STORY: MARCIA AND THE ALIEN This is Marcia; she is a special girl with magical ponytails. Marcia has special powers. Marcia lives in a house with her Mum and Dad and all of her pets.

Marcia: Oh no! I made Missy disappear! I hope she is ok! Polly: Use your powers, use your powers. Marcia: Ok, I will use my powers to make Missy come back. Ponytails up, ponytails down, up – down, round and round bring Missy back!

Marcia has lots, and lots of pets. She has a cat named Missy, a parrot named Polly. Marcia also has a pet fish named Goldie, a hamster named Hammie, and a turtle named Shelly.

Meow, meow! Marcia: I can hear her! She’s back! Let’s look under my bed. Missy... Polly: No, Missy, no Missy here.

Marcia loves all her pets, but Missy the cat and Polly the parrot are her best friends.

Marcia: Let’s look in the wardrobe. Missy… Polly: Yes, Missy is here! Missy is here! Marcia: Silly Polly! It wasn’t an alien! Look it was just Missy!

One night, it was bedtime and Marcia and Polly were in the bedroom. Marcia: Night, night Polly! Polly: Night, night Marcia, turn off the light, turn off the light.

Marcia: Oh come here Missy, come, come. You poor thing! I zapped you with my powers! Missy: Meooooowwww, meoooowwww.

(After a while…) tap - tap - tap - tap Marcia: Polly? Did you hear that noise?

Marcia: I’m so sorry Missy. I thought you were an alien. Polly: An alien, an alien!

Polly: Which noise? Which noise? Marcia: That tapping noise, shhhhh keep quiet! Listen!

Marcia: But you’re not an alien! But you’ve got one head, four legs, one tail and you are hairy!

tap - tap - tap - tap Polly: What is it? What is it? An alien! An alien! Marcia: An alien? Are you serious? My goodness, you are right, it must be an alien tapping at the window! Maybe he wants to get into my bedroom! Narrator: She hides in her bed.

STORY: POLLY GOES TO SCHOOL One day Marcia was getting ready to go to school.

STORY: THE SKI TRIP

Marcia is very excited and happy because tomorrow, she is going on a ski trip with Mum and Dad.

Narrator: Marcia’s warm clothes for skiing appeared in her suitcase. Marcia and Polly: Hurray! Hurray!

Dad: C’mon Marcia, time to pack your suitcase! Mum: Don’t forget since we are going to the mountains you must pack warm clothes! Marcia: Yes, yes, I know Mum. Don’t worry, I’ll pack my ski suit, my gloves, scarf, hat and lots of warm jumpers!

Marcia: Come on Polly. Let’s go skiing!!! Let’s sing!

Later in Marcia’s bedroom... Marcia: Polly I love this TV show, it is so, so funny! Polly: Mum and Dad say you must pack your suitcase. Pack your suitcase.

SONG: I’M TAKING MY… I’m taking my ski suit and my hat Because I am going to the mountains

Marcia: I know, I know but I’m tired and I want to watch my show. Will you pack my suitcase for me? Please? Pretty, please? Polly: I can pack, I can pack. But I want to go skiing, I want to go skiing. Marcia: Ok Polly. If you pack my suitcase, you can come skiing with me!

Mum: Marcia, I have to go to the shops for a minute. Can you please watch the chocolate cake? I don’t want Missy to eat it! Marcia: Ok Mum. I’ll watch the cake. Nothing will happen to it. Mum: Thanks Marcia! Bye! Mum left and went to the shops.

I don’t like peas I don’t like soup Do you like chicken? Do you, do you?

Marcia and Polly sat and stared at the cake. It was beautiful and big, and covered with sticky and delicious chocolate frosting. Marcia: Isn’t the cake beautiful Polly? Polly: A beautiful cake, beautiful!

Do you like sandwiches? Do you, do you? Yes, I do, I do, I do

Marcia: I hope it tastes as good as it looks. Hmmm... maybe I should taste just a little of the frosting... Polly: Mum said no. Don’t eat the cake!

I like chicken I like sandwiches

Marcia: I’m not going to eat the cake! Just have a little taste... Marcia took a tiny bit of frosting off the cake with her finger and put it in her mouth. Marcia: It’s delicious! It is yummy, yummy, yummy! Just one more bite!

STORY: THE BIRTHDAY CAKE One day, Marcia was at home watching TV in the living room. Mum was in the kitchen and called Marcia. Mum: Marcia! Maaarrrrciaaaaa! Come here please! Marcia: Okay, okay! I’m coming! Marcia went to see what Mum wanted.

But Marcia couldn’t stop and in just a few minutes a big piece of the cake was missing! Polly: Look what you did! Look what you did! Mum will be very, very angry!

Marcia: What is it Mum? Mum: I need your help today. We have to prepare a special dinner for Dad’s birthday tonight. Can you help me please? Marcia: Sure Mum, I love to cook! What are we going to make?

Marcia: Oh no! I couldn’t help it! It was too yummy! What shall I do? What shall I do? Polly: Mum is coming! Mum is coming! Powers! Powers! Marcia: Yes, I’ll use my powers! Ponytails up, ponytails down, up - down, round and round! I want a perfect cake! Narrator: And poof the cake was perfect again.

Mum: Dad’s favourite food! Roast chicken, peas, and mashed potatoes! Marcia: Mmmmm... yummy! That sounds delicious! Mum: And for dessert a chocolate cake! Marcia: Mmmm! Chocolate cake! My favourite!

Mum: Marcia! I’m home! Let’s see how the cake is. Marcia: It’s perfect Mum, I made sure nothing happened to it!

Mum and Marcia began to cook. Mum: Ok, let’s put the chicken in the oven! Marcia helped Mum put the chicken in the oven.

Marcia: What shall we do now Mum? Mum: Let’s prepare the potatoes. Marcia and Mum peeled the potatoes. Boiled the potatoes. And mashed the potatoes.
