Pull black yarn from the inside through the gap between yellow and white part and embroider 2 stripes as shown in photos above

7* Assembly: 7.1* Paw, Thigh, and Tail Stripes: Description: Use black yarn to embroider stripes on paw and thigh before attach them to the body. Make a knot at the end of the yarn tail before begin.

Pull black yarn through yarn needle, make a knot at the end of the tails.

Embroider 2 black stripes on each thigh, tie the yarn tail behind the thigh securely. Do the same with tail part.

Claws on the Tip of the Paw Pull yarn needle with red yarn (make a knot at the end of yarn tail) from the lower part to upper part through the tip of the paw between Rnd 3-4 from begin. Then, insert yarn needle from the lower part through the upper part again with 2 stitches away from previous position. Finally, secure the rest of the red yarn with beginning position of the claws. Roll the tip of paw down and tie it with white yarn securely (follow photos)

7.3* Stuff Fiberfill: Description: Stuff fiberfill to raised and normal paws. Sew up hole on normal paw before attach it to the body.

Tips for Embroider Lips Use red embroidery floss to embroider lips, follow photos illustrated. Pull floss through lips position loosely in order to form half circle shape lips later. You can use a bit “all purpose glue” to help shaping lips.

7.5* Assemble Body: Description: Begin with assembling thigh beside the belly. First of all, insert yarn needle with yarn tail left from crocheting thigh through the stitch beside the last stitch of thigh. Then, put the thigh to position on left and right side. Keep sewing up thigh and belly together about 80%, stuff fiberfill and continue working untill finish. Sew up claws between thigh and body, hide yarn tail left from assembling through the thigh.

Shorter Part

Embroider 2 black stripes on the long part and then attach tail to the bottom of the body. Sew up long part to the front stitch of body pattern’s Rnd 6, stitch by stitch. Then, sew up the shorter part to the body securely.

7.6* Assemble Body and Head: Description: Put the head on the neck part of the body, pin them together, using sewing pin. Then, use yarn tail left from crocheting the body to sew up head and body together stitch by stitch securely. Pull yarn tail left through the back of the neck and cut off.

Attach both paws, hide yarn tail left from assembling through the neck part. Sew up normal paw to belly for Maneki Neko A and B.

8* Red Cushion : Description: To make the red cushion for Maneki Neko, you’ll have to finish 2 pieces of solid granny square works. Then, attach them together to form a square cushion. Follow photos and descriptions. Beginning: Crochet 6 chains and slip stich with the beginning to form a ring, then crochet 3 chains.

Note: Once you’ve finish crocheting the body, you can select which side should be the front side so that the cat’s head tilts naturally.

Round 1: Crochet “19 dc” into the ring (the first 3 chains is counted as 1 stitch, so this round has total 20 stitches)

7.7* Put on Collar:

Put the collar on the cat’s neck. Insert yarn tails left from crocheting the collar to secure both ends together. Let’s the golden bell hanging on the middle of cat’s neck.
