Cell – 09417117370, [email protected] My wife was planning to travel overseas to meet her daughter who is settled in a foreign country. Although I was also to accompany her, due to her curiosity which was quite evident, I asked her to intimate any horary number between 1 to 249. Accordingly she told me a horary number as 47, I made the K.P. chart for the said number on dated 7-5-2012 at 5:15 PM at Chandigarh. Moon reveals the nature of query Moon lord of 3 is in 6. Moon is in the star of Saturn deposited in 5, lord of 9 &10. It is in sub of Mars deposited in 3. Hence Moon is linked with 5 [daughter], 3 [12 to 4, moving out of residence] 9 [long journey]. So query relates to quernt’s visit to her daughter in a foreign country. Gulberga theory If sublord of horary number furnished happens to be either Moon star lord or Lagna star lord among the Ruling Planets, then query is to be answered in the affirmative, otherwise not. In the case under consideration sublord of horary number is Rahu and Rahu is in the sign of Mars and Lagna star lord of R.P. is also Mars. So the answer to the query is affirmative and I assured the the querent that she will surely travel to foreign country to visit her daughter. KRISHNAMURTI, page 301, one is to judge 12th cusp and find whether the lord of the sub of 12th cusp is either retrograde or deposited in a constellation whose lord is retrograde . If either is retrograde one cannot go abroad. If the sublord and lord of the constellation in which The sublord is situated are in direct motion and if the sublord of the 12th is also a significator of either 3rd or 9th or 12th one goes abroad. 12th cusp sublord In this case 12th cusp sublord is Jupiter in 11. Jupiter having no planet in its stars becomes the significator of 12th house, by being the sublord of 12th cusp. Further sublord Jupiter is in the star of Sun in 11 and it is in the sub of Moon lord 3. Hence 12th cusp sublord and its star are not retrograde and it signifies 3 and 12 so it fulfill the necessary condition for foreign travel. Check for Mahadasha and Bhukti Mahadasha of Saturn Saturn is in 5 lord of 9 and 10. It is in the star of Mars in 3 lord of 6. It is in the sub of Mercury in 11. So Saturn Mahadasha is the significator 3 and 9 which is conducive for foreign travel and Saturn is also a ruling planet.

Bhukti of Mars Mars in 3 lord of 6. It is in the star of Ketu in 12. It is in the sub of Merc in 11. So Mars bhukti signifies 3 and 12, which is conducive for foreign travel and Mars is also a ruling planet at the time of judgment on 7-5-2012. Actual facts of the case My wife who was planning to go abroad since long to meet her daughter but the visit could not be materialized due to one reason or other. As some discrepancy was pointed out by the officials in Visa Office during 6 /2012 and same was got rectified only in 11 /2012 and Visa was issued in 11/2012. We were able to fly abroad on 6-12-2012. Background Note: Recently a different query comes to me to judge astrologically. A lady has asked me whether she opens a school or restaurant? She gave me a horary number with one question. However in question two different matters includes – one is school and another is restaurant. I am little bit confused how to resolve the question. I have asked my astrologer friends (group) how I should go with the question? Some have suggested to ask two different horary numbers from the querent – one is for school and another for restaurant, and then judge astrologically. Some have suggested to go with Option Theory. But lastly I am in decision that I will go with the general practice of horary astrology. I am in opinion that querent does not know the exact procedure to ask a horary question. However I have suggested the procedure how to ask a horary question with number. Based on that, when strong urge came to her mind, she simply asked me one question with a number. Applying the KP rules for accident and death Rule 1- If a planet signifies Lagna bhava and it is in the sub of the significator of 8th house, one meets with danger. If the Badhaka, Maraka are also involved, the accident may be fatal during the joint dasa period of significators of 4, 8, 12, 6 and Badhaka, Maraka when the longevity is no more promised. I was woken up from my mid-night dream-sleep on Sunday, the 26th June, 2011, by the nonstop telephone ring. A male voice, with perceptible urgency, introduced himself as Mr. M from U K, asked me: “I am faced with a potential catastrophe in my life, now, and I need a job immediately to get over my difficulties…..will I get a job that may lift me from the present situation ?, please answer” . I asked him to choose a horary number between 1 -249, (despite the unearthly hour, that is applicable to me in India only!) and to contact me the next day. The horary number selected by him was: # 11. The next day, I checked the query for an answer applying the principles of ruling planets. A look at the planetary disposition at the time of analysis shows that, the 10th and 11th house lord is the delay-causing planet Saturn, who occupies Virgo, a sign owned by Mercury, and throws its aspect on both the Sun and Mercury in Gemini, and Rahu as well. Does it not indicate that when the Sun transits in Gemini (the earliest time that can be reckoned for fruition), the expected event may not/ cannot find fruition ?

