Q2: General review tips (i.e. must-do, things to avoid, best kind of help, etc.) 1. Prepare all your review materials before the actual review (don't waste time photocopying or obtaining materials which you should already have); 2. Make a review schedule; 3. Study if you want to study, don't study if you don't feel to; 4. No shortcuts, study hard; and 5. Always pray. Q3: Review Study Day & Study Period (How was your usual study day like?) I made a schedule of my review (although I have adjusted the schedule for many times), just make sure you are following a schedule; 2. Study smart and logically (you may follow the flow of the syllabus, the reviewer or the codal); 3. Know the basics (know the codal and jurisprudence); 4. Practice answering bar questions (practice how you will attack a type of question)... I studied on an average of 7 hours a day. I studied anywhere and anytime I feel to study. Q4: Review Schedule (i.e. How many months / weeks did you devote for each subject? What was your review schedule?) I almost had 2 readings, excluding my reading during preweek. Quality over quantity of reading. Make sure that you understand what are you reading. Don't read for the sake of reading/meeting your schedule. Again, study smart. Q5: Feedback on Review Center  Did you enroll in a review center? Yes, Ateneo Any feedback on said review center? They have good reviewers (although beware of the typos) Any specific lectures from review centers that helped you during the bar review? Which ones? I self-studied. I attended more or less five lectures? Although, I think lecture on how to prepare for the bar is the most helpful. Preparation is the key :) • •

Q2: General review tips (i.e. must-do, things to avoid, best kind of help, etc.) READ PAST BAR QUESTIONS; I read 2008-2013 past bar and they REALLY DO repeat 2-3 questions (so may perfect score ka na agad for 2-3 questions for each subject). NO INTERNET 24/7. Please note the study tips I'm sharing were during my review for the 2nd take. For the 1st take, I enrolled at Ateneo Law School (which obviously, wasn't that much help. Gumastos pa ako ng mahal haha); 2nd take, I went to the province to study by myself without 24/7 internet. I'd only go online on Sundays. I think that's the best advice I can give! NO INTERNET. I'd still watch TV during my breaks (we had cable), listen to music while studying, chat or text friends and family when I felt lonely or tired, or ask classmates if I had any clarifications. JUST READ. Read, read some more, and then read again! Mostly what I did was read books, reviewers, notes, and other materials. It depends on your preference or how you study; but for me, studying with a group can cause you to lose focus and can distract you. So, I literally studied by myself with little to no distractions. EXERCISE! You’re sitting all day, and eating to stay awake; mahirap na tumaba hehe. CRY. When you feel like it, go ahead; better to let it out than have it affect your focus later on. Take a break when it gets too overwhelming, but after a while, dive back in. PRAY! I had a daily novena in the morning, and then praying rosary in the evening. Just keep on and have faith :) Q3: Review Study Day & Study Period (How was your usual study day like?) Monday-Saturday: 6am wake up, exercise; 7am breakfast, shower; 8am start studying; 930am novena, snacks; 10am continue studying; 12nn lunch; 1pm continue; 330pm siesta, merienda; 4pm continue; 6pm rosary, dinner; 8pm, wrap up readings for the day; 10pm sleep (NOTE: no internet the whole week except Sunday). Sunday: 7am wakeup, go online, check emails or msgs, 9am mass, 12nn lunch, 1pm finish up 'backlog' readings or finish chapters but not as rigorous as the weekday sched (i.e. sometimes I read while watching TV), 6pm dinner, watch TV/movie, rest, check FB or Viber, 10pm sleep Q4: Review Schedule (i.e. How many months / weeks did you devote for each subject? What was your review schedule?) Started serious review on August for the 2015 November bar exam. Studied daily 8am-10pm schedule (see #3), except on Sundays when I just studied in the afternoon. I studied the morning subj the first half of the day and the afternoon subj in the second half, devoting about a week for each pair (e.g. Poli 8am-3pm then Labor 3-10pm; 1wk for Poli/Labor, 1wk for Civ/Tax, 1wk for Merc/Crim, 1.5wks for Rem/Ethics). Did 3 rounds i.e. August to 1st half Sept > Poli to Rem, 2nd half Sept to early Oct > Poli to Rem, Oct to Nov > Rem to Poli (so that when I ended, it was just in time for the pre-week 1st bar subj: P oli/Labor). Any feedback on said review center?  Not worth it haha the only good thing is the library but then you have to compete with the ALS students themselves, and it can get noisy at times

Q6: Hardest and Easiest Subject (based on your experience with the JD-MBA program, bar review, & bar exams) Hardest subject: Merc (too much topics, and Corp law was never my forte), Tax! (I could never grasp zero-rate and exemptions haha buti di masyado tinanong) Easiest subject: Labor (I used Labor as a topic in on my MBA subjs so I know Labor2 pretty well, and Labor1 is just memorization) •

Q7: Night Before the Test (i.e. What do you suggest we do? What were you doing then?) The Saturday before, I would answer the previous 2 years' bar questions; as in, written down on a paper and my mom would 'check' it by comparing against the suggested answers. I'd also check the suggested answers after (I'd cover them with a Post-It while answering). Pack up, go to Marco Polo, check in, get tips from Barops, fix my bag for the next day, etc. I think I was just reading pre-weeks...I do remember 1st week, may mga bumisita to wish me good luck hindi na ata ako nakaaral haha! But more or less, no more books at this point. Just flip through any reviewers/tips BarOps gives or what you have, go through the SC syllabus, codal provisions, past bar questions. I made sure I DID sleep (bec I normally need 8hrs of sleep, but I think there are others who couldn't sleep). TRY your best to sleep and have some rest. I study like I work. 8 am to 5pm, with 2 hours overtime weekdays. Easy read on Saturdays. Rest and worship on Sundays. Q2: General review tips (i.e. must-do, things to avoid, best kind of help, etc.) Choose specific authors to trust and stick with them, there will be varying authors or reviewers that will pop-up during your bar review which may derail you from finishing all your readings. Read for all subjects at least twice or thrice for mastery. Q3: Review Study Day & Study Period (How was your usual study day like?) Monday to Saturday, 9am - 9pm Q4: Review Schedule (i.e. How many months / weeks did you devote for each subject? What was your review schedule?) I did not have a specific schedule per subject as there would be subjects that are harder or easier to digest. But in general one book should be maximum of around 4 days. (Remember Civil Law has a lot of subjects and i recommend reading one per subject [i.e. Persons, Property, Succession, etc.]) Q5: Feedback on Review Center  Did you enroll in a review center? I tried to cram for Rem during the last sunday and inmediately regretted it because I was sleepy during the exams. I should have stuck with  Albano, i think ;( super hiram ito for me Taxation Law Ingles 2 readings, Lumbera notes, Mamalateo 1 reading. Super hirap din and Tax for me. I remembered all the defences of the losing party not the arguments of the winning one.
