INTRODUCTION This guide introduces two methods s to set up a Grandstream m phone for use with 3CX X Phone Sysstem. It is e to the follow wing Grandstre eam phone models: m GXP1 1400, GXP1405, GXP1450 0, GXP2100, GXP2110 applicable and GXP2 2120. Firmwa are version 1.0.1.83 has been b tested a against 3CX PhoneSystem m v10 (beta)). Different firmware revisions r may y have different web interfa ace formats a and functionallities.

MANUA AL CONFIGU URATION  CONFIGURE YOUR SIP P ACCOUNT VIA V THE WEB INTERFACE O OF THE PHON NE  1. Ensurre that you ha ave created the extension that you wissh to use with h the phone in 3CX Phone e System.

Take note e of the ID and d the passwo ord fields that you have enttered for the e extension. 2. Conne ect the Grandstream GXP-1450 or GXP P21xx phone tto the networrk and power supply. The p phone will boot up, and a providing g you have DHCP D installe ed on your ne etwork, it will obtain an IP P and displayy it at the bottom of the phone’s LCD screen. 3. Use your y browser to access th he web interfa ace of the ph hone by ente ering http:// w where is the IP address shown on o the phone. 4. Enterr the passwo ord of the ph hone and clic ck login to a access the p phone’s config guration. password is “admin”.

5. Click on o Accounts Æ ACCOUNT T 1 tab at the top of the pa age. 6. Now you y can configure the “AC CCOUNT 1” settings. Firstt of all make sure that “Acccount Active e” is set to “Yes”. En nter an accou unt name forr the phone in n the “Accou unt Name” bo ox. This settin ng is not used by 3CX Phone Sy ystem. It will be b displayed when making g calls to othe er phones dire ectly.

7. In the “SIP Server” field, enter th he IP address s or DNS nam me of the 3CX X Phone Syste em server.

8. Repea at the same se etting for the Outbound O Pro oxy option. 9. Enter the t extension number you want to asso ociate with thiss account in tthe “SIP Userr ID” field. 10. Enterr an “Authenticate ID” and “Authenticate e Password” i n the corresp ponding fieldss. Note: Th hese fields must m match th he ID & pas ssword config gured in the “ID” and “Password” fiellds in the Authentica ation section of the “Add Extension” E pag ge in the 3CX X Managemen nt Console. 11. Scroll to the bottom m of the page e and press “Update” to sa ave these setttings and the e phone should register with 3CX Phone System.

12. Now switch to the 3CX Phone System S Mana agement conssole, and clickk on Phone S System Æ Exttension Status (Th his is the defa ault page). Th he extension should s be liste ed, and the sstatus should show “Registtered (idle)”.

YS (FOR GXP P-2100, GXP P-2110 AND G GXP-2120 O ONLY) CONFIGURE BLF KEY

BLF keys indicate the status s of the monitored m exttensions on th he phone. Th he three possiible states are e idle (green), busy b (red), ringing (blinking g red). To setu up the BLF ke eys please follow the stepss below: 1. Lo og into the ph hone’s web co onfiguration UI. U 2. Click C on Settings Æ BASIC SETTINGS tab t at the top of the page. 3. Scroll down the e page to “Mu ulti Purpose Keys” K section .

Under U “Multi Purpose Key X” X sub-section n : (where X iss in the Multi Purpose Keyy number) a. b. c. d.

In “Key Mode e” field, selectt “Busy Lamp Field (BLF)” from the list. In “Account” field, f select th he appropriate e account (Acccount 1 in ou ur example). In “Name” field, enter a na ame for the exxtension to monitor. In “UserID” fie monitor. eld, enter the extension SI P user ID to m

4. Scroll to the bo ottom of the page p and click k “Update” to save these ssettings and th he configured d BLF ke eys should lig ght up on the phone.

XP-2100 and GXP-2120 G ha ave 7 program mmable BLF e extension keyys, whereas G GXP-2110 hass 18 Note: GX programm mable BLF extension keys.

PNP (P PLUG AND PLAY) Another method m to set up a phone for f use with 3C CX Phone Syystem is to usse the built-in PnP auto-pro ovisioning functionality inside 3CX X PhoneSyste em. This will allow a the pho one to configu ure itself by re etrieving a 3cxxgenerated d phone configuration file with w zero conffiguration on tthe phone. Please follow these ste eps to provisio on your phone using PnP. 1. Power on yourr Grandstream m phone and connect it to tthe same LAN N as 3CX PhoneSystem. 2. Lo og into your 3CX 3 server by y typing http:/// >:5000 (exam mple: http://192 2.168.1.250:5 5000) or op pen 3CX Man nagement Console directly y. 3. Click C on “Phon nes” on the lefft panel.

5. Right--click on yourr GXP phone, as shown in the following screenshot

6. You can c add a new w extension to o be used on this phone orr “Assign to e existing extenssion”. If you cchoose “Assig gn to existing extension”, a list of available extension ns will appearr, then you ne eed to select a an extension and click k OK.

7. General extension information will w be display yed, click on ""Phone Provissioning" tab.

Redo R steps (a a) and (b) for each BLF needed a GXP-2120 have 7 prog grammable B BLF extension n keys, whereas GXP-2110 0 has 18 Note:: GXP-2100 and progra ammable BLF F extension keys. k 10. Click on “Apply” the en “OK”. 11. Your phone will reb boot automatically. 12. Congratulations! Your Y phone is now provisioned successffully.
