How to Use Numerology in Your Business In today’s competitive and challenging business environment, organizations need to take advantage of every possible opportunity to achieve success. Numerology can help you select a business name that lends power, creativity, or service to your company. You can also use numerology to name products and services that your company offers. Here’s how.

Naming Your Business, Products, and Services Marketing experts agree that the best names are short, distinctive, and descriptive of your products or service. It’s also important to choose a name that’s easy to remember, spell, and pronounce. But beyond choosing a catchy name, the numerological interpretation of a business name can influence the company in either a positive or negative way. The Destiny Number (calculated from all the numeric values of the letters in the business name) indicates the talents and aptitudes of the company. It also suggests the future of the company and how it will use its innate talents to achieve success. While choosing the perfect name for your business can’t predict success or failure, the right Business Name Number can provide a strong foundation for its future. A carefully selected name can ensure that your venture is properly positioned to meet and even exceed its goals. Like choosing the right name for a business can drive its success, selecting an appropriate name for a product or service can set the foundation for victory or failure. While we don’t know for sure if Apple used numerology to choose the name “iPod” for its revolutionary MP3 player, it’s interesting to know that the product name adds to a Destiny Number 8, indicating money, power, and success. While there are no “good” or “bad” numbers when naming a business, some numbers are better than others for certain types of ventures.

Calculating the Destiny Number When interpreting the numbers of a business, product, or service, use the Destiny Number (sometimes called the Name Number), which is derived by adding the numeric values of the letters in a name. It indicates a business’ talents, aptitudes, and ultimate destiny for success. To get the most accurate interpretation of your Destiny Number, you need to use the name exactly as it appears on the articles of incorporation, business license, or whatever official document recognizes your business. Numerology experts agree that

using your business name without Co., Inc., LLC, or any additional designations provides the most accurate interpretation of your Destiny Number. In numerology, each letter of the alphabet is assigned a numeric value from 1 to 9. We use the Pythagorean Letter-to-Number chart to help find the numeric value for each letter of the alphabet.

Use the following steps to find the Destiny Number for your business. 1. Print the letters of the business name, leaving a bit of space between each letter. Also, leave plenty of space underneath for your calculations. 2. Below each letter, write the numeric value of that letter (refer to the “Pythagorean Letter-to-Number Table” below). Remember that Co., Corp., Inc. and other generic terms are not included in this calculation. If there is a number in the name, such as 3M, repeat the number beneath where it appears in the business name. 3. Finally, to get the Destiny Number, add all of the numeric values together. If the sum is two or more digits, add those digits and reduce the answer to a single digit. Here’s an example for General Motors.
