APG40 manual signature update Manually antivirus update This procedure is used when you want to update the antivirus software localy. You must connect (via FTP) to the ftpav.ca.com and download the signature files the LCT, then connect to the APG40 nodes via Maintenance Port and copy the files to the nodes. Download signature files from the FTP area to temporary folder in your LCT. Connect to the ftp area (ftpav.ca.com). Logon as anonymous user. C:\signature_files> ftp ftpav.ca.com User: anonymous Password: Go to directoy /pub/inoculan/scaneng/ : ftp> cd /pub/inoculan/scaneng/ Download the following files: ii_nt86.exe, iv_nt86.exe, fi_nt86.exe,fv_nt86. exe and Siglist.txt (select BINARY type for exe files and ASCII for txt file.) ftp> get filename Copy files to a temporary area in both nodes in the APG. Create a temporary folder in C: drive in both APG40 nodes(Local Path) mkdir C:\tmp\antivirus Connect the LCT to the PDC by connecting the crossed Ethernet cable to Ethernet port one, labeled ETH1 (IP: 192.168.200.1). Change the LCT IP address to 192.168.200.2 (subnet mask:255.255.255.0) Open a FTP connection to the APG40 and logon as administrator (See Chapter 6.7). C:\signature_files>ftp 192.168.200.1 Change directory to /images and create a new folder: ftp> cd images ftp>mkdir antivirus Upload Files to the new folder in the APG: ftp>cd antivirus ftp>put filename (select BINARY type for exe files and ASCII for txt file.) Copy the signature files to the temporary folder created in drive C: in both APG40 nodes: C:\tmp\antivirus>copy \\\K$\images\antivirus\ C:\tmp\antivirus\ Configure the AP - Node A. Select Start->Programs—>eTrustInoculate—>eTrustInoculateIT. The Local Scanner window is displayed. In the Local Scanner window, in the Scanner menu, select Signature Update Options. The Signature Update Options window is displayed. In the Signature Update Options window, select the Incoming tab. The Download Sources list is displayed. In the Download Sources list, click the Add button. The Source Select window is displayed. In the Source Select window, in the Method list, select Local Path. A Path field is displayed. In the Path field, enter the path to the directory containing the signature files, either by typing it directely or by clicking the Browse button and

The problem exists on the passive node and the active node is functioning normally. PROCEDURE: Use the following steps to power cycle the faulty node. Use the "APG40, Node, Change OPI" as a reference. Check the status of the drives. Make sure all disks on bus 0 (d#b0t#d#) have the status "Optimal". If any of the disks on bus 0 do not have the status "Optimal" then contact the next level of support. Please follow the steps below: Define a destination: OPI “Common Destination Handling, Destination, Define“ Use the Ip address of remote side, username, password and path Define a destination set: OPI “Common Destination Handling, Destination Set, Define“ The destination set should include the destination defined at step 1 Define a transfer queue: OPI “AP File Processing, Transfer Queue, Define“ The transfer queue should point twards the destination set defined at step 2. Change the alogfile definition to include the transfer queue: OPI “AP, Audit Log, Attributes, Set“ Basically the alog files will be sent to the remote FTP server on the following way: Alogfile -> transfer queue -> destination set -> destination -> FTPServer The 4 steps above will result in the following 4 commands: cdhdef cdhdsdef afpdef

Simply press the Command file window button on the button bar or select File | New from the menu bar. This creates a command file that is automatically associated with the active channel. Type in a few MML commands into the command file window. Here is an example of a very simple command file (AXE): dpwsp; plldp; exrpp:rp=all; You can save this file for later use with the Save button on the button bar or from File | Save menu. 3.4.2.2 Send

WinFIOL starts to send the MML commands one by one and shows you the progress of the transmission in the Transmission dialog box. If any of the commands are faulty and not accepted by the target exchange, the transmission is paused and you can correct the MML commands (see section 6.3). You can also send a whole command file without opening it into a command file window first. To do so, press F2 in the active channel file or select Run | Transmit File menu.
