JAIMINI NAVAMSHA DASHA- SALIENT FEATURES & CALCULATION Salient features of Jaimini Navamsha Dasha:

All moveable signs and karakas/planets posited therein aspect all fixed signs except the one adjoining to it. All fixed signs and karakas/planets posited therein aspect all moveable signs except the one adjoining to it. All Planets/Karakas in common signs mutually aspect each other.

Dasha sequence for Odd and Even Signs: -

-

Counting of year of Dasha is done by direct order in case of odd Rashis from the rashi itself, by treating one Rashi as one complete year. Counting of year of Dasha is done by indirect or reverse order in case of even Rashis. The number of years are taken by as many houses the Rashi Lord is away from the Rashi, by treating one Rashi as one complete year. In case of Rashi Lord is in its own Rashi or in 12th house from the Rashi concerned, the Rashi Dasha assigned would be of 12 years for that sign. Sub-periods are in months corresponding to the full Rashi Dasha and are in direct sequence coming one after another. There will be no deduction of 1 year as in the case of Chara dasha. The lord in the 7th house from the rashi will get 7 years only.

- In the above navamsha chart, the lagna is Taurus, an even sign. The daha will start from the 7th house, i.e., Scorpio. We have to take Ketu as the lord. As Ketu is in the sign itself, Scorpio dasha will get 12 years. - Sagittarius dasha will be for 7 years as Jupiter is in the 7th from the rashi. - Capricorn dasha will get 8 years (counting is reverse for even signs). - Aquarius dash will get 4 years as we have taken Rahu. - Pisces dasha will get 4 years (reverse counting for even signs). - Aries dasha will get years. Taurus dasha gets 8 years (counting is reverse). Gemini dash gets 8 years. Cancer dasha gets 7 years ( counting is reverse) Leo dasha gets 3 years. Virgo dasha gets 8 years (counting is reverse). Libra dasha gets 12 years as Venus is in the rashi itself.

Anthar dasha calculation in Navamsha dasha: - The calculation of the anthat dasha in navamsha dasha starts from the rashi itself. In the above case, the first dasha is that of Scorpio. The anthar dasha will start from Scorpio itself. - The period of the anthar dasha will be 1/12th of the total period. In this case, the dasha period is 12 years, therefore, the anthar dasha period for for each of the anthar dasha in Scorpio dasha will be 1 year.