So, the question is “when will this happen?” Only when the Sun transit is through Virgo, which is the next sign owned by Mercury! Only then, ‘the good news’ (note: Mercury owns the 3 rd house and occupies the same) will reach him. That would be within the next 100 days. Question 1: Navamsa Chart in KP I am a regular reader of your thought provoking, well researched, informative articles in KP-Ezine. From the very beginning of my quest into KP Paddhati, two questions are haunting me. One of them is the use of Navamsha Chart (D 9) in KP. In the first book, Guruji not only taught how to cast Rashi-Cuspal Chart, but meticulously described how to cast Navamsa Chart. But to our great astonishment, in all subsequent readers, Guruji is total silent about it. Why? If there is no usage of it, why so much pain is taken to cast it?? I request you to cast little light on this area in next issues. Answer 1: Initially Guruji KSK started taking the ideas of traditional astrology such as navamsa, Lagna or Moon sign whichever is stronger, 108 based horary and tried to merge them with his research results of cusps, subs, significators and 249 based horary etc. [“Lagna or Moon sign whichever is stronger” is changed to Lagna alone according to the further research after 1967. The main reason is that in a twin birth, only the cusps of the house including the ascendant change whereas Moon is in the same position. (Krishnamurti Padhdhati Vol. 2, Sagar Publications, 1966, pp 82, 118, 255, 261-262, 264, 313, 316; KP Reader III, pp 243-244, 432-433/ 1971 Edition, Practical Part, pp 85, 259) Only 249 subs based horary is found consistently used in the KP Reader VI since 1969, although it was started with 108 based horary. (KP Reader VI)] Navamsa Chart A very detailed self-explanatory three-page table to erect both the rasi and navamsa chart originally appeared in the "Krishnamurti Padhdhati Vol. 2, Sagar Publications, 1966", pp 146-148, then was reprinted in the KP Reader I, pp 78-80. The navamsa chart was shown side by side with rasi chart in 25 charts in the "Krishnamurti Padhdhati Vol. 2, Sagar Publications, 1966" on pp 50, 56, 66, 90, 110, 116, 117, 125, 146, 167, 230, 233 (two charts), 241, 255, 261, 264, 267, 278, 283, “300”, 310, 312, 314 and “321” as usually done in the traditional chart presentation but without practical application. But out of above 25 navamsa charts, only two navamsa charts of the rasi chart under heading “Nature of Service” on p 300 and navamsa chart of Guruji KSK's self calculated rasi chart under heading "Time of Sanction of Pension" on p 321 of the "Krishnamurti Padhdhati Vol. 2, Sagar Publications, 1966", are found reprinted in the KP Reader III, pp 339/387 (1971 Edition, Practical Part page 171/217). sion cannot be fit in the KP system which is based on the unequal 249 sub division. The divisional charts including navamsa chart are complicated to use and there is no clear cut and consistent method of interpreting them. KP has different kind of zodiac division but very simple to use and probably it is the reason that there is no place in KP for the divisional charts. Dr. Jagdish Maheshri’s ninefold charts, a little modified navamsa charts in his book, "It's All in Timing", 1997, Dr. Kar's Navamsa of Navamsa chart by equal division (KP & Astrology Year Books) and the divisional charts in the “Jyotisha Volume 1: The Krishnamurti Method (KP)” by Dr Manish Pandit, cannot yet provide practically usable rules for combining both the divisional charts and KP systems together. Question 2: On page 76 of KP Reader I, author says: As it will appear clumsy to devide a sign into 9 equal parts, and insert planet in its navamsa position in a sign and because the Hindus say that the lord of Navamsa sign is the same as the lord of the sign and the planets, according to their position in each sign, will occupy a sign in navamsa chard and hence, the lord of the rasi is the owner of the sign in which a planet was, wherea the lord of the Navamsa sign is the owner of the sign, as in rasi. To a self learner like me, its a confusing sentence. Too much of infrmation in a single sentence; too many ANDs to combine it. Could you help me understand this by breaking the shared info into smaller sentences? What is the author teaching here? Answer 2: Recommendation for KP Beginners 1. As it will appear clumsy to divide a sign into 9 equal parts, and insert planet in its navamsa position in a sign and ... because the Hindus say that the lord of Navamsa sign is the same as the lord of the sign and ... the planets, according to their position in each sign, will occupy a sign in navamsa chart and ... hence, the lord of the rasi is the owner of the sign in which a planet was, whereas the lord of the Navamsa sign is the owner of the sign (as in rasi). The author is explaining here how to find the rasi lord and navamsa lord of a planetary position from the Navamsa table on pages 78-80 of this KP Reader I, e.g. for a planet Aries 11° , from the position line in the Zodiac 10.00- 13.20 on page 78, it can be seen that this planet is in the Aries sign ruled by Mars, and in the Cancer Navamsa ruled by Moon. The above quoted sentence in the KP Reader I is the "exact reprint" from the second para on page 144 of the "Krishnamurti Padhdhati (Advanced Stellar Astrology) Vol. I, by Jyothish Marthand K.S. Krishnamurti, Sagar Publications, 1966". KP Reader I to V are the exact reprint of the "Krishnamurti Padhdhati (Advanced Stellar Astrology) Vol. I & II, by Jyothish Marthand K.S. Krishnamurti, Sagar Publications, 1966, with removals and add-ons, and the KP Reader VI was newly written one. There is no change of language style but the significant changes in some topics would be confusing for the KP beginners. So only the KP Readers I-VI are recommendable for the beginners. The best narrated KP books recommendable for KP beginners are the "Nakshatra Chintamani, Further Light on Nakshatra Chintamani and Prashna Jyotish” by late Sri Chandrakant R. Bhatt.

Amrit Sagar -----------------------------Dear Kanak, Update…I downloaded the June KP EZine issue on my Windows 7 OS, and it opens and reads fine, but I cannot read your June issue on my MacBook Pro (OS X Version10.8.3). It crashes on the 'Contents' page. I checked all the other KP EZine downloaded KP EZine Issues, and they ALL open just fine on my Mac, so I am a bit perplexed about this. Then I re-downloaded Adobe Reader for MacBook, and same problem with opening current issue on my Mac, while earlier issues open fine on my Mac. A mystery, I guess. I don't know if any other KP EZine subscribers are also having problems opening the June Issue on a Mac computer, that is why I gave you the OS and version above - so you can inform your web developer.
