My Insights: Teaching as a Profession

My passage to becoming a teacher started this semester when I started to take the class, Teaching as a Profession  with Professor Professor Cristy Miclat. Even before taking the nits of Professional Edcation, I was so sre I really wanted to enter the teaching profession. ! year ago, I was in"isitive abot the opportnities that I cold prse with the profession, bt then after I#ve talked to a lot of teachers, I have decided to take the corse with the best intentions to scceed and get my foot in the door into the teaching career.  The best way for someone to determine if they really wold like to go into a certain $eld is to observe and talk to others who are already in the discipline. This is especially important for ftre, soon%to%be teachers becase althogh yo do not reali&e it as a stdent, teaching is a very ta'ing (ob that re"ires patience and determination. )ith a diverse classroom of stdents who have varios levels of  knowl knowledg edge e on the sb(e sb(ects cts being taght taght and how how they they grasp grasp those those sb(e sb(ects cts a teac teache herr mst mst be able able to meet meet the the need needs s of thes these e ppil pils. s. To meet meet thos those e re"irements the edcator mst be able to inspire stdents and have lesson plans that re*ects the learning styles of all stdents. This semester has been helpfl in providing me with varios ideas for my own classroom and teaching methods.  Teaching  Teaching is a very diverse (ob that re"ires many skills and a lot of patience. It is important for a teacher to be able to maintain a healthy and professional relationship with their ppils, develop lesson plans that keep the attention of a ma(ority of the stdents, make the atmosphere of the classroom inviting, and be a welcoming person capable of standing p in front of the class to teach. !ll of these become part of my goals for development as an edcator over the ne't few years. +ooking back at the e'perience I had in observing, I am determined to inspire others throgh a career in cience edcation. My streng strengths ths incld inclde e being being very very deter determin mined, ed, goal goal drive driven, n, hard hard worki working, ng, learning, good people skills and trying to help motivate others. I will se these strengths strengths to the best of my ability when I have my own class in the ftre. I want to contine with my teaching%learning process and obtain my teaching certi$cation this year and get my master#s degree soon. !fter !fter observing this past semester, I am pretty sre that I like to work with high school stdents, becase I think I-d respond better better to them. them. The The observ observati ations ons were were very very inter interest esting ing and helpe helped d me better better appreciate the teaching profession.

My Insights: Teaching as a Profession

Instead of seeing my grade as an ocial judgment that I need to preemptively  defend, I want rst focus on my grades for my assignments and tests—and your  comments on the assignments and tests—as an opportunity to help me improve. Performance, Progress and Participation is correlated with the nal grade. Grades have the power to open certain doors in the future, and because of this, I am hoping for an verage to bove verage grade. !araming "alamat at  !agandang #uhay$ 
