Introduction:

GU320a is a kind of intelligent controller of generator which adopt high grade CMOS chip. It can configure the control procedure and protection parameters of the generator, including lots of function such as measuring, controlling, protection, three remote and so on, which completely satisfied the automatic controlling requirement of different generator sets for the generator user or factory. The controller measure and display all parameters the generator output, and the rotating speed, oil pressure, temperature, DC source voltage, running time of the engine and so on. All of the voltage measured in real virtual value to ensure the accuracy of the data. Including big LCD display and menu selection for Chinese and English. The keys on the control panel are used to select the control mode, start the running procedure, display data, and modify the running protection parameters. The LED indicates the operating mode of the controller and the running state of the generator sets. LCD display each measured parameter and state. The controller is integrated closely by aluminum alloy panel and steel shell which has been spurt powder. All connection of  the controller are connected by pin-like terminal with lock, such device can be connected 、moved 、maintained and replaced easily easil y and conveniently. conveniently.

This manual is available for the generator intelligent controller cont roller GU320a GU320a only, which you should carefully read before use 2

The whole Operation panel is divided into three parts: LED display for measuring parameters 、operating keys and runningstatus LED indicate。 3.1 LCD and its controlling keys

LCD with 128×64mm lattice can display multiple multiple lines of data information simultaneo simultaneously usly and additive background-light function which make operators read information whenever day or night. To turnoff the background-light, just keep pressing any key for a while. LCD and its control keys provide a friendly operating interface for operators, operators can read information and setting running parameters conveniently. conveniently.

AUTO key/LED The key is used for “auto-operate mode”. Running in this mode, the LED above the button will illuminate. According to the “remote control startup input signal”, the controller determines whether the generator startup or not.

MAN Key / Indicator Light The key is used for “manual-operation mode”. Running in this mode, the LED above the button will illuminate. By pressing “START” and “STOP” key, the controller will start or stop the generator.

TEST Key/ Indicator Light The key is used for testing operation mode settings. Running in this mode, the indicator light on the key on. Here, when the

STOP/RESET key /LED Used to stop the generator by hand, when the controller set in “MAN” mode, this key could stop the generator. Press this key more than 2 seconds can release the fault stop lock if there is fault output. (When the controller performing the stop procedure, the indicator light above the key illuminate. If failed to stop, the light flash.)

LAMP TEST / MUTE key Alarm mute and lamp test key. Press the key more than 2 seconds, all LEDs on the panel will light. It used to test all LEDs on the panel. When Pre-alarm Pre-alarm or fault alarm occur, press this key can mute the buzzer. At the same time the light above the key illuminate. Press it again will cancel mute. If the controller still in fault, the buzzer will keep alarm.

5.7 The oil electromagnetic valve is the start running and stop process of the generator of normal open type.( Different from normal closed type). Start control process

When start running, oil relay of the controller take no action, no power in the oil electromagnetic valve, namely the oil electromagnetic magnet take no action. Stop control process

The control at the begging of the stop control process output oil electromagnetic valve source, oil electromagnetic valve action, the engine begin to stop. Then powered down after for the delay according to the fail to start delay setting. Other control process is the same to the engine of normal closed oil electromagnetic valve.

5.8 Idle Function While READY, the idle relay open, controller runs the start procedure, start delay begin to count down, the idle relay active the same time. When startup and the start motor open, idle delay begin to countdown (if IDLE DELAY is set 0, the idle relay will open, then begin to safety-on delay, namely the controller has no idle function). When delay time out, the idle relay will open, the safety-on time begin and after each parameter run in normal, the generator sets run.

NOTE: u

u

The data of low oil pressure pre-alarm is from the measuring of the oil pressure sensor, and the data of low pressure stop fault is from the measuring of the oil pressure sensor (set for no use at factory) or the oil pressure switch state. The data of high temperature pre-alarm is the water position from the measuring of the temperature sensor, and the data of high temperature stop fault is the water position from the measuring of the temperature sensor (set for no use at factory) or the temperature switch state .

u

The rotating speed of the engine typically from the measuring frequency of the speed sensor mounted on the flywheel of the engine, if no speed sensor equipped in the system, the controller will take the voltage frequency of  the generator output as the controlling and fault fault protection parameter. par ameter. To be convenient for for the user, part of the data is rotating speed, RPM=HZ*30.

u

Generator fault during the running of the generator: stop instantaneously after the high temperature , or low pressure, or overspeed, or under speed occur. But the low speed and low pressure required the idle delay set to 0 (without idle function) to active protection, or it won't be active.
