Each and every season we start afresh. We ask ourselves tough questions about existing designs, and dream about new solutions. Our benchmark is the products we have made for nearly 40 years, and we push ourselves constantly to bring innovative ideas and new technologies to you.

Women's packs Launched in 2005 our dedicated line of women's packs has already gained top reviews. For 2006 we've added 5 new products - including the top-end Zanskar - and tweaked existing models to make this the most comprehensive women's line available (page 8).

This season we have continued our commitment to simplicity with clean designs in both packs and apparel that are lighter, simpler and more functional than ever. Our philosophy is to design gear so that you forget what you're carrying or wearing. Run, hike, bike, ski or climb, this approach allows you to truly connect with the experience.

Base layer A worldwide success story, the continued international success of Dryflo® hasn't seen us rest. This Spring our Dryflo® line features new Dual Fiber™ garments plus the introduction of anti-odor and anti-microbial protection (page 10).

Technical shells Our new hard shell garments utilize the full range of GORE-TEX® fabrics and technologies - better fit, better breathability, better functionality. Plus our Spring line of soft shell garments includes Polartec® Power Shield® and our own Stormweave™ performance fabric (pages 3, 4, 6).

Grepon Jacket

Our Grepon Jacket is the ultimate shell for lightweight alpinism. A combination of lightweight GORE-TEX® PACLITE® and extra-durable GORE-TEX® XCR® fabrics with micro-taped seams give greater breathability and reduced weight, while the Helix™ under-arm panel allows massive 'reach-high' mobility. Add the Swivel Sight™ hood and Watershed™ seamless shoulders and you've got a true tool for the vertical world. The Alpine Ascent Pant is a technical soft-shell pant combining maximum durability with huge freedom of movement. A new version of Lowe Alpine's Stormweave™ fabric is reinforced with stretch abrasion-resistant nylon in key areas, and the pants use extra-stretchy nylon/Lycra® panels for maximum mobility. The Warm Zone Ninja Hoody is the ultimate mid-layer for high-mountain ascent. The fully contoured hood retains precious heat while the unique Warm Zone® body-mapping design means optimized insulation wherever heat loss is most prevalent. One chest pocket and a full front zip complete this slim fitting, performance layer.

The Mountain Attack 30 Hyperlite is the lightest 30 liter climbing pack in the line, boasting a removable padded waist belt for ease of use with a harness, removable bivy pad and Hypalon® compression panels. The Load Locker™ alloy buckle is easy to use with gloves or mitts. Also in 45 liters. The Alpine Attack 20 is our essential climbers pack designed specifically for multi-pitch routes. A special harness wraps securely high on your body without hindering arm movement or harness area. The expanding pack body allows 22 liters for the approach, then compresses down to a slim 14 liters for the ascent. Removable rope compressors and gear-racking loops manage the equipment.

The Cordillera Pant is a soft-shell backcountry pant constructed using our Stormweave™ fabric, combining wind and water resistance with maximum breathability and rugged durability. Articulated knees and crotch panel allow full leg movement on technical terrain. When a pack is this functional, durable and comfortable, the best thing to do is keep it on your back. A light, clean design with removable bivi pad and extendable lid, the Alpine Attack 50 features a padded, removable waist belt, ventilated back, Noggin Notch™ for head space and an efficient ski carrying system. Durable, no-nonsense Mountain Attack packs are simple and streamlined yet retain all essential features. Load Locker™ alloy buckles are easy to use with gloves or mitts. A removable padded waist belt, Weatherlock™ spindrift collar, removable ice axe loops and molded back with ice-axe groove are included in the feature-list. The ski-carrying system with alloy Web Catcher™ buckles allows skis to be carried in two configurations. 35 liter capacity. Rush Jacket

Our Fairview Jacket combines minimalist design and

GORE-TEX® PACLITE® lightweight waterproof breathability

into a package that performs on bike, trail or summit.

Weighing in at just 305g, this is the perfect

pack-and-forget active garment.

Stuff the highly compressible Rush jacket into its own chest

pocket, and you'll be prepared for the best and the worst.

One of our lightest waterproof and breathable jackets,

constructed from Triplepoint® fabric for fast moving mountain

sports but versatile enough for any outdoor activity.

The Airspeed Jacket is designed for the ultra-lightweight

approach. Wind and shower resistant microfiber fabric is

used to create a jacket that weighs just 250g, and packs

down to a dime. Zip-off sleeves allow the Airspeed to

convert to a windproof vest.

The Aleutian Extend Top is a multi-sport garment at home

both on the road and trail. Lightweight Aleutian® Stretch

fleece fabric gives mobility with sweat-shifting performance,

and the deep front zipper allows temperature control.

When you lock the Wadi's body-hugging design onto your

torso you'll want to jump and pull the ripcord. The 15 liter

capacity is spread over a wide area of your back for active

load control, and its contoured design is ideal for skiing,

biking or trail running. Not recommended for base jumping,

but it feels like it should be.

Load organization and access is easy, with extra pockets and a full front-entry zipper. The extendible lid adds 15 liters of extra space, or detach and convert into a 17-liter daypack. Plus an integral rain cover, tuck-away bottle pockets that fit Nalgene¤ or Sigg¤ shapes, the Noggin Notch™ for headroom and hydration compatibility. The Sirocco is one of our time-tested classics and has been running the gauntlet of the world's most extreme environments for years. This 60 liter multi-day backcountry pack has two main compartments with a zip-out divider, a removable floating lid that adds 10 liters plus converts to a beltpack, and our Noggin Notch™ for headspace. Women's packs Women prefer to carry loads lower on the back. Our women's packs therefore give greater capacity lower in the pack body. Women also prefer to organize their loads differently. Our pack designs respond to this by adding creative pockets and load organization systems, both internal and external. The overall fit of the harness, hip-belt and back systems clearly need to be tuned specifically for the female form. Necks are narrower, the hip/shoulder ratio is different, and back lengths are shorter.
