Abstract: This project gives best solution to replace the present paper based notice board system with advanced electronic notice board. This is an echo friendly system; in this paper usage is not required. In this method messages will be updated using GSM modem. Notice boards play a vital role in offices, in shops and mostly in educational institutions. This project is based on ATMEL AT89S52 micro controller.LED for notice display, GSM for notice receiving wirelessly. In present notice sending system the events, occasions or any news, which has to be passed to the students, will be written on the notice boards present in every floor in the colleges or schools or in offices or in shops. A person will be told the news and he has to update this news on all the notice boards present in the college or school. This will be seen mostly during the examination seasons. The time table or the schedule of the exams has to be given to the students. This will be done by writing the details on the notice boards and for small changes also we have to same process again. But this process consumes a lot time to update the news on all the notice boards and requires more papers. In normal electronic boards message will be updated using system but this is also not much useful as we need to use the PC and long distance wire. Now a day’s so many useful technologies are coming out to make our life style more comfort, luxurious and secure. Wireless Electronic Notice Boards have been designed, which completely eliminates paperwork and reduces the manual work and time. This project is designed with wireless technology that is GSM. The heart of this system is micro controller; this will receive data from GSM modem using UART (universal transmitter and receiver), update this message on LED board through same UART only. This system also alerts the buzzer when new message is received. In this we are using Atmel AT89S52 controller, it is 8bit controller which has inbuilt 8k bytes flash memory,256 bytes RAM and 32 I/O pins and UART the advantages of this controller are low cost, availability of tools and resources are more. GSM technology is a long-range wireless communications technology. It has been developed rapidly in recent years. In this we are using GSM module and its operating voltage is 12v and 1
amp, data format is UART with 9600 baud rate. The advantages of GSM are more secured and can send messages from anywhere. Electronic notice boards are user friendly and echo friendly, they are replacing present paper usage notice boards. We can use either LCD or LED boards. LEDs boards are more attractive
Software Tools: KEIL IDE for developing micro controller code ORCAD for designing schematics PROLOAD or FLASH MAGIC for dumping the hex file into controller
Advantages: Easy to use and reduces man power. No need to connect notice board to PC to update the message Safe and secured It is echo friendly; with this we can eliminate usage of paper.
