LAC SESSION GUIDE PLAN Objective/s 1. identify learners’ learning learners’ learning styles. 2. List down different strategies that address learning styles of learners 3. Overview/Significance Overview/Significance of the Activity The session is designed to enhance and update pedagogical competencies of teachers in relation to different learning styles of learners. Through this endeavor, teachers will be capacitated to teach 21st century learners where they are challenged to embrace changes and new trends in teaching. Furthermore, this would help them deepen their understanding on multitude teaching strategies and in designing activities. Resources Funds: MOOE, Canteen fund Materials: Projector, laptop, laptop, meta cards, manila manila paper, scissors, tape, marker, copy of sample strategies, flip chart paper Duration: 1/12 hour Instruction: a. Setup: A.1 small group with 6 members in a table A. 2 all materials are prepared in a table A. 3 Review of the norms during LAC session b. Icebreaker: Who am I? (5 minutes) Divide the learners into small groups. Do the Who Am I activity. c. Motivation: Picture analysis (5 minutes) The facilitator will show animated picture and ask the participants to interpret each learner. d. Activities 1. Mind Mapping- Each participant will be given meta cards where they will write word/s associated with learning styles of learners. The facilitator will process the output of the activity. (5 minutes)

The HAT- The facilitator will draw the names of participants using the application “The Hat” to answer some questions inside the fish bowl. (5 minutes) Deck of Cards- (3 members in each group-10 minutes) The participants will be grouped into three groups and each group will be given manila paper and deck of cards. They will be asked to classify the strategies according to the learning styles of learners. Let the participants present their outputs. The facilitator will discuss the different strategies appropriate to the different learning styles.

Sharing: Think-Pair and Share (3 minutes) The facilitator will give template to be accomplished by the participants for 3 minutes and share it to any members of the group. f. Reflection: Gallery of Sticky Notes (5 minutes) The facilitator will distribute the sticky notes and will ask the participants to write word/s that will summarize their reflection. Then, instruct them to post in the Gallery of sticky notes. g.

Application: (15 minutes) Each participant will use strategies that will cater to students with different learning styles in one learning competency.

Instructions: FACILITATORS ACTIVITY A. Ice Breaker Divide the participants into three groups. Provide each group a large shape of flip chart and markers. Let the participants draw a large flower with a center and an equal numbers of petals to the number of participants in each group. Each member of the group will fill his/her petal with something about him/her that is unique. Physical attributes are not allowed. B. Motivation The facilitator will show animated pictures and ask the following questions: a. Do you have these kinds of students in your class? b. Can you describe them? c. How do you deal with them? C. Activity 1: Mind Mapping On the meta card given, write down word/s that comes first in your mind once you hear the term “learning style”. After activity 1 presentation, the facilitators will process the answers and present some situations showing characteristics of learners.

PARTICIPANTS RESPONSE The participants are expected to write their unique qualities in the provided flip flower.

D. Activity 2: The HAT The facilitator says, (I will draw your names using the application “The Hat” and answer the following questions inside the fish bowl.
