Juan Sebastián Landeta Iñiguez nació en Quito Ecuador, tiene 19 años y considera al Origami como una expresión de escultura con una temática distinta a todos los tipos de expresiones artísticas. En este arte destaca la presencia de una rama distinta del conocimiento que está poco relacionada con otras expresiones artísticas y es la ciencia exacta o matemática. Estudia arte visual en la universidad y ha publicado un libro de Origami con figuras propias y que consiste en una guía didáctica para aprender a descifrar los patrones de doblado (CP`s). Ha publicado además para las convenciones de Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, Estados Unidos y la BOS. Participó de la XII Convención de Cali 2008 y como expositor del primer intercambio cultural Japón - Ecuador en el Barco de la Paz (Peace Boat). Admira a Robert Lang. Ha alimentado el blog http://origami-juan.blogspot.com/ y no posee un método específico de plegado, cómo el mismo lo ha admitido, tampoco es bueno con los nombres de los pliegues...

CREASE PATTERN: BUHO REAL CON ALAS ABIERTAS

Este patrón a simple vista parece algo complicado pero podemos simplificarlo para lograr un mejor entendimiento de qué es lo que está pasando dentro del cuadrado. Empecemos por descartar lo que son hundidos y dobleces de detalle.

Fue hace cuatro años cuando entre por primera vez a este mundo del origami, al principio tuve que volverme autodidacta y así poder doblar mis primeras figuras no muy bien logradas pero era un avance, pero faltaba algo más y me puse a pensar que pasaría si empiezo a crear mis propias figuras tal como lo hacen los grandes exponentes del Origami mundial y fue entonces cuando basándome en un modelo que había visto alguna vez me senté durante dos días a pensar cómo hacer un búho en origami y por supuesto que no haya sido creado antes. Después de dos días los resultados fueron mejor de lo que esperaba y termine con lo que hoy pienso es una de las figuras más famosas de mi autoría que es el Búho Real.

Para llegar a completar el patrón lo único que deberíamos hacer es retroceder en los pasos, vamos de lo más simple a lo más complejo. Aquí está el ejemplo de cómo lograr las figuras triangulares para las alas. Ahora este patrón posee una división de 20 unidades horizontalmente y solo en la parte izquierda tiene divisiones verticales, aquí vemos las líneas principales para poder empezar a marcar y para el posterior colapso de la base.
