Question 1:

You work in a local high school and have been asked to listen to the suggestions and grievance of a of  a group of students of  students about their learning environment. What strategies would you have to adopt to be an effective listener? Give any five.

Question 2: The following question relates to the communication with Indigenous peoples of  Australia.

(a) Your company has assigned you to organise a “Welcome to Country” ceremony for an international conference they are about to host for 100 foreign visitors. Can you explain what this ceremony is all about and what protocols you would observe in getting this ceremony performed? (b) You have been asked to advise the President of the of  the company who will be addressing the delegates in his opening dinner speech that night about the Acknowledgement to Country. However, you know the place where the dinner is held is a location where there is a dispute about who the traditional owners are. Should you still proceed to run the ceremony? If yes, If  yes, how would you deal with this?

Question 3:

You are giving a presentation to a culturally diverse audience and are trying to sell them the advantage of installing of  installing solar panels to provide hot water for their homes.
