Installation Information

HR renewal 2.0 is based on the software component EA-HR 608. The software component EA-HR 608 delivers SPs more frequently than the usual SP stack schedule with the result that several EA-HR 608 SPs are available between two SP stacks. You can install the EA-HR SPs, by just updating the software component version EA-HR 608 to a specific SP with the HR Legal Changes Packages Calculation in the SAP Maintenance Optimizer. You do not need to update the add-on product version HR renewal 2.0 to the new SP stack. You can get detailed background information on the SAP Maintenance Optimizer at service.sap.com/mopz. For more information on applying SP stacks for SAP Enhancement Package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0, please see the following SAP Notes: ●

General Installation Requirements ●

You have installed the initial shipment of HR renewal 2.0 as described in the SAP installation note 1881006. HR renewal 2.0 FP2 is based on SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SPS05 with SAP_UI 740 SP09 & SAP_GWFND SP07. These are the minimum levels required.



If you are using the portal, you meet the minimum requirement on the Portal side - Enterprise Portal 7.30 with SP07. For more information see SAP Note 1708020.



You have followed the instructions in the Release Information Note (RIN) 1965692.



You have checked that your browser meets the requirements as per SAP Note 1885476.



The minimum SAP Gateway release required is as follows: ○

Remote Gateway Minimum release: SAP Gateway 2.0 SPS 07. This includes IW_BEP 200 SP7 (for the instance Gateway BEP) and IW_PGW 100 SP6 (for the instance Gateway PGW), or the latest SP if this is higher than SP6.



Local Gateway SAP NetWeaver 7.40 SPS 05 with SAP_UI Component 740 SP08 and SAP_GWFND (SAP NW Gateway Foundation) 740 SP07 is required. With the SAP NetWeaver 7.40, the basis functionality was moved to the SAP NetWeaver stack and shipped via SWCV SAP_GWFND 740.

For both the remote and the local SAP Gateway, SWCV IW_PGW 100 SP6 is also available. For SAP NetWeaver 7.4, IW_PGW 100 SP6 is shipped via SAP Gateway 2.0 SPS 07 (Instance Gateway PGW 740). For more information on SAP Gateway topics, please see

Features The payroll control center addresses two roles: ●

The payroll process manager, who has the overview and responsibility for the whole payroll process and assigns tasks to the payroll administrators.



The payroll administrator, who works on check results coming from payroll data checks and is in charge of correcting them.

This allows you to process or retrieve data using complex SQL queries and perform aggregations on these results right at the database layer.

The Payroll Control Center for the Payroll Process Manager is integrated with the Payroll Control Center for the Payroll Administrator. This new function offers one SAPUI5 based tool for payroll process managers to run through the payroll process more efficiently, quicker and with higher data quality.

This new function enhances the HCM, Payroll Control Center (HCM_LOC_CI_68) business function by supporting text configuration of process step user interface, providing interface for customized code for automatically generating step group periods and for generating the time parameter value for process instance generation. In addition, the payroll administrators can interact with the payroll process managers for processing the identified issues and compliance violations by setting different error statuses for the issues or violations.

To upgrade your HR renewal 1.0 (based on SAP enhancement package 6/7 for SAP ERP 6.0), you need to have SPS (Support Package Stack) 03 from SAP enhancement package 7. Post-Installation Information When you upgrade to HCM Renewal 2.0, the Add-on payroll country versions for the above mentioned countries are retrofitted to the standard payroll solution. After the upgrade is completed, you must run the RPCADD0I_FORCED report in your system. This report deletes existing content of add-on specific includes such as MPxxxx00_ADDON and H99PLOG_ADDON_HEADER thereby preventing technical issues after the upgrade.
