The 155mm ER-DP-ICM GRM49-BB is an Extended Range - Loading type Projectile used against personnel and armoured targets – such as Tanks and APCs

The time fuze, set before launching, initiates the Expulsion Charge at an ideal height of 500 meters and expels the Grenades from the rear of the Projectile.

The projectile 155mm HE/ICM GRM49 is compatible with the most modern 39 & 52 guns 155mm Howitzers. Some of them are the M109A1/M109A2/M109A3 (cannon M185), M109A5/M109A6 (cannon M284), M198 (cannon M199), M71, FH-70, FH77A, GH-N45, PzH 2000 etc.

The 49 grenades are dispersed due to the centrifugal force generated by the projectile’s spin, in a circular pattern covering a surface of 12.000 – 14.000 m2

Technical Description The Projectile 155mm ER-DP-ICM GRM49-BB consists of: The main body Fortynine (49) dual purpose grenades with: body of high fragmentation steel 40g of explosive material each point detonating, self destructed fuze Expulsion Charge and Base Bleed unit

The grenades descent to the target with the charge facing downward. The attached ribbon reduces spin and at the same time stabilize the trajectory.

Packaging Each Projectile is fitted with lifting plug 8 Projectiles are put on a pallet Packaging secures safe land, sea and air transportation and long term storage. Other packaging configuration are available, to meet specific customer needs.

On impact, the firing pin actuates the Explosive charge of the grenade to detonate, producing: Fragmentation in 200 active fragments Penetration of 80mm of armoured steel
