BRF and FR Relative Strengths BRF Strength (relative to FR) 

Dismounted Ops . The BRF’s major  strength lies in its suitability for a wide variety of dismounted ops. MVT. The BRF’s combination of  dismounted skills is particularly suited to targeting targetin g MVT. MVT. Endurance Ops at Reach . CVR(T) has a high logistic burden cf. Jackal. The BRF is often better-suited to endurance tasks at reach. Posture. Jackal has a less aggressive posture than CVR(T), which may help with ‘soft’ engagement tasks.

FR Strength (relative to BRF) 

Mounted Recce . (CVR(T) equipped) FR is better  suited to recce tasks that are predominately mounted. CVR(T) has much better  day and night sights. Mounted Combat . In some terrain and tactical situations, CVR(T) armour  and gun provide a better  capability than Jackal.

ARMOUR IN COE

 Armour SWOT SWOT Strengths: •Psychological Impact •Accurate Fire •Inherent Protection •Overwatch •Intimate Support •Assault/Break-in •Deterrent Effect •Force Multiplier •Minimise Collateral •Good Comms

Weaknesses: •Needs Protection •Terrain poss constraint •Planning vs Reaction •Impact on Infrastructure

Threats: •IED, ATGW, RPG •Totemic Asset •Core Skills Fade •TES Updates •Own Decision Process

Opportunities: Tanks in overwatch in direct sp of Inf – breaching ops. Surprisingly good mobility and terrain accessibility – subject to seasonal constraints. Mine plough and rollers 120mm as anti-structures and AP round. Potential for reduced collateral. Medium Armour.
