Quick reference guide SD Central Controlling Device

I. Introducti I ntroduction on SD is quite easy to operate. The way to operate it is similar to cell phones. The function of Key 1 and Key 2 are correspondingly as the indication in the lower-left and the lower-right on the LCD. Thus you can operate it according to the words on LCD easily. easily. In order to facilitate the use of the central controlling device, SD central controlling device upgrades many advanced designs. It applies SD card as the vector to update data of the system. A USB interface and a piece of SD card can be availed to update the data in the central controlling device easily. Humming is a hint for the button setting. If the humming doesn't work, it means the key isn't pressed yet. Front operating table is shown as fig.1.1.

1. Function Selecting

Select and confirm the menu function. The function is corresponding to the

indication in the lower-left of the LCD screen. Key 1 can be used to unlock the keyboard too. 2. Cancel and Return

Quit the present task and back to the menu one level up. The function is

corresponding to the indication in the lower-left of the LCD screen. 3. Page up

Browse the pages ahead.

4. Page down

Browse the pages below. below. Key 4 can also be used to unlock the keyboard.

5. Shift Up / Down 6. Trigger SOS

Shift between the uplink and downlink information.

If “SOS=2”(shown in System Parameter),the key is used to trigger the function of SOS; if ”SOS=3”,the key need to work with external switch to trigger the function of SOS.

II. Operation of the Function Menu The description hereinafter are about the operation of the function menu of the SD Central Controlling Device. Please connect the central controlling device to the LED screen. The interface of the central controlling device will be introduced in Part III. 1. Unlock the Keyboard

In order to work properly, this central controlling device has been set with automatically locking function. Keyboard should get unlocked after long-term stand-by before you use it. Press Key 1 and then press Key 4 will unlock the keyboard. Caution!

Shift Up / Down is also available even if the keyboard is locked. The LCD indication (lock

and unlock) are shown as fig.2.1.1 (the line information is for reference only)

2. Update the lines date

Copy the data file of the lines (files with extension name td5) to the top level directory of the SD card by using card reader. And then insert the SD card into the SD card slot. Press F1 to enter the function menu after unlocking the keyboard. The prompting message of the menu to update the lines date is shown as fig.2.2.1.

Fig.2.2.1 Update the Table of Lines While the lines need to update, press Key 1 and enter the function of updating lines date. Then you will find “select rute file”and prompt message for the file name of data files. (If there isn 't data file in the SD card or data files aren’t in the top level directory, it will be error and displays error message.) Shown as fig.2.2.2.

2.2.2 Updating the Line Information Enter the SD card information, and then select the files which you want to update in the Lines Table by using Page Up / Down. Press Key 1 to confirm the file you select. You can check the updating progress with the progress bar. The prompt message “Download OK”will be displayed when updating ends. Press Key 1 to confirm and quit Caution!

Please make sure the SD card insert into the SD card slot during the process of updating. Draw

out the SD card when the updating ends up. In addition, due to the limitation of the LCD size of the central controlling device, data file names with overlength cannot be overall displayed on the LCD screen. In order to display the overall file names, you'd better not name it wi th a long name. 3. Query Board Hard

In this function list, the ways to operate the eight submenus "Front", "Rear Inter", "Inter", "Side3","Side2","Rear Side","Side"and "Rear" are exactly the same. Take the "Front" as an example. Connect the central controlling device to the anterior board (interface and ways to connect it will be introduced in Part III). And then turn to page“Query Board Hard”and press Key 1 to enter the "Front". Press Key 1 again and select " Query ", you will see the version of the size and software and hardware information of the LED board. Press Key 2 to return. shown as fig.2.3.1.

2.3.1 4.Check Connect

Turn to page”Check Connect”and press Key1 to enter the state of Board connecting,which is shown as:

F C3 RETURN 5. Set LCD Contrast

Turn to page“set LCD contrast”and press Key 1 to enter the state of setting LCD contrast. Which is shown as fig.2.5.1.

Press Key 3 to increase the LCD contrast, Key 4 to decrease LED contrast brightness. Press Key 1 to confirm and quit. Caution!

The contrast of the LCD is capable of meeting the users' demand. Users’ resetting this item is

not encouraged. 6. System Parameter

Turn to page“Sys Parameter”in function list, and then press Key 1 to check the

system information. Press Key 2 to go back to the previous level. The inquiry for system parameter information is shown as fig.2.6.1.

Copy the data file of the Hardware Setting Center Controller (files with extension name tdh.) to the top level directory of the SD card by using card reader. And then insert the SD card into the SD card slot. Press F1 to enter the function menu. The prompting message of the menu to update firmware is shown as fig.2.7.1. Caution! The top level directory of the SD card must have one and only one data file of the Hardware

Setting Center Controller. If not , when updating firmware, the fist copy file will be called only.

Press Key 2 to enter the table of Lines in the top level menu (the menu unlocked). Select the line name you will set as the present line by using Page Up / Down key. Press Key 1 and select “DETAIL”, and then press Key 1 to select “HANDLE". At last press Key 1 to confirm and quit. Prompt messages are shown as fig.2.8.1.

Key 5 is available for you to shift between the uplink and downlink. Shift Up / Down is also available even if the keyboard is locked.
