists of two files : the executable file(= dnw.exe), the configuration file(= dnw.ini ). It is no need to install it in your desktop computer. Therefore just copy the files to the specified directory. Execute the DNW application.
Set up the configuration. Click the
