HFM TIPS &TECHNIQUES

HSS:It provides a central location to manage user provisioning,LCM,and task flow management for all EPM System products. Also It includes the shared services registry,which is a central repository that stores and reuses information for most EPM System products Installed

EPMA:It allows Creating,Maintaining,Synchr Creating,Mainta ining,Synchronizing onizing the core applications through a graphical interface and It works with Calculation manager,Planning,HFM,Essbase,Profitability, and Cost Management

To implement HFM we need to have two groups Internal External

Internal Team:SME,aPP aDMNISTRATOR Infrastruture Infrastruture support, and a Project Manager

External Team: SME'S: HAS Accounting required,Including Tax,Treasury,Management Reproting and especially Consolidation accounting .Subject Matter Exper's Second thing we need to slect slect App Administrator Administrator Which is a critical thing Although HFM uses Visual basic spots and has scripting,HFM is not a tool used by Infrastruture group,it is a finance tool Project Manager to communicate risks,track tasks to the budget, Most full implemenataion takes 5 to 8 months .

HFM Project Time Line

First Month:Establishing Requirements and Design

Installation,Adminsitrator Training and Change Control Process Meeting Should also happen during this month

Second and Third Month:Building Activities

Develop Rule's,Create Strutures[Often Called Metadata] and Build Reports

during this month

Data should be loaded into HFM asap,It is important to load data early for two reasons

First

The Development Team determine performance and identify issue's during the build

Second

It will help with determining performance issues early in the project.
